depends. DNF is great when using it in a graphical session fucks your install. Pacman is meh, it requires memorizing various strings of letters instead of easy to recall words or blobs. Apt recieves a lot of hate, but no one seems to have any definitive answer to why, other than "its slow".

That newer expansion clinic game over on tfgamessite is pretty neat even if it isn't particularly sexy. Getting extra money for hitting the mark and even weight is a cool idea even though it's not super clear how much effect weight has on drug effectiveness and stuff in the first place.

I'd be all for a /d/ themed Theme Hospital. Maybe you could even choose different origins like shady underground laboratory, witchy business, or alien compound that have their own unique tech progression and staff to treat different illnesses/insecurities.

I'm not sure if it really goes here since, but I'll give it a shot:

Has anyone tried Majalis's new game? It's pretty barebones with only a few encounters so far as a proof of concept (they're going to be adding a full blown story, animations, and so on later supposedly), but the combat is surprisingly good. The fact that it has a shitton of stance options and different perks for each actually means you can't win by spamming a single attack like in CoC.

From my experiences so far, it seems like picking the Catamite perk is nearly a necessity. It's a LOT harder to get through some instances without it (since you can just offer your pooper up for some pounding to get food and avoid combat if you have the perk). I've noticed you can also easily kill a lot of enemies by doing the following:

>pick Catamite, Erotic, Taunt, and Knockdown in perks/abilities when you make a character
>Go into defensive stance
>Taunt until enemy is fully erect (this also distracts them and causes them to lose balance)
>use knockdown to trip them
>use Catamite to ride them
>repeatedly ride until they cum
>either continue to now fight exhausted/stunned enemy (they won't fight back for a bunch of turns) or repeat to stack the exhaust/stun

Only downside is in the full game, using this tactic will ruin your ass (loose ass stat means you have a harder time getting people off) and cause lust (character will crave the dick which can fuck up commands/etc).

Yeah, I figured that would be a deal breaker for a lot of people. It's a shame too, since I'm really impressed with the combat mechanics so far. You're always a trap, and it seems all the enemies in the demo so far are futas (so futa x trap, although you can fuck some of them if you win or so on). I also just noticed my above method can backfire too. Apparently if the enemy has enough stamina left (or an extra perk like the wolf girl having a knot), they can shove you to the ground and fuck you senseless. Just gotta make sure they're out of stamina I guess.

The combat is confusing until you figure out what the hell you're doing with it. Once you do figure it out, it's not too bad. In short:

>balance is reduced from using aggressive attacks or being hit by tripping attacks
>endurance/stamina is used to do attacks

>each stance has its own abilities
>abilities each have their own basic parameters (base damage, armor reduction, tripping amount, lust amount, etc)
>abilities also each have modifiers (some do more damage if you have more strength, lust attacks are more effective with high charisma, etc)
>each ability ends you in a specific stance (and you take advantage of this to win, such as using an aggressive move that lands you in the defensive position so you take less damage from the enemy's hit, etc)

It requires a shitton of planning to use effectively, unlike games like CoC. It's kind of like how Trap Quest has a ton of depth for its equipment/clothes, but most people just fuck around and get fucked by things instead of using it.

So I'm working on the character creation bit, and was hoping for some feedback.

First off, I -- hate, long intros/character creation scenes, so I will not be doing anything like that.

I plan to have just two screens, a cosmetic/ appearance, and then stats/skills. I was even thinking, of having the player level from 0 to 1, once the game starts and choose their stats then.

I also asked about avatars a while ago, and most of you guys thought that they were a waste of time, but I'm going to end up using them, I need something like them for dialogs and a couple other things. I'm going to make it so there is a "custom icons" folder, that players can put their own icons in. That and make them changeable in game. I think that fixes the "current problems" lewd games have with avatar systems.

Thoughts?

There's pressure to come up with alternate ones for certain scenes, and then it becomes a mess. Would it be possible to put small animations around whoever is talking, such as shout lines a tiny speech bubble? That way it's obvious who's talking without all the effort spent on still images.

I am enjoying this problematic concept that people will assume your sex by outward appearance instead of innate x-ray vision that all sentients naturally have. Makes traps a feasible thinger. I don't really like how you don't seem to interact with any of the enemies in Nimin. Like there's no difference if you're 13 feet tall or 13 inches or have a penis the size of a train. Xadera also made a little game based off The God's Labyrinth and it's pretty good. There are 6 colors that each represent a mythological creature and then 4-5 point sin the story where you pick which you'll transform into, but those 6 are randomly selected from 8-9 total so every game is a little different. There are a lot of different endings depending on which combination of parts you managed to pick up.

When the game started, there was a difficulty level to be selected. The difficulty level determines the difference between a good or bad ending when the end of the game is triggered. You would have been told the criteria for winning then.

Easy = get 33 of 64 villagers to fully trust you.
Medium = get 54 of 64 villagers to fully trust you.
Hard = get all of the 64 villagers to fully trust you.

