I like clive's videos, but I think I will unsubscribe from him after this.

There are kids watching youtube, and I don't think these stupid titled videos, especially when dealing with electronics, are appropriate.

Immature and irresponsible Clive.

My house sits on a slab-on-grade foundation and I just don't see any problem that might occur if I let the water drop to the sides. If this is true, why do contractors spend extra money on useless shit like unwarranted gutters?

>>
>>1123568
ever heard of erosion? it can cause your slab to shift. figure the area your roof takes up and all the water gets dumped on the perimeter.

at least with gutters you can control where the water goes

Does your concrete slab go to the center of the earth?

> Warn my gf that if she wants to ue the table saw I just bought she has to be very carefulland preferably use pushsticks
> Fuck up myself

When was the last time you felt like an idot /diy/?

For the record, I always use pushsticks but in this case I was trying to grip the workpiece on the backside of the blade(behind the rinving knife) because it was so thin and pushsticks were to hard to use because there as no wood left on the side(cutting off just 2mm). I'm not sure how I managed to hit the blade but lesson learned I guess.

Be even more fucking carefull

that pic is (you)?

>if she wants to ue the table saw I just bought
she'd need someone experienced to supervise so she doesn't end up missing body parts

I have not injured myself with one yet; I do use pushsticks whenever possible, but I've gone a little close for comfort to slice off some thin pieces for knife scales

currently my thumb is bandaged up after nicking it with an angle grinder yesterday....didn't bleed a whole lot at first ,and I guess the pain hit all at once since I passed out a few minutes later while wrapping it up

I should have been wearing gloves, but I was grinding a small awkward shaped object while holding it and gloves probably would have made it even harder to hold

the next day it isn't raining/sleeting/snowing I'll get out my bench grinder and finish the job right

Number 1 personal safety protocol:

Never, ever rush. It's better to take 2 extra hours to complete a project than for those 2 hours to be spent in the hospital with a bill and an incomplete blood-spattered project.

Yes, this exactly what bandsaws are made of. Wood, and fucking electronics.

Sometimes I wish we could transplant /diy/ off of 4chan so we could avoid this kind of dumb shit.

what do you mean 'help'

do you have a design?
do you have a sketch?

'electronics' in a bandsaw should be a switch

do you really think someone who thinks a bandsaw can be made from timber will have any of this? why waste your time? and why encourage dumbasses to come here asking dumbass shit?

For an improvised touch pen you can use a cheese stick, or string cheese. This works with or without the wrapper, and with any touch screens.

I have a CB radio. Pic related -- it's the radio.
Unfortunately, it seems that it needs a vehicle mount. Is there a way to set this up so I can use it on foot, in the woods, etc. or am I an idiot for getting this thing?

All its should need is 12 volts DC. Make sure you have the battery capacity to run it for the length of time you need it.
>>
>>1126681
And a suitable antenna
>>
>>1126680
Put the battery in a backpack run the wire out to the pouch you carry the radio, order on Amazon after you connect the dots

So this is my proof of concept for an aeroponics system. I have a problem. The micro fogger nozzles are supposed to mist very fine. It only lets out a pitiful dribble.

I went from 70 mph motor to 300 ph as pictured. Is it too much pressure that makes it dribble? That's what I think since the outcome is the same

What the hell are you even trying to say in your second sentence?!

Do you mean 70 lph?
Neither lph, gph, or "ph" are units of measurement fro pressure.
Your pump probably doesn't make enough pressure to run those nozzles.

They're supposed to run at like 45-60 psi or some shit like that.

Your pump is probably generating like 6psi (if you're using a pond pump).
>>
>>1126513
Gallons per hour bae

The motor I originally had was 70 mph and the nozzles are rated 2 ph. I upgraded to 300 gph with the same result
