cigarettes make you cough. cigars taste great and smell great. snus and other smokeless tobacco is nice because you dont smell like an ashtray using it.

I always felt like those were too rich for my blood/a little pretentious for my working class ass. Not as much as smoking a pipe, but then again, cigars are quite readily available around here, so maybe one day

Seriously, why do people think this kind of thing will get people to stop smoking? If anything, if I weren't so worried about lung cancer, those ads'd make me wanna smoke so bad.

a) big tobacco is forced to pay into those anti-smoking campaigns due to a 1998 legal compromise
b) smoking rates are down, so they're convinced it's working

I've just come to the point where they go in one ear and out the other now. They're redundant in an age where literally everyone knows the dangers of smoking and people's interest in starting is at an all-time low.

Pipes are pretty rural, just less common here. The problem for me is pipe tobacco is too sweet. Have you ever smoke a Black and Mild? That's pipe tobacco.