It is important to keep an eye on the state of the other villagers (that is what "give me a hint" is all about, but it also tells you where the other villagers are). Once they trust you, obedience builds up. The end of the game is triggered when a second villager becomes "openly obedient" (when obedience is maxed out). The first villager is the mayor, and he starts off as being "openly obedient". When a villager "transitions" you are told about it at the end of the encounter. There are 64 villagers (including the mayor), meaning there are 63 horny rapists

The strategy is: to keep track of the villagers who now trust you, and avoid them as much as possible, while tracking down the villagers who haven't trusted you yet. This is a difficult thing to achieve when the NPCs that you want the PC to have sex with are in the same location as the NPCs that you don't want the PC to have sex with. The good news is that it is more effort to max out obedience than trust. If you are playing easy mode, then you just need to achieve slightly more than 50% trust, to win. Hard mode is 100% trust, which is impossible without finding the "hidden events" that keep some of the NPCs locked (they won't have sex with the PC till that happens).

When not in debug mode, you don't know where the villagers are on the "give me a hint" page until you know them (meaning that debug mode tells you where all of the villagers are). Also, "give me a hint" has a cool down period when not in debug mode (which is longer between easy, medium and hard).

Really, "hard mode" should be called "insane mode".

When the PC has sex with a single NPC, she is "getting to know and conditioning that NPC" faster than if she had sex with a bunch of NPCs (2person - 6person encounters). The more NPCs that the PC has sex with, the slower she breaks them in. Which is a problem when some of the unlock encounters are pure 2person scenes.

When a NPC has had sex with the PC, it will be a while before he will have the necessary "energy" to have sex with her again.

NPCs "prioritize" themselves when they queue up to "have fun" with the PC. This can work for and against you. A NPC will not have sex with the PC if they are sound asleep. If there is no one awake in the location, she will just "help herself" to a sleeping NPC. The trick is that a sleeping NPC only loses "energy" and does not buff their other stats. For XLEA, I will write up a semi-detailed walkthough of all 8 of the good endings. But it will take a little while. The bad ending is exceedingly easy to trigger.

One of the path selection criteria is triggered upon who you give preference to in the second sex scene. And yes, the sex is rather grindy, but there is also a trick to it, as the game remembers "combinations" of actions. So if you "spice it up" and change the actions rather than X1, followed by X2 all of the time, you can progress through the sex scenes faster.

The first time through I was so engrossed in the story of how or if Xyla was going to make it out of her imprisonment that I did a good job of trying to play along with the captors and there was no mistaking how to get them off. Knockdown rating is based on strength, so if you don't have goo strength/endurance, you won't get far. In the current public build, it's a tad tricky. However, the newer Patreon builds (and soon to be public builds) address this by making the knockdown attack a status attack (AKA it knocks down a lot better without relying on Strength). This in turn makes it a nice alternative for the Thief build or any build that doesn't stack stength.

Is not just the HQWA binary download, but a file that is labeled HQWA-maps.zip. That zip file is basically 3 directories that contains all of the maps for (Map1) easy mode, (Map2) medium mode, and (Map3) hard mode. They show the start and finishes, and where the "blockages" are. To unblock passageways, you need to find the "hot location" where the PC (or party) walks to, resulting in the "blockage" being removed.

One more thing. This applies to both HQWA and BMPS. The source code uploads for both games reveal this. The have debug/cheat flags. For HQWA this just turns on debug output about where you exactly are (so you can use the maps to workout where you are) as well as tell you about the stats of the monsters when combat starts. For BMPS this modifies "give me a hint" so it is always available and tells you a lot more than it normally does.

The CURSES program has a -D flag that can be specified at the command line. The web server version, you can change the URL path from <game>v<version>.cgi to <game>v<version>.cheat.cgi (HQWAv0.70.cheat.cgi). The program keeps the path intact and toggles the debug switch, showing you extra detail. One of those is the map identifier and position id so you know where you are.

Right now you only can play as female, down the line, you can play as male and dick things.

For sizes, I'm probably going to keep numbers under the hood and use qaulititative descriptions. At certain points, the players sprite will change. And have a flag for large dick, or small tits. The animation handler will check the pair first " female- snake lady", and then if an animation exist for the small tits flag, it will play that one first, if it doesn't, it will play the standard animation.

Need your help brainstorming, /d/. For a typical side-scrolling platformer with a female protag, how do I turn lactation, or more specifically needing to be milked regularly, into a game mechanic? I want the player to have to decide between avoiding enemies, and intentionally being caught by enemies to get milked, but I can't think of a decent penalty for being too full of milk.

I'm already having 'arousal' in there as a stat you need to manage in the same way; monsters grabbing you gets you fucked, but reduces your 'arousal' to 0 when/if you cum, and going too long without cumming at first reduces speed, attack power and jump height, and at full results in you crawling everywhere unable to attack or jump.

I was thinking of making it so the fuller your 'milk' bar, the faster your 'arousal' increases, but that's not much of a penalty itself, especially as getting caught often empties both bars and your 'arousal' can already get bumped up by aphrodisiac clouds and stuff. Oh, and breast expansion won't be a thing to cut down on sprites needed.

Any ideas?

Well, it's more a thing of "I don't know how I'd handle it" than "needs more drawings", even before you take sex anims into account. Either I need to have the character's boobs be a set of separate objects that always matches position with the character and the current set is deleted and replaced as boob sizes change, or I need to find a way of changing entire animation cycles that isn't "delete character actor and replace with another with different animation sets".

Clickteam 2.5 is clunky and I am not even good with it to begin with.
