Love that the shop is tidy. Can you share more?

I'll have to see if I have more. It's from my highschool. I'm friends with the shop teacher so he still lets me use it if I need to
I've been wanting to have one of those health/mana potion bottles on my desk.
I got some flasks that were left around in the lab, but now I have no idea how to make a liquid that's red/blue and consistent enough.
I've been searching a bit, and I've seen some guys on Etsy selling earring and necklaces, and they mention goo and resin, but where do I find something like that?
>>1097067
nigga just get some food dye and water you stupid autist
>>1097067
Try some fresca, it is opaque. Since it has a slight green tint you will probably would have better results with the mana one though.
>>1097067
Buy Gatorade.
Who has lived in one of these before? Need some opinions before I start this shit.
Seems like the best option for a mobile utilitarian home. Seems like as long as you have something to haul propane/water, and have a plan for electricity you are set (minus getting someone to pump sewage out of it).
>>1096893
Thats just pretty much a mini trailer house. Nothing special.
>>1096907
Expert here.
I can confirm this.
>>1096907
This. It's simply a mobile home that is actually meant to be mobile in a much more real sense than your run of the mill trailer park unit, as it will be drug around from one well to the next with quite some frequency.
Last one died so this is the second one.

Whats the best alternative to burying a shipping container for use as a bunker that won't require tonnes of reinforcement cos you're nigger rigging something that shouldn't be buried in the first place?
Concrete Culvert?
That plastic corrugated culvert?
or something else?
>>1096868
I'd go with culvert. Concrete is good, but I'd check out the specs on that plastic stuff as well. It could be just as good. Buried plastic tanks are a thing.

How important is it to process clay before tempering, forming and firing?
>>1096709
Processing the clay before the forming is quite important. Do you want to create a large container to cook in? Put more organic particles in your clay dough, so when the container is being fired the organic part will burn and you'll have a comparatively easy to pick up pot. Do you want a fine cup to drink from? Be sure to spend more time on filtering all the small particles from the clay before you start processing it.
It's my third year studying Archaeology and I'm specializing in Prehistory. The stuff the Australian man from your picture does is quite authentic, it's my favourite Youtube channel.
>>1096709
Depends on where you find it. It comes down to how workable (plastic) it is, and how much other shit is in it. I'll give you two extremes.
Riverbank clay is nice and smooth. It often only needs to be dried out a little bit to use straight up. However, it usually has so much organic matter in it (rotting plant shit), that the loss on ignition is very high. This means that it'll shrink a lot more than purer clay, which means it is very susceptible to cracking during drying and firing. There may also be big rocks and shit in there that fuck you up when forming things.
Now let's say you dug a couple feet down past the soil layer somewhere to find clay. It'll be relatively purer (and doesn't stink), so you won't have a crazy high shrinkage rate, but it's chunky and too dry. It needs to be broken up into small pieces or powder, then needs a lot of water added to make it the right consistency. There may be rocks and shit in there that need to be picked or sifted out.
A good field test for whether or not a clay you find is worth a damn is you prepare a tennis ball sized amount by either drying it out or crushing/wetting it to a dough consistency, rolling it into a pencil-thickness coil, and wrapping it around your finger a few times. If it can do that without cracking into pieces, but stays in that shape when you pull your finger out, it's good clay.

Any suggestions on how to make a DIY SS or Wehrmacht uniform? Those professional replicas are way too expensive for me.Any ideas?

Fucking /pol/ I swear to god
any electronics people know the best way to a get 100hz clock pulse from 60hz mains?
the output of a full wave rectifier should be 120hz, right? so in theory, I should be able to divide that down to 100, but I don't quite know how.
I want to take this 100hz and make a clock display that will display the time down to the 1/100th of a second, so:
HH:MM:SS:XX, like a stop watch.
I plan on feeding this 100hz clock pulse to an arduino as an interrupt to advance the time.
google tells me how to get an arduino to generate 100hz, or how easy it is when I'm not in north america.
You need a PLL/VCO. It's not straightforward.
Maybe instead you could use the 120 Hz and cheat by throwing away 20 cycles, if it doesn't have to be accurate in reality.
>>1096140
well.. seeing that it's a clock, I'd like it to be as accurate as the mains AC will let it.
if I just feed 120hz to an arduino as an interupt, can I have it divide down to 100hz in code and have it reliable -- where it won't miss a pulse due to being busy doing some light number crunching or checking other input pins for status and updating LED output? or depending on how hard its working, I can't really rely on it keeping up with the clock pulse?
>>1096145
120 Hz should give you plenty of time to do what you need to do, at least with AVR-GCC. For a 16 MHz chip, that's over 100k instructions. Dunno if Arduino has too much overhead or not.
Where can i by a shipping container to use as a underground bunker. Also does anyone have plans to outfit it like pick related.
Craigslist, also make sure you are inside the container when they burry it in, you want to keep an eye out for leaks.

Where can I buy a dull rusty pencil sharpener to peel my fucking eyes out with so I don't have to read these fucking threads every single week.

I'm not a plumber and I also can't afford one right now.
My shower drains very slow. So draino didn't work. I couldn't use one of those zip tie devices because of the steel blockage (I'll post pics).
So I asked my neighbor and he said buy lye. I couldn't find lye at walmart so I bought draino crystals (which is most likely almost all lye). I tried pouring some in and then running water thought 3 times and still slow drainage. So i put about half the can in there and now It's just clogged with lye.
Will it eventually dissolve? or will I get nice burns on my feet while I shower tomorrow in a puddle of lye?
How can i fix the drain problem? There is no access to the pipes and this metal thing is blocking me from putting anything in there
Also I know my shower is dirty. It's because It's been clogged for 2 weeks and I'm just getting around to attempting to fix it. An the faucet drips so it gets moldy with all the standing water
the green shit is the drino crystals
1) Buy a 10$ hand crank snake
2) Take the 2 screws off the overflow and run it down there
3) Pull out your caustic shit soup
that shit got kinda smokey. I had to close the door I was coughing my ass off
Got a few project I want to pursue.

