otherwise, ready made circuits can be found by googling. one easy way is to use a Blackberry car adapter (charger) with takes in 10-25V and puts out 5V. $3 at the thrift store. other brands may work, but are not specifically rated for 25V.

It's not 'milliampere-hours', it's just milliamps, and it's not '0.28mA', that would be 280 *microamps*, it's 280 *milliamps*, or 0.28A.

Now, then.. what you need is a step-down (or 'buck') switching power supply. Since you need 5V (not 'around' 5V, it's *5V*) you can get a module that does this off-the-shelf -- which in your case is a good thing, since I don't have much faith at this point in your being able to actually construct one.

a bookshelf is the simplest thing anyone can make. go to your local big-box store, look for shelving wood, it looks like the pic, and is typically 8-14 inches wide, by 8 feet long. the front side is covered in veneer so it looks good. you need 2 pieces for the sides, say 1'x5' and 5 pieces for the shelves, 1'x2'. for each shelf, drill 2 holes thru the side pieces, and drive 2-in screws thru the middle of the shelves, after drilling pilot holes. when you stand it up, it'll be all wiggly, so you need to add a cross-brace in the back to make it solid as fuck.

Vinegar should kill it, but you'd need to wait for it to essentially die and crumble out of the fibers (assuming they have not been permanently marred by the mold) before the discolouration goes away. I'd try hitting it with vinegar, letting it sit for an hour or so, then a few days out in the sun followed by a wash.

I couldn't find anything on google for getting a shape in such a deep piece. Was looking under the presumption of using wood, and with no one local able to do this if there was a better way of doing this before going down that route.

I am asking trying to find the optimal way to do this regardless of resources time etc., I was thinking wood would be best but as you said getting the shape depends on the material, if a certain wood or something else is best I would like to know. Regarding skills, if I don't have them I can find someone that does, but its best to approach with an idea in mind hence I am here trying to find the best way, before finding the people for it.

Traditionally you'd use rods, joined in the middle of the 'X'.

As you've observed, flexible cables are not much use in compression.

If it absolutely has to be cables, then a wooden brace across the back would make the member a full box, and then the only movement you'd have to worry about is where the legs stay parallel and move away from square. Cables can help now, because whichever direction this happens in, one of them will be in tension.

3TB for camping seems a bit excessive, unless you're doing some major league video editing. usually I take out my HDD and use a Linux distro on a 16G thumb-drive, along with a few gigs of pron, and that keeps me occupied for a couple of weeks.

yes. MERV 8 filters were used and provided to the tenant. but smoke permeates everything.
