Then she starts baiting him, accusing him of giving a asking-out-letter to the boy because, in fact, he's a girl and he's into the boy. Been working on a story, currently at around 23,000 words.

Gist of it is as follows: Witches exist in the modern day, and are physically indistinguishable from normal human women. They can use crazy powerful abilities, but they can get overwhelmed by well-planned ambushes. The story follows a pair of witch hunters from a group trying to eradicate them. This all goes great until a curse transforms one of the hunters into a witch.

The hunter who remains human has to rescue his friend from their own organization, all the while trying to figure out where the curse came from and how to break it.

I'm going to try and play with some conventions. Question for you all: what do you guys think about a story that doesn't follow the perspective of the tg victim?

For a lot of people that defeats the point of a TG story. You're not really seeing the TG or the consequences of it like that. It could sort of work if the character the story follows very heavily interacts with the TGed character (whether they're trying to help them or they're the one who transformed them), so you get to see what's going on (if from a somewhat detached perspective), but that would be hard to pull off in an interesting way.

This works, though I think the better way to do it would be to just write a single story in the third person alternating between following each character, to minimise the amount of redundancy. Otherwise in the scenes where the characters interact with each other you'd have to describe too many of the same events with the same dialogue, despite accompanying them with the other characters' thoughts.

I would say that characters with opposite personalities are good to become pairings.

So I would recommend a goth/emo guy becoming a goth/emo girl, and a football player becoming a cheerleader, bonus if he becomes inclined to acting more like a cheerleader.

Cutesy stuff is good, sex is also good, but anything is fair, and we could find a middle ground of lewd and make out.

As regarding their preferences, I think that a more lighthearted take is good. More of a "hey, you like girls, I like girls, we are 10/10 cuties, let's go lesbian lmao!"

To clarify, the books follow in direct chronological order rather than overlap. The second book is set shortly after the transformation, capturing the victim's thoughts after the initial shock has worn away.