How would i go about making a trilaminate retort pack? Just JB weld some plastic to some thick aluminum? Add flux gel and heat?

>How would i go about making a trilaminate retort pack? Just JB weld some plastic to some thick aluminum? Add flux gel and heat?
From Wikipedia:
A retort pouch is a type of food packaging made from a laminate of flexible plastic and metal foils.
So no, do not weld plastic and thick aluminum. Visit the wiki page, it's got it's own "Construction" section that'll help you.

Did a few wiki-jumps and I got to say, I'm much more interested in the flameless ration heater - seems simple enough to make:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flameless_ration_heater
tl;dr - Contents are just precisely measured water, table salt, super fine iron shavings, and super fine magnesium shavings. The salt dissolves in water, making each iron and magnesium particle to become a battery. When the iron parts touch the magnesium parts these micro-batteries short-circuit and generate heat.

See garden tractor forums and specify the ENGINE make and model as well as the tractor model. You can find manuals online for most common engines.
Google "cub cadet forums". There is plenty of info out there for those popular machines.
Hey guys. I am constantly fixing things on my and my family/friends cars. I usually end up using a jack and not going under them or driving up on a curb/wall to to get under them but I'm getting older and shit is cold now.
I'm looking to get ramps in my garage, I've found these, are they any good? I've been told by some they are really unstable but they look fine - is there a way to make them stable?
>>1095520
i use ramps for anything that i know the wheels don't need to come off. usually oil change.
you still need to crawl around a little to make sure they are perfectly straight otherwise your wheel will be hanging off the side.
first ever time i did it it took me 3 or 4 tries to get the wheel not half hanging over the edge. trick is to look down the front and back wheel to line up its more accurate.
the only thing i would say about stability is that one time i did it on a slope and went up too fast, when the wheels hit the back stop one of them skidded a little while the other tipped and stuck at an angle. backed off no problem but fucking scary. i had no idea until i got out to look to see if it was aligned.
the other issue i had was trying to do it on gravel, both of them skidded around like cunts.
so tip is put a brick or cinderblock behind so it doesn't skid around. my neighbour suggested a strip of carpet on top and overlapping the front over the ground then secure it near the top/backstop bit to give the wheels something to grip BEFORE they are trying to cllimb the incline. kind of helped but bit of a hassle to set up.
i ended up getting an old wooden railway sleeper and after getting the car up perfectly, cutting a few slots in it where they needed to be for my car, slots set the distance/angle and heavy sleeper stops them sliding around.
a second person might seem useful but in my experience women just cause more headaches and confusion than help. of course there are women who are handy, i just have never met one.
>>1095522
That's good info. I have an oil leak I want to try and find and there is some exhaust work to do. I have a perfectly flat garage so the flooring should be ideal - I have plenty of shit to put behind the ramps to keep them still... I'm just paranoid as fuck that the car is going to land on me.
>>1095524
i was fucking dubious when i got them looking at those strips on the side i thought no way this is a good idea but i've used them maybe 20/30 times and there isn't so much as a bend anywhere on them, car is very sturdy you can't tell its not on the ground apart from the angle.
just make sure you check the weight limit!
of course have someone within earshot and keep your work area well ventilated even after your engine is off.
Hey /g/, ive been thinking about someway to clean my teeth at home. I had just seen this dentist guy(some kind of tooth doctor) and he said i need to brush my teeth. This was after i had him clean my teeth(i think he used some sort of brush on it, looked like a dremel). I cant find any brush small enough to fit in my mouth. I found this battery powered thing that seems small, but its $30 and its meant to clean the groot between tiles, i have carpets so i would have no other use for this, is it worth $30 to do something the dentist already did for me. Could i find something for my dremel?
Any help would be appreciated.

Slow board, patience newcomer.
I brush and floss every night and I still get plaque buildups on and behind my teeth - especially the front ones. I just use a safety-pin and a mirror to scrape the plaque buildup off from time to time - usually every 2 weeks or so. When I'm done and rub my tongue across the back of my teeth it feels like I just got out of the dentist's.
In fact, I'm due. Thanks for the reminder, anon.
>>1095074
Safety seems a lot cheaper then this tile brush thing

how can you not know the specialty of the person you just paid to see?
Sup /diy/.
I need some help here. I've been summoned to do jury duty tomorrow and the thing is....I just don't give a fuck about it. I'm a hardcore /diy/ + /biz/ guy and I've staved off the rest of the month's worth of workload because I have NO IDEA what to expect. I can't afford to be picked and miss LEGIT $$$ for $12/day and crunchy Coconut Carrot Cake provided by the local law institution.
How do I escape this?
Say you intend campaign for jury nullification in any case presented.
>>1094739
That's a crime. Just convince the jury selectors that you're openly racist.
>>1094723
Dont be a fag
Jury duty is actually kind of a fun weird experience in its own way.

Polished concrete yes or no? Im thinking of doing it in a couple of rooms but ive never seen it done in a smaller room.
Cold as fuck. Don't bother.
>>1093377
Was thinking more in terms of looks / aesthetics, i like that sort of industrial look but not too over the top.
>>1093366
My friend had a two story "barn" house built out in eastern CT. They did polished concrete for all of the floorings and stairs. Shit is SO COLD. Also they complain about it being a bitch to mount anything to the wall.
