If the gradient is simple enough, you can just use the gradient tool and play around with it till you get the angle right, though that can be a little challenging if you don't have a pretty good eye for the angle.
Sometimes in photoshop I'll use the clone stamp tool if there's a decent-sized sample to start with. After that, a little smudging/blurring around the edges will typically make it pretty unnoticeable, like the other anon said.
