If the point is to judge an artist, for better or for worse, observing stuff like situations and themes only goes so far. Everyone with an imagination and/or an erection can come up with something appealing for a wide crowd (moreso when the subject is fetish porn) but it's a lot more subjective and difficult to judge properly than raw artistic prowess. I think the main point stems from the fact that it is fetish art, as you brought up. Alongside these exercises, it's also good to do some longer 10 minute drawings, and much longer studies.

So, actually improving in art isn't complicated. It just takes a long fucking time.

Haha, of course I know, hence why I don't post any of my stuff here. Yet some people does and it might get some flak (or get ignored), but it doesn't bother me at all, I just find it funny finding from time to time some of my stuff here. But as I said before, despite of good or bad comments, I welcome all the feedback people gives me. That's one of the many ways one has as an artist to improve your own art. Afterall, sometimes one ends up so satisfied with the outcome of a picture that one tends to pass up a few details or mistakes.
