I want to make a segmented vase for a final project at school I've been touring for about two years so not beginner but not too hard either . mostly want help with the angles to cut to make a big small or medium circle thanks

Watch Wood by Toth, he makes a ton of these
>>
i have i just cant find the angles
>>
>>1178951
(3.14 x radius )/ number of segments= mahor radius of each segment. (Length of block to cut)

(360/ number of segments )/2 = cut angles. ( angle to miter on previously cut block)

Glue up the segments into rings using titebond 3.
Glue rings together.

Let dry.

Turn.

Finsih.

Enjoy

What is the best way to /b/roadcast fm radio frequency without being traced and found by the FCC?

go with a mobile setup, keep moving, make sure you stay as far the fuck away from frequencies in use as possible - end of the day, you probably still get caught tho, matter of some inevitability. Broadcasting from the same location/time, just makes it a whole lot quicker.

Faggs with ham radios call themselves fox hunters; they have nothing better to do that hunt people like you and I down. I reccomend a Yaesu VX-8DR. Buy a triple band antenna and go to a very public place with lots of people to broadcast.

Anyone interested in a home built CPU I did with 2 friends? Shamelessly promoting myself but I can offer advice, tutorials, diagrams, etc. on how to build a CPU from various ICs. I feel like there are some good guides on this topic but the end result is limited in scope or the tutorial does not touch enough on control logic properly / how to implement an instruction set.

Some details:
>36 instructions (more can/may be implemented in microcode)
>4 general purpose 8 bit registers
>16 bit programmer modifiable memory address register
>8 bit ALU with XOR, AND, ADD, OR, and SUB operations built from only logic gates
>8 bit stack pointer
>8 KB of program ROM and 56 KB of RAM
>~1.5 megahertz max clock, was able to multiply numbers in software at that speed and get valid results
>Support for subroutines with CALL and RETURN instructions

This project took several months but can be done faster for whoever is dedicated. I'd roughly guess 150+ 7400 series TTL chips were used + CMOS EEPROMs and a RAM.

Anyways I'll post a couple pics for those who are interested.

Here is control unit. I designed some circuitry on 3rd breadboard to the left that allows us to check conditions in the FLAGS register and advance to a different state in microcode if a certain condition is met.

Basically this allows me to do jump if zero, jump if carry, jump if not negative, and so on type of instructions.

I've got a wind-turbines and solar setup going that's giving me more energy than I know what to do with anymore. What are the best ways I can profit off of this without really needing to do much after setting-up some equipment? I've got the meter running backwards and aside from farming, crypto-mining and transaction commissions, I don't know what else to do.

Any ideas that aren't too bandwidth-hungry?

There are several good books and YouTube channels that are commonly recommended for beginners and those wanting to learn more, many with advanced techniques. i'm 20 and currently getting kicked out of the house.

I live just outside of Detroit and found a home for 1k with no back taxes. they are fucking giving these houses away. I was thinking about buying one getting it up to code, and making it into a fortress with defenses, self sustainability, and reinforced windows and doors. most likely wont have to worry about hostile nigs because all the other houses are pretty much burnt to the ground. i was thinking solar panels to help with bills. its on a half acre so i could definitely farm a lot of food.

also if I come to a point to where I can afford it, i will buy the rest of the block and set up a feudalist system where the homeless are the serfs. I would have i kingdom.

Does anyone do this anymore?
I want a geekvape avocado 24 but I'm new and only watched about a weeks worth of youtube on the subject so I'm not very knowledgeable.
So far I have a vision 1300 pen with a throw away sample atomizer and really enjoyed it.
I don't smoke tobacco regularly but enjoyed the vape.
Does the mod matter that much?
I don't plan on going mech for now but would like to know more for future reference.
Are all atomizers cotton and coil?
I want one that will do concentrates as well such as thc concentrate is that something different?
Drop some knowledge?

>>
>>1178635
To do concentrates you will need another atomizer

I'm running an evic vtwo mini atm which is a premade mod with voltage/temp control and stuff, if you're doing a custom mod you'll probably want a cutoff in there somewhere so you don't blow your face off
>>
>>1178640
I don't plan to build my own mod for some time. What type of atomizer do you need for concentrates? I assume the cotton wicks don't work for them.
>>
>>1178640
I was thinking about a preditor mod from wismec to start since smok sounds like they are having leaking issues but I have barely dipped a toe into mods.

Holy shit.
Why are they supporting a building with those thin beams? My shed is like a quarter of the size and it's a double brick-wall. These walls seem so flimsy compared to the roof structure. Why do americans keep doing this?

You guys have tornados and complain but if you just build a proper wall it would all be fine.

Fucking hell:

Hate to tell you but if a tornado hits a stone/concrete/brick house your fucked no matter what. Its about pressure. The windows break. And once that happens the roof lifts off and the whole house if fucked anyway.

Also stick framing is very solid once all the pieces are put together correctly.

I know this was a shitty troll attempt but still quit being such a fucktard. No one in 2017 is gonna pay the ridiculous prices to have a double bricked shed.. Bricks not cheap any more.
>>
>>1178137
Go look up the mechanical properties of wood.

Bloody hell, when Europeans talk about construction its like listening to a five year old who thinks that milk comes from a "supermarket" and know nothing about cows. They're right in some ways but wrong in so many more.
>>
>>1178143
Bricks are still cheap in Europe because it's the predominant building material.

Very rarely do you see wooden/steel frame houses.

The thought of buidling a house out of wood still feels very strange to most of us.

Also, if you have decent shutters the windows won't break that easily.

But we use stone because of durability and sturdiness so we are confused why you guys don't even though you're a first world country.

why something that shitty? you can get a more "house" looking shed like >>1181420

and yeah, you can totally get away with it provided you are so far out in the boonies that the municipality doesn't give a fuck about minimum square footage.

but getting a well and septic put in will be almost twice the cost of your cuck shed, so you might as well splurge and build something with a decent amount of square footage. shit, 3kw of solar will run you just as much as that shed and thats bare minimum for living off grid.

/sci/ sent me here.

Wanting to modify an air conditioner similar to the one pictured to help rectify some air quality problems.

My goal is to:
1- Ensure that airflow in exceeds airflow out in order to establish positive pressure inside
2- Add filtering materials to ensure that particles from the outside are not brought in.

What materials would be appropriate to add, and where should they be applied? Where to get cheap filters, what materials are good, and what substitutions may be made?

I was thinking of putting some fabric (an old cotton shirt) over the slits on the back of the unit to filter incoming air, and two layers on the front to reduce outward airflow, but seems inadequate for several reasons.

What you want is a a whole house fan, those ac units don't add positive pressure, they don't even bring air in from outside, it just cooling your ambient air and spitting it back out.
>>
>>1181028

These AC units just recirculate the air already in the room. what you are trying to do is completely unnecessary.
