You don't need to worry, there's plenty of vagina coming in the near future. The premise of Motherly Manhandling was something that Cyanide and I personally found pretty hot and wanted to do because we were inspired to, but even Jade and Alyx are going to have more milfy fun content in the future that's got vaginas present in it.

Maybe if giantesses were prevalent around the world, they'd have some sort of logistics widely available already.

Spending more time on a picture might make better results, but it won't make you a better artist if you don't know what you're doing wrong in the first place. Just hearing that reminds me of guys like miamikichi, neva or hank who can spend 20+ hours on one drawing to give it lots of detail and care, but it still looks wonky in the end because they don't quite have the basics down.
I actually think Alloy is on the right track by doing a lot of pictures, but could probably benefit from seeking out some help from some fresh pairs of eyes (preferably talented ones), and asking what they think could be improved on. obviously finding people who are good at that kind of thing is easier said than done though.

His followers mostly praise him since not a single one of them have left middle school level in terms of art. Each and every one of them is terrible, so what Alloy does seems fantastic by comparison.

That doesn't mean Alloy himself is terrible or bad though. At worst he is mediocre/average. I still watch his streams weekly, and while sometimes he fails on some pieces, he is still quite passable on others. You can see a major increase in skill as you go through his stuff overtime. Just that alone gives him potential over fags like Feyzer and Ra who are the perfect examples of stagnation possible.

That's what I mean about what I said earlier. I think a lot of reactions here are a little bit hyperbolic in regards to how bad he is. He's just aggressively mediocre, which is a problem in it's own right to be fair.

But his early stuff was seriously bottom of the barrel DA tier so even now, though he's improved, it's not that good.

The very sentence you just said before explains all there is to understand. The combination of eastern traits- deformed facial features and simplified body shapes and usage of sharp, clean lines- combined with a shading style that's not the usual straightforward cel-shading and is more common among artists not aiming for anime at all- but only utilized due to not having any other knowledge and settling for the only coloring / shading style he appears to be familiar with despite it clashing with what he's trying to present. To be even more specific it's about the abuse of airbrushes and blurs and absolute avoidance of sharp colors (and lines for that matter), being used in an amateurish fashion (i.e not as an artistic choice like again many artists do, but rather as an attempt to hide a lack of knowledge of lighting and the lack of an idea of what he's aiming for by making the values as vague and "flexible" as possible) that make his characters not resemble 2D characters in a 3D space, nor actual human beings, but rather strange wax figures or poorly made CG models.

You're being strangely stubborn about a very simple opinion. If you literally cannot even PERCEIVE why on Earth someone would ever dislike his art without regards to his personality then you're either an overly devoted fanboy or the person himself. If it's the former then I think you'll find you're doing even more damage to his reputation than so called "haters".

So it's mostly a matter of shading and the abuse of black and white tones rather than the actual drawing itself? That explains why I missed the point, then. I was ignoring the polish (what little there is) and looking for the west-east thing to be somewhere more basic.

Cool down, captain hyperbole. Obviously people can dislike his style for its own sake, regardless of what they think of him. But if you like one style and not the other, there must be a significant difference between them. For the record I'm also not a fan of his linework (he doesn't put thought into his lines' weight- it's just the same needlessly thick and somewhat wobbly curves every time) and his facial and body symmetry could use work to say the least (but that's pretty much the first bit of criticism people say, since a poor face is obviously the first thing anyone is going to notice). But yes, that was what I think of his coloring. I think people just don't talk about it at detail because nobody wants longposting on /d/ and we're not /ic/ anyway, but that doesn't mean they don't have a reason to dislike him, or any artist really. Just that this isn't the time or place to point it out in detail. Like I did anyway because I'm a faggot.

My mistake. I've asked the same question every time it's come up in previous threads, and never gotten an answer (until now). Guess my frustration got the better of me. Ignoring those other replies, any artist that seriously wants to improve just needs to do life drawing (quick gestures, longer studies, etc). The only drawback is you need to do a metric fuck ton of life drawings before improvements become apparent. However they'll make you a much better artist in the long run.

A lot of western artists get to a point we're they're decent at drawing, but then just keep drawing highly stylized works instead of continuing real practice. The result is they can pump out their stylized works faster, but they don't really improve.

That's a good summary of alloy. I'm curious (like legit, not doubting you) how practicing life drawing and presumably the realism that goes with that would make him better at stylized eastern faces and shading? It seems like that would just make the west-east hybrid problem worse.

Because before you can stylize something successfully, you need to be able to do the real thing successfully. There's a reason all of the world's greatest animators are also excellent draftsmen. If all you focus on is stylization/animation, you'll lack basic fundamentals like construction, perspective, and lighting.

It's not even hard to get a solid grasp of those 3 subjects, it just takes a long time. Once you do, drawing in an eastern style is easy because you just follow their proportions (how big the eyes are on the head, the width of their shoulders, etc).

It's kind of like programming. Once you understand the fundamentals, moving from language to language takes very little time.
