This will probably make me sound heartless, but I remember 9/11 happened while those Bionicles where out at Mcdonalds. (note, I am no from new york) Me being an only child and collector at even that age (was in junior high) had to, of course get them all. I think 9/11 happened in the week of a new wave release. So I was planning to go there after school, and of course I was at one of those schools where we weren't told jack shit but knew something bad had happened. Anyway I get home my parents tell me about what happened, I see the footage. and I think "Man this all sucks, you know what would be great though? getting that Bionocle I wanted, So we went and I got it (I think it was the brown one) Even when bad things happen, Bionocles remain fucking awesome.

It's not heartless. We were kids, you can't expect more from children. I was in 5th grade, and at the time, my dad was having major back surgery, I remember he kept being transferred from hospital to hospital for treatment and care, and that always took us to new McDonald's locations. I managed to get all of them I think. Still have the massive jar full of the assorted pieces. Honestly, with the happy meal bionicles, and my dad's surgery, 9/11 just wasn't a big deal for me.

The Rocket Power figures with magnetic boards/bikes. I always pretended they were doing some SSX Tricky shit.

I really liked the McDonald's Changeables, I even imagine that there would be reboot promotion for it all summer (from May to August), where each month has new figures (that can change from McDonald's food to Full Standing Robots) and each month also selling DVDs that show the adventures of the Changeables fighting to stop the lizard people known as the Munchoids from causing the human race to starve to death
>>32273
I'm a sucker for Hot Wheels so I always had to get everything
still have it all
>>32273
The Power Rangers movie had some cool figures from McDonalds.
>>32273
Loved the Beast Wars figures growing up. The panther was the best of all of them, though, since you could actually pose him.
>>32273
Man, I remember those. Had like, four of them.
i got all four of these in a box in the basement somewhere. no idea what year.
