The problem that a lot of corruption content creators have is that they tend to make the corruption complete as soon as the transformation is complete (which is itself probably a symptom of how most content creators tend to present corruption as nigh instantaneous instead of as a process).

There's something to be said for struggling (and failing) to maintain your moral fiber after you've been turned into a monster. You get that in some vampire stories that aren't really corruption-themed, but there aren't a lot of corruption stories that really play with that.

One of the things that super bugs me about corruption is how it's always bent towards making the subject into a slut, but as far as VoN's stuff, I really think it was just part of the guys fetish.

Speaking as a woman, there's not a lot, no. Tons of porn is aimed at guys, since women usually prefer stories-plenty of theories on why that was-but there's the occasional 'stealing the waifu' story that I enjoy, but good corruption is few and far between. That's why I started on Witch Quest.

Thing is...it's not entirely wrong.
You can be a sexy villainess AND be slutty. You can use mind break and/or degeneration along with corruption.
It's kinda the nature of pornographic interpretations of the fetish in general: In your porn, you want sex. In corruption, you want good-girls-gone-bad.
The two aren't incompatible.
I have more of a problem with sticking a dick on someone and calling them "corrupted" because they want to stick it in things.
Corruption is the end goal, not the means. This particular fetish is actually very common in vanilla materials for this reason. It's even in mythology! The stories of Persephone and Izanami can be seen as corruption stories.

The main difference, to me, is a sort of focus and intent, which is why this fetish is so hard to represent without some kind of story, and even there you get a lot of stories that come very close to that line.

See, that's where the difficulty in expression of the fetish can be problematic.
To me, the end result of corruption is someone who is now complete out for herself. She just betrayed what she used to be, why would she necessarily be beholden to her new masters if they didn't give her something in return?
The basic difference for me is a character going from someone who acts "for others" to someone who acts "for themselves."
Pleasure is just the simplest expression of this. Victimizing others is, to me, just another facet along with moral degeneration, physical transformation, etc.
In fact, some of the better stuff I've seen doesn't have the corruptee actively harming anyone.
In fact that's part of why I like the particular CG set series I've been posting parts of. Of the six stories, roughly two of them don't actually involve any active victimization, just a "forbidden fruit" type offer.
A sort of "corruption by demonstration" thing. And they're some of my favorite types of stories.
Cuz forcing someone to be bad via mind control, rape, etc. just isn't as exciting as having them make the choice themselves, to slowly come around to the idea until they hit the point of no return.
Choosing "the darkness" of their own free will is a lot more satisfying than being forced into it, to me.

BASICALLY the slug one has yellow being slowly seduced by the slug sentai girl from the first story until she tries out the slug "attachments."
The milk girl one has milk girl from the first one capturing the new blue ranger and holding her captive until she's forced to escape wearing one of the uniforms, which "gets to her."
Then the combat one...all I really got was that the champion-ness was transferred to the new ranger.

Yeah, it seems to me the Yellow Brighters in both CGs have the best corruption plots, followed by the Blue Brighters. The Red Brighter scenes in both are a lot worse and leave a lot to be desired, so much so that I feel like I am probably missing a lot of the subtlety of especially the first Red Brighter scene with my "machine translation+polish" technique.

I should have some free time coming up at the end of the month/September, so if someone who has at least serviceable Japanese to help double check my work, I will post the three Allows CGs on exhentai/here.

I could just do it on my own, but I'd prefer it if someone who could actually speak the language could catch my humiliating misinterpretations before I put the effort into doing the lettering on each image.

I am the anon who asked. First: thanks for the discussion that ensued. But I feel the humiliation part was misunderstood. It's not a driver to the corruption. It's more what others have complained about ("corruption complete when transformation complete"). I was hoping for a victim's struggle against corruption, during which they will feel humiliated when they contemplate their former self and feel they are losing ground to the corruption.

Also, the fetish doesn't make sense to me if it's done "through magic or drugs". Then the victim's will can be argued to be suppressed or diminished, and where's the fun then.

As the writer pointed out, that situation requires a long, good story, and those are scarce.

From their starting point, it's usually pretty hard to get the innocent character to willingly go down the corruption path on their own.
The first push can be artificial - cue magic/drugs (in ← it's the suit).
It gives them a taste of the forbidden. They end up liking it a bit more than they expected.

