Literally Me was one of the better memes I've seen in a while. It was fun seeing it spiral out of a completely different meme and grow into its own
I mean, not really, honestly. A few "heh" worthy jokes if you're in on the culture and understand what it's like to be a big fan of this stuff, but most of the stuff pushed as "memes" are kinda, for lack of a better term, autistic.
Like gordon saying "why don't you just rape the joker, batman?"
Him saying "kill the joker" is kind of funny because it's simultaneously humorously out of character and points out a confusing part of the Batman comics where despite repeatedly escaping the best confinements possible, Joker is never put to death or lawfully killed despite the death penalty existing in the DC universe.
"Why doesn't he just rape the joker?" Is only funny on the angle that it's out of character for Commissioner Gordon, and absurd. It's "Random."

If you count Lasagnacat as a "meme" Lasagnacat is a pretty high quality meme

We like arguing that we're /tumblr/ a lot.

You missed the point of the meme entirely.

Really? I mean, all I see when it comes up are people spamming images of Gordon in weird poses demanding Batman finally rape the joker.
I don't see what layers there are to be had here, mate. It just comes off as a shallow "saying the word rape is hilarious" joke on the level of PDP.
Before you go off I'm not saying jokes involving rape can't be funny, just that I don't think this one has anything to it.

Most of /co/'s meta content can be roughly divided into two camps. Waifu fetishism and inscrutable newspaper comics.

It's okay to admit it if you don't "get" something, anon...

We are surprisingly unfunny despite reading funny books and funny motion pictures.
