before peroxide, soak in citric acid and baking soda in alternate sessions to get rid of anything that is caked on the surface, then peroxide, that will give you a good surface, but if it is rough by nature, there is no way you can make it like right without heavy sanding and polishing

I figured out when I was filing it down that the colouring is just on the outermost layer of shell, that is, too serious a file/sand/grind/scour will probably just remove the colour clean off. I really like the idea of polishing though, what material should I use?

Anywhere from 30 seconds to fuck it, I quit. Typically a locksmith will make a magic show out of it, errecting a curtain and everything. A nigger will just kick the door in. And anywhere requiring a door that a single nigger can't kick in will use locks that can't be simple picked in 15 minutes.

It's a little more complicated than that, you fuckwit

I've used X10 technology to do stuff like that. you need a USB-X10 interface box, and X10 receivers in your lights, or the light switches, or sockets. however, it's a dying technology which is being replaced by something whose name i forget. see www.smarthome.com for examples.

With the 150A one you can use electrodes up to 3,2mm. With the 250 one up to 4mm maybe 5 if they dont have a thick flux. It also depends on the type and brand what amperage they need to be run on. You will be more limited with the 150A, but if thats good enough for what you want to weld, then get the 150 one and save some money.

Are they DC or AC?. I prefer AC runs smoother, no arc-blow,

check the duty-cyle. The 250 will probably have a higher one. meaning you can weld for a longer period of time with a higher amperage. Without the machine overheating.

Several factors can be at play here.
Are you on the right polarity?
What is the thickness of metal?
What type of metal are you trying to weld?
What electrodes are you using?

Some common mistakes. The usual, travel speed, angle and distance. Make sure you got those down pat.

Buddy it's all depends on what you're making.
If you're making a housing for a device that's as big as a TV or a microwave, you can go with wood, since its secure long lasting relatively light.
If you're making something the size of a cell phone wood would be bulky. maybe use aluminium sheets if you know how to shape them. these are somewhat sturdier and look more solid but are a bitch to put together if you cant weld.
If your set on plastics, use a polyester resin and fiberglass and cut it to shape with a dremel for your thin case if it's just a case and not functional parts.

I want to eventually make a bluetooth solar interior lighting system w/ app for entertainment lighting.
I plan on using those new flat LED styling lighting.
I'm keen on plastics because I want to be able to remold and remodel new designs if the first doesn't work.

I've never worked with fiberglass or any resins before, what tools would I need?
I also plan on making my own cosplay gear this year so I'm building a small area on the side of my house for projects.

I've only seen industrial doors being worked on . But if you look at your garage door spring you'll see it has paint on it probably in a corkscrew fashion. Before its tensioned that paint is in a single straight line along the entire coil. They'd count their quarter turns and usually it be around 40 or more. So roughly 10 or more full rotations.

Just something I picked up driving the gdoor guy around on an order selector. But we're also talking like 30x30 doors.

What kind of communication? Telemetry? Video? Commands? What interface are you using to connect to Arduino and laptop currently? Also what terrain? You could achieve everything with a simple 2.4GHz WIFI or RF link.
