Honestly this fetish has more variation in its appeal than any other I've seen.

For some its just a variation on TF fetish, others a less permanent or otherwise preferable "means" to TG. Siren by far comes the closest to actually understanding this fetish. Even if I doubt she has the fetish herself, to her credit she either did the research or paid close attention when (if my fan theory is correct) whoever got her the idea/mask explained the appeal. I'm somewhat of a sponge and read pretty much everything as long as it doesn't turn me off, either because it's scat/gore/... or awfully written (think the very first result when you search "skinsuit" on deviantart). Last think I finished was nakaris' stuff.
One thing that really does it for me is the description of the suit-up process, how everything feels and when the wearer looks into the mirror and realizes "wow, that's me"

Some authors worth mentioning, all of which can be found on Deviantart or Fictionmania unless mentioned otherwise:

Lissa - good work all around and happens to write in universes I like

Lheriss - not a phenomenal writer but not all that bad. I really dislike how he takes relatively normal names and spells them in an alternate fashion, but that's a personal pet peeve of mine.

buttbun & dieter - not really my cup of tea. Lots of FtM and other things that aren't MtF. Well written though, so if FtF and FtM are your thing, there's good stuff to be found there.

SuperHellKitten - FM and yahoo groups, there's well written work to be found. Primarily MtF and very British.

Protoka - stories that are usually on the shorter side. Can be pretty in depth.

Sammig82 - long episodes that have an overarching story. Not really fapfics but get extremely lewd.

Sligking - Deviantart and Yahoo. Hasn't put out anything in quite some time, but does a bit of MtF, FtF, superheroes, and a few other interesting concepts.

TheRaider - Yahoo and FM. Stories of variable lenth and graphic detail, although tends to lean more towards brief stuff. Apparently a huge Assassin's Creed fan.

Holly Fairfa - old writer from back in the Geocities days. Tons of vignettes with a couple of longer pieces.

MaskedScribe - I think he was mostly a yahoo groups writer. I don't remember him putting anything out on FM or anything like that. He got pretty descriptive, and liked MtF but had works with FtF.

zajnezdal - I have no idea if you can find any of his stuff not on Yahoo groups. As far as I know he's retired, but he's one of the big names from over a decade ago. MtF mostly if I recall.

The Grey Orchid - pretty much a ghost now. Went inactive a bit over a decade ago from yahoo. Some folks still have a bunch of his stuff. As an addendum, Jenna Joviani from Yahoo has written a continuation of one of Grey's works. Grey Orchid is arguably the best writer that the community has ever had.
