Most CYOAs are self explanatory. You are often given a pool of points which you spend on options. Some CYOAs have drawbacks which are negative effects but they grant you points. That's pretty much it.

You have 5 points. You spend them on the different options and specify what you want and are allowed to. For example, you can take new body and say "Succubus, futa, age 30". You then post what you have decided on. And you wait for someone to respond to your post.

If you want more points you have to respond to someones else post. You look at their options and respond to them accordingly. If they took immortality you can see on the CYOA that you are meant to to explain the condition or drawbacks of said immortality. You gain one point for just doing that flatly. You gain another point if you write how it all came to be. So you more or less write a short story. Doesn't have to longer than a paragraph but people tend to write one or two post for it.

So design question. Why does Sanctum Vagina have a point cost instead of being a zero point cost like Blood Moon? You have to pay one gold coin to gain access to it in the first place. Then after you spend an additional Mythical Point to unlock it you have successfully screwed yourself into not being able to do the CYOA. You need to purchase either Transform to make whatever you are fighting Futa or becoming futa yourself. But you could have already become a futa anyway with Divine Beauty. Or hell use Transform to become a woman. I guess you could try Maximus Sanctum and hope that giving cunnilingus counts as using your mouth as well.

But no matter what you have to spend points to unfuck yourself from the situation of having a vagina you spent points to get. I guess it could just be a tax though for playing the CYOA incorrectly. It's the only thing that makes sense. And if so that's alright. But otherwise from a balance perspective it just boggles my noggin.

Got a bit of a story idea from this, just requires a bit of altering. Let's say that there are rivals, they could be any class, you won't know unless you have some way to spy on them, or they tell you or you figure it out somehow. But being magic users themselves, they are immune to the effects of some spells, like Charm, Enslave, Alter World, Transform or Erase Memory, unless they are at zero mana, or in the case of the sorcerer, consent to having it cast on them.

Your alternate self was actually defeated in a sex magic battle, but before their fate was sealed, they manage to give you their power and some memory. If you choose Familar, then it will be the same Familar that your alternate self had, who will explain the circumstances of your defeat and what even a sex magic battle is.

3 months after getting your power, you will start to encounter your rivals, who will seek to beat you in sex magic battles, losing has various consequences, but it's mostly about adding to their power, the same goes for you if you beat them. Any charmed or enslaved magic caster defers their mana to your own, they will still be bound to the rules of their mana though, which means an upgraded ritualist will need to survive their dream to get mana to give you. Summons will treat you as their new Master directly, this can be a draw back. Transformation allows you to wear the defeated, which gives you mana directly from them, but means you are subject to all the same negatives they were, even if they weren't upgraded. The final possibility is a ritual that will absorb the defeated directly increasing your mana for a fraction of their own, as well as giving you the ability to gain one spell. This is the most desired end result of a sex magic battle, as it reduces rivals, while adding to your own power. However, it is also easy for someone to interrupt and requires purging your mana. Can you defeat all your rivals and become the ultimate sex magic user?

Im kinda blah about the new Rings. It seems that the "become a wizard" options was nerfed hard. (Probably because I pun-pun-ed). 23 points for only 12th level wizard casting? It got more expensive AND went down in power.

It seems everything also got more expensive across the table. The powers list average out at about 5 points per power, and the drawbacks average out to 1.8 per drawback. So... you need 3 drawbacks per power? Its a bit excessive.... and thats excluding the powers that come with a drawback for free.

Yeah, but for the point cost, and the limitations of the 20th CL Wizard casting (Mainly No Spellbook and No Component Pouch) you're not casting a lot of spells anyways. Even if we go with the assumptions that I used for my Pun-Pun shenanigans with Lactofork's Rings, where "the ring counts as my spellbook", "the ring has all spells I need" and "the ring grants Eschew Components", it took some finangling to Pun-Pun, because of components.

And to make matters even more moot... With 6th level spells, you can still Pun-Pun and have all the powers anyways. It just gets more complicated.

And while I understand that you find the drawbacks more fun, and the whole point of the CYOA, I just disagree with the opinion that its fun. The drawbacks I'd be okay with are so worthless and the powers so expensive, that its just not worth it in my eyes.

While Xandria is pretty cool, I think she would get in the way too often and I don't like doms. Zumi could have been interesting as a healer, but her spacing out isn't what we would need in a fight.
