I am going to admit something, here and now. The idea of Ultimatium is interesting. I mean, the whole status quo being destroyed would be an interesting idea in any long running continuity.

But doing what Loeb did which is killing everyone and everything was just shit. I mean, I get his kid died and all, but why in god's name did anyone in editorial think for a second that this was a good idea.

Christ almighty, this stuff needs to stop. I get that some writers have a habit of consistantly producing good work, but the job of editorial is to control quality. Why can't they do that and so that they can stop someone from doing this stuff and tanking a series or an entire brand?

Has Loeb written anything good since his son passed away? He wrote that godawful Red Hulk run, he made Sam Alexander (which is like his son's insert), and worst of all, Ultimates 3 and Ultimatum.

The first comics I bought for myself were from the Ultimate Universe, so Ultimatum holds a lot of significance to me.
I both hate and love it.

The entire universe getting destroyed and some parts shifted into 616? Yeah, nah, that can get fucked completely.
