Generally not very. But also bra sizing isn't consistent by its very nature. Here's a bulleted list:

* Cup sizes are mostly meaningless without a band size. Cup is determined by the difference in band size and circumference around the bust. A 36A is technically the same amount of boob as a 28E, though the latter would be more noticeable

* Band size is inconsistently measured. Different regions and companies do it their own way. Sometimes it is just the measure of the underbust in inches, rounded to an even number. Sometimes its that +4 inches. In Japan and the EU they use the metric system and round to the nearest multiple of 5, but then France and some other places add +15cm.

* Cup sizes are not consistent beyond regions. US and UK are similar in smaller sizes, but start differing beyond DD, as UK will use alternating double letters and US will just carry on the alphabet. Metric cup sizes are more finely differentiated, so by the time you get to N cup in UK sizing, you're at Z in metric.
