Try drawing it. A lot. Then choose the best one, then try to make it better. Choose the best one again. Then keep going, until you find an almost satisfying (but not quite) drawing, and present that to your art teacher.

Conversely you can just pass a Photoshop filter for drawifying it, then trace that shit.

If you don't know about shooting, don't get too geared out. You can replace the trigger later. Perfectly normal parts can get you to 200-300 yards with a 308

Also, full sized cartridges aren't that fun to plink with or train with, so I'd say get an ar-15 and git Gud with that first.

To make one I bought a cheap webcam to sacrifice for $10.

This particular camera has a resolution of 1024x768 and a very narrow FOV which makes it almost impossible to use as an actual webcam.

The wire that comes attached is a stiff positionable cable which I promptly replaced with a thinner more flexible one.

I milled out a piece of scrap plastic and drilled a hole to press in a shaft. The mill is still crooked so everything on this block is crooked, but it doesn't matter as long as the camera is looking close to center and you use a short fixed focal length.

To calibrate the camera I first pecked a small hole with a center drill on a piece of scrap.

The camera shaft fits into the same collet as the drill.

I thought I'd like him and subbed after the dovetail and stone sink, but every video since then hasn't been worth watching.

Keep in mind that the screw is very soft and easy to strip, be careful with it.
It's also reverse threaded, righty tighty doesn't apply here.

I also like to dab a bit of blue locktite on it.
If your drill doesn't have a locking feature, you might have to apply the Allen Key and Hammer method to get the chuck off.

I'm not a theoretical physicist, but the a device that can pull "hyperspace energy" out of "subspace" will inevitably fall into one of two categories, impossible to make/use or fucking useless.

People have been patenting impossible machines for as long as patents have existed, as a form of intellectual property. Just because someone dreamed it up, wrapped a piece of wood with copper wire and called it a "hyperspace energy generator" doesn't mean it fucking works.

So they're both horseshit. But that's just my opinion.

Basswood is one of the common ones afaik. At woodcraft they leave the hunks of it by all the carving tools.

Your chisels are probably dull. You shouldn't have trouble cutting into anything softer than ebony with even a basic chisel.

If the chisel does not have a metal cap on the end of its handle do NOT hit it with anything but your hand or a special hammer (traditionally wooden or leather, modern rubber or plastic). Many carving chisels are not meant to be stuck and you will fuck them up if you do. If the chisels have long handles then they are likely lathe chisels and not meant for carving. Paring chisels are meant to be struck but they aren't made for decorative carving so they wont really help you. Pictures would really help. Like a ton. Post some.

I will tomorrow, if the thread is still here in the morning. I'm used to slow boards like /tg/ and /his/ so hopefully it'll be here. And yeah. I did fuck them up though; I spent probably 4 hours hammering pretty hard into what I can only assume is cedar or pine (2x4's) to make my mom a tray. Luckily I have a whetstone and I only used the wide-angle (easy-to-sharpen) gouges and chisels just in case. I did fuck one up really badly as I hammered it into a screw I didn't know was in the wood, so it's dulled/serrated now. None of them have ironshod butts.
