In the last thread, someone accused me of being clinical in my smut writing. I can't really deny that, I guess.

But even I think this particular passage is just a bit dry.

Things like using 'totally' twice in the same sentence, or 'seem' twice in the same paragraph... that's something you should avoid. But as it is, this describes the transformation in a very literal way. You tell us he's experiencing disgust and horniness, but it'd be more interesting to see it somehow.

You say his beard disappeared. Did it fall out? Did it go back into his body like a werewolf movie played in reverse? Did the hair leave his chin and come out his head like they were connected?

Maybe even something like a comment on how much softer his hand had become, and how much better jacking it felt. Or even "wow, my balls are totally hairless now. I never quite had the courage to shave them, and now here we are." Maybe he could even question why the woman he's turned into seems to have no terminal hair at all...

For me, I like to explore something and ask, "What does this really mean?" It's one thing to describe the process, and something else to explore what it means to you or to a character.

Good update, but while I know you're writing the main girl as yandere-ish her personality is becoming even more grating. This isn't love with these levels of dedication, it's like a sickness. Her entire being is dedicated towards him, her thoughts and her actions all revolve around him and visa versa (though not when he's in vegetable mode).
Give her a hobby or something that doesn't revolve around him, even the other characters introduced have to do with cecil, either their interactions in the past with him or their opinions of him in the present.
I feel that some non-romantic partner related development, while increasing story length would be very beneficial.

Everything about the setting is in that story. I made everything up as I went, with a bunch of video game and D&D references. I really had no intention of going back to it. I just figured if I was going back to fantasy, maybe I could fold it in.

As far as borrowing the setting... there's not much to borrow, and what is there isn't well thought out, like most things I write. If I were you, I would just make your own setting, borrowing whatever it is you like from mine and filling in the rest with whatever you fancy.

Just read this; it's well written, and there were few typos. The only thing I saw was on line 64, "I didn't meant", and there's also a bunch of irregular double-spacing strewn about, which is mildly odd, but not much else.

I'll say that I'm iffy with transformation stuff, and generally I don't seek it out. Your story did not arouse me - partially because of me needing a fairly specific scenario and description thereof that the story didn't happen to fulfil. It's cleanly written, and it's definitely not an un-enjoyable read, but I didn't get much from it.

Onto the little 'critique' I have; it is quite a passive story, in the sense that most things are depicted in small, surface-level chunks, often using the "It was X" "The Y was Z" "He X'd her Y" sort of format - something that's pretty common and mostly a minor issue. My advice - unless it's an intentional choice - would be to just restructure the sentence if you see a few in a row that start similarly. For example:
>The tendons in his arms tightened, forcing his fingers to curl. The overlapping steel plates along the backs of his gauntlets bent and rippled. The chainmail underneath glistened.
Might easily change to:

Just quick, minor stuff to mix up the flow of the writing, without actually affecting the content. Throw in more sensual, emotive language, a simile or two, and physical reactions deeper than blushing and you'll have me invested.

I also would've liked to have more build up, both in general, and specifically for the revelation that Roderick is turning into a female dragon, and lingered longer upon it afterwards.

All in all though, it's pretty decent, and you should definitely post some more stuff in the future if you ever get around to it.

Alright. Outside of the need for a good proofreading once you're in a more final state, the only real issue I can take is with the dialogue. First of all, don't quote internal monologues. It comes off stilted. More importantly, the conversation here is horribly unnatural. It's obvious that you're trying to explain the mechanics/background of the story, but nobody talks like that. What you have here is two characters expositioning at each other, not a real conversation. Guy asks a question, angel answers with a really long statement. Guy asks another question, angel answers with yet another long statement. Guy has a superfluous line to show that he's a "normal" dude who doesn't want to get sword-to-faced. I mean, there is technically development in this, but it's painful to read in this format. I know you well enough to say that this is going to be a fairly long story; you lose nothing by spreading out some of this exposition. You don't need to blow your load in the first two pages.

