Can say that it works. Been doing light exercises and taking saw palmetto since January.

For pretty much anyone who isn't tumblr, gender is just a synonym for sex, mainly used to prevent confusion with sex as a verb. The whole basis of someone being transgender is that there are sexually dimorphic portions of the brain, and rarely they will develop as those of the opposite sex, which in turn causes someone's self-image to be that of the opposite sex and feel incredibly uncomfortable about their bodies unless they do something about it. Gender, in this context, refers to their neurological sex and self-image even if it doesn't match up with the rest of their bodies.
What you're referring to is gender ROLES, basically the expected stereotypes for men and women- its perfectly fine for a guy to be girly or a woman to be masculine, but a girly guy is still a guy and a manly woman is still a woman, because not conforming to stereotypical gender roles =/= being transgender. Going by your "gender=social roles" definition, sexuality itself would be a social construct, which is obviously not the case.
That sort of misconception is what leads SJWs to calling themselves trans and screaming "Die cis scum" and generally making life even more of a living hell for actual trannies. /rant
