OCs, kinda. Not in the donut steel sense, but just featuring characters that aren't from a pre-existing franchise (i.e. most size doujins and pictures in existence)

Having them be characters from anime/games detracts from the fap factor more often than it does not. The situation is what's important but using actual characters with actual setting rules places some unnecessary imaginative restrictions (and if you don't follow the source material whatsoever then they might as well be original characters by this point).

Seconding this a bit, but I don't watch that much anime at all, so I can't tell if a character is original or from somewhere else.

Basically though, for pictures, as long as it's drawn well, I don't care. Written stories are a bit harder though, like that Ace Attorney size interactive. Now that interactive is nicely written, but I don't know the characters in it because I never played the series, so the impact is lost somewhat.

I was adding to a shitty writing.com interactive story for awhile, because I don't have a paid account so I can't make one myself. It was about college shrinking, which you don't find as often on writing.com. Now I log on to find all of my chapters deleted. It's a good thing I backed up what I wrote.

And the author only added like 3 chapters. I added 25+. And they were decent chapters. Not great or anything, since I never really tried writing about this stuff before. But still it was better than this guy's stuff was.

Idk if I should link the story or anything. Really I'm just venting.