I think that a significantly more believable approach would be to ask him to do something smaller and more continuous and to have his responsibility grow as their relationship does. What you have here is essentially the same as asking a first date about his/her view of having children or employment history (with references).

The idea is neat and I think it'll be a fun story as it continues. I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes.

I guess it depends entirely on your definition of too long. That being said, I think that there are some things that you can do regardless. For one, I think that you can leave significant parts of that dialogue completely unsaid. Unless it's going to come up later, there is no real need for a real explanation as to how she became an angel. There is also no need at all for him to enter the conversation on the penance thing at all. Think about it this way: he was caught doing something he essentially wasn't supposed to do. How do you react in that situation? Do you ask unrelated questions and then make suggestions on discipline, or do you just shut up and try to minimize damage? Chances are, most people (and therefore your characters) are going to respond more-or-less the same way you do to situations like these.

If you're intent on keeping the exposition and just spreading it out, you're going to have to make it on the longer side. If her conversion is an important plot point, have it come up in a later event. There is no reason to have a character say something that you can instead show later. If it's important, it should be interesting.

I would honestly suggest that you should consider running longer than you originally intended. For one, I think that the idea is sweet and has potential as a mid-length story. More importantly, you are kinda terrible at short stories. I've enjoyed most of what I've read of yours (which is probably all of it, to be honest), but it's always come up short on the actual smut - literally; it's always too short. I think you're better off writing nice, longer stories that happen to be lewd, rather than trying to compress your natural style. There is always merit to learning how to be more versatile, but I think you're fighting nature on this one.

I'm going to go with both. The issue I've seen in your smut in the past isn't actually a lack of "invigoration". It's a lack of description. You're not bad at detail, you're just really sparse with it. I think you focus too much on the mechanics of sex and not enough on the more colorfully describable parts. As I end up saying at least once in every thread, nobody cares about the in-and-out bits. Sex isn't that sexy; otherwise we'd all just be watching dudes with onaholes. It's all of the side stuff that holds the appeal. Skin contact, movement, smells, sounds, and sweat are what make smut great. It's also what you usually leave out. That's a ridiculously tough question to answer. The best way I can think of to train that way is to try to write an entire sex scene without ever getting explicit. If you're doing it right, you should be able to flush out the entire thing with only oblique references to the action. This is probably not the best idea for a finished work, but it seems like a decent way to learn.

The other thing I suggest frequently is to watch porn and follow your eyes. When you're not acting consciously, your eyes are going to follow your interest. Later, try to figure out what it was that drew you there and describe it. The same result can be obtained just through fantasizing and then writing down where your mind wanders. From this, you can get a good idea of what specifically interests you and wherein the appeal lies. Then it's just a matter of showing that to the reader. Writing smut is basically just imagining something you find sexy and then finding a way of communicating that.

I honestly don't know. I came from pretty much the exact opposite direction when I was learning how to write. I don't think you need to "suppress" anything, though. It's not bad to dislike verbosity, but there is a big difference between what you're decrying and what I was trying to draw attention to. It's not about adjectives, but about the manner of description. Regardless of what you find attractive, it's your job to sell it to the reader. Think of it as explaining what you like through the story. If you are most interested in the back-and-forth mechanics, focus on that movement. Are they moving together, or is he holding her in place? A lot of people have a problem where they try too hard to write. It's what leads people who speak with perfectly well to use paragraph-length run-on sentences or create horrifically stilted phrasings. What you are doing may be related. It's easy to get caught up in telling a story and stop paying attention to the story itself. It may help to try to imagine the scene, then to describe what you saw. I know it helps for writing dialogue, so it may work here as well. Just be careful of making it read like a summary of events. It really helps to write in small chunks. If you envision too long of a scene, you're going to end up writing bullet points.

Research stockholm and lima syndrome in depth. Understand why random positive reinforcement is addictive to humans.

The thing I find most compelling about the topic is how the captive (and sometimes, the captor) changes over the course of the experience. Try to illustrate that in their thought process.
