This whole story series was about a guy who lives in a world where a certain percentage of women just start growing huge at random times in their lives. Of course they are, who would be doing low-quality MMD work if they had any other content creation skills? Manzi blows everyone out of the water because he actually gives a shit about developing another creative ability. Thus he hones his skill in video creation, the only reason to use MMD over another form of media. There'd be no sense in settling for a lesser form of expression since he can already draw well. Everyone else can't animate even the simplest of walk cycles properly and makes videos once or twice before realizing that it would take effort to get better and falls right back into making hilariously bad collage-tier still images which lose out in every single respect to actual artwork. Even the ones that do get started in video making and show some potential promise soon fall into a rut of laziness and never produce work ever again because of a lack of any sort of ethic.

As a creator, I admit it's quite difficult. Getting things to look remotely good is quite difficult. Yet, some of the easier stuff I see people just completely ignore, like adding interpolation curves to the motions. Everything looks stilted and robotic as a result. I can't claim to be Manzi-tier or realistic, but I at least put effort into making it look acceptable. The main trick is to hide what you're bad at. You know why you never see me do much vore? Because it's a pain in the ass to make look good. But I'm still trying to improve while putting out content every now and then. I just wish there were more resources for learning.

This is something a lot of artists do and it's not the best solution. You should view inadequacies as a challenge, not something to hide. I realize that it may be embarrassing to release something made for practice, but it can be hard to motivate oneself to practice in a private manner.

As for animations and such, it's very difficult to animate in MMD, extremely time consuming to animate "realistically" and often times you will see that you have robotic animations still and you can never get it fucking perfect, it would probably take like a whole year of practicing constantly to make anything good looking
Most are here to make their own content, MMD has a shitton of models and it's quite perfect to make stuff to get your rocks off if you like the whole scale of things and can't draw worth a damn.