Then you let them gently slide down the slope at their pace.

Magic is, again, a means to an end.
One of my favorite VN series, Yami no Koe, is LOADED with magic. But the magic doesn't control the "victims." It gives them or alters something.
For example, in Zero the character bring along this device that helps with seeing the supernatural (or something...). However, the "villain" corrupts it by instead changing it to show the user's hidden sexual desires.
It doesn't alter their minds, per se, but it brings out something latent within them that they were suppressing.
The character pictured, for example, is given the sensation/illusion of everyone looking at her while she's naked. So she goes from a meek, modest girl with black hair to...the picture. All without any overt magic that does anything other than amplify something already inside the character.
Cuz that's not how Sayoko rolls. She may trap people on her island and it's implied she kills any who "resist" her, but once you've been corrupted...you can leave whenever you want and do whatever you please.

I wouldn't say "without any overt magic." It really does start to seem at times like their appearances are magically changing to fit the corruption.
Take Miki here, for example. Going from Neutral to S&M Queen, you can see just how similar to the previous step each style appears. In fact, as I recall, the step 1 corruption event literally has her at neutral, sudden flash of light, and suddenly she looks like step 1.
It also becomes really clear that magic is involved when you see certain male characters become girls, or in at least one case, a girl growing a dick. But this is just me saying that there's that dark magic giving them the form that fits their desires.

Actually no, the "changes" aren't a flash of light. If you play the games, Sayoko just gives them the new outfit when they reach certain "landmarks," or they do it themselves.
You can even hear the sound of clothes shuffling when they're given the outfit before appearing on screen in their new "form."
There are only a few cases when magic is directly used, usually having to do with K's body hopping in Zero and 2.

It's also quite a good Corruption VN, by Lusterise.
It has actual gameplay and is actually kinda forgiving. If you suck at the game but still want to see the "true" ending, you just need to lose and then you can play through again and bypass the games.
Translating is...possible...but one thing that makes me willing to translate YnK but not other games is that EVERY line of dialogue is spoken. My kanji reading is terrible, but me tok gud.

The original clutters the page a lot too, and the vertical nature of Japanese text lends itself better to framing Yellow, but played straight with English text makes it look...cluttered beyond belief.

I'm gonna be frank. Please make a walkthrough for your game. It is too often too hard to guess what event you need to trigger to advance the story at a given time. I like the writing but your game design is lacking.

Also, if witch school is supposed to corrupt Star if you choose the wrong(or rather, right) things to do, then you should have the priestess' part in cleansing the town before you have Star's part in witch school (i.e. put the character switch upon entry to the school instead of entry to the headmaster's room). That way you won't have to backtrack as heavily if there's a later trigger for the choices made in the school.

Also, make it so that the priestess can't exit town in her standalone part. I could leave town, enter witch school, and re-enter town through triggering the headmaster door again. Things like these are bug-magnets.

it just gets boring when over half of the stuff is pretty similar, might be because of people generally basing stuff off the setting (the ships being corrupted into enemy ships), I mean it's nice, but there's tons of other settings out there with corruption potential and you end up wishing they'd do those instead of Fate/Touhou/Kancolle
also one thing I personally dislike about Kancolle corruption is that it almost always involves some NTR of the self insert, even if it's not much I don't know why they don't do the self insert corrupting the girls instead or just something different

Picture was commissioned and paid for in May 2014 (with the understanding it may take as long as a month to do). It was delivered in September 2015.

During that time, the artist routinely ignored emails for months at a time, lied about moving country (twice!), being flooded, and hurting his arm, all of which made it impossible to draw... while constantly updating his website and Hentai Foundry page with new content.

He also encouraged me to take out more commissions with him (paid for up front, naturally) while initially stalling on the commission (I had no idea then that he'd take as long as he did). That really made me realise he was a fishy character. If he had delivered the commission in a reasonable amount of time, and not treated me like an asshole and idiot, I had initially planned to commission a fuckload of different works from him. I'd have probably splurged a few grand on it.

I'm glad I ended up commissioning far more deserving artists to draw the other things I wanted.

SketchLanza is the main one. Brazilian dude, I think. Very cooperative and professional. Art always improving. I got fifteen different commissions from him while waiting for Witchking00 to deliver one. Everyone of them is better than what Witchking finally delivered and was cheaper than what he charged.
