Out of a bit of worry that someone may not understand, I feel the compulsion to share a bit about why this is a fetish (at least for me, and I'm sure some others, somewhere), why it turns me on and what about it is such a turn on.

It begins with a dynamic of power play. An outside force has made me or someone ill, and now there must be a struggle to fight it. Additionally, there is the power play between the caregiver and the person being cared for (if there is a caregiver in the scenario).

If I am the caregiver, I get to exert control over the sick. If I am the cared, I get to be submissive and have no power, even over my own body to an extent. Things like being told to get in a warm bed, being given or forced to take medicine, being delirious in a fever and relying upon the caregiver to watch. These things and more can add to a power (or lack of power) play.

Now, the individual elements are a turn on too.

I've always enjoyed the taste of my own and others' upper mouth after being snotted or drooling excessively. When blowing into a tissue, I like looking at it and playing with it. Sneezing makes me warm, and the feeling of something coming up my throat...it's just a great turn on. I love the burn and taste of vomit as well, even if in a pretty masochistic sense.

So all together, with the individual things, and the power play of caring for someone sick and nursing them (forcibly nursing is the most fun) or being sick and out of control...I can easily admit I've felt many a strong sexual urge while sick/caring for the sick.

And ultimately I can only hope I'm not alone.

I didn't really live back then, but for me certainly the dependency part plays on fetishized domination and submission to an extent.

I would be sad if a sick person I was caring for died though, and also do not want to die myself from illness. As much as I find the aspects attractive, I don't find dying attractive and would actually would insist on prioritizing recovery...but simply enjoying the ride to recovery.

I understand the frustration looking for this stuff, and appreciate anything anyone can give, classic medical fetish and caring for injuries as well.

Only issue with seeking caring for injuries images over fevers, is that yes it can become bloody or gory quickly. That gory stuff can be okay with me, but it doesn't really fit the theme of what I'm thinking here, or the rules of the board. Aside from that, medical play is always a great addition to my collection.

So ultimately I'll try to keep this alive and see what happens.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the common cold basically harmless, and the symptoms are just your body reacting to its presence? IIRC, some people are effectively immune to it because their bodies just ignore it.

The latter is more likely, and the theory is your body makes your feel bad so you have no choice to rest, which helps your body heal

I believe there is big money if someone could create pill or what not that would prevent your body from making you feel bad
