Do ban requests go to the mod that gave them out? If they don't then the worst he could do is ban you for a short while because any just mod would life the ban. There's nothing in the actual rules against captions in and of themselves.

I don't know. All I know is that the moment that our resident mod pulled that mass 24 hr ban bullshit from the last thread, he went way beyond just crossing the line in my opinion.
Whatever gets this mod to stop abusing their authority especially when no rules were clearly broken. Either that or Caption Threads become a civil war between us and the mod until a replacement who's hopefully not crazy ousts the current mod or he gets his shit together.
