Or /coc/ thread if that's what you look for in the catalog.
I guess /co/nrad and Be/ck/'s son is a board-tan today.
Wiki:

Last weekend's thread:
https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/91019763/
Last time:
-Memes in the /co/verse internet
-Rage Racer origin script begins
-BreastQuest revives
-Clips and The Stylists VS Chapman's Highbrow Haircuts and The Clean Cuts (Split End VS the barber shop boys)
-New pics and characters
-Other stuff I didn't mention
And since we are now /cock/ (Comics & Cartoons & Cooking) creations, I suppose we need to talk about our food themed characters.
Like Pied Piper.
>Once, Erica Smith was just an aspiring flute player, working at a bakery when suddenly an oven exploded! The cookie of her life crumbled, and from that moment on she was only The Pied Piper!
Or Chili-Con Carnie.
Hey guys! I come bringing a revision of the Rage Racer comic script with 3 more pages! this new script contains:
30% more attempts at humor
40% more filler
90% more pretentiousness
100% more main character suffering
https://pastebin.com/AsVEWh1n
Of course critiques are welcome and encouraged.
Or maybe we'll talk about the Murder Burger again.
>>25999
Chile Con-Carnie is the arch enemy of a character /co/ would rather forget.
But today we are reminded.
http://the-conservatory.wikia.com/wiki/Chili-Con_Carnie
And the Murder Burger
http://the-conservatory.wikia.com/wiki/Murder_Burger
"What if the lantern corps. were competing fast food chains?"
>>26121
couldn't we easily switch con carne as a pied piper villain, though?
>>26265
Pied Piper is also a villain. She'll lure the food down the wrong tube.
It's not like any given enemy is tied exclusively to any given hero either.
Villains fight heroes all the time, villains don't care about which hero they're "assigned" to.
>>26931
>Chile con Carne and Pied Piper join forces to create the biggest chili pot pie.
>>27138
Of evil.
And it's up to Kid Cookie to stop them.
>>27428
> Cookie doesn't realize this is a real super battle
>thinks he's just hanging out with other food based supers and is using his cookie pies to "add some sweet" to the pie
>>25695
/co/?,where?
>>25695glad to see my dumb design is still relevant
>>28213
I'd say today is the most relevant it's ever been.
Since this is a time to celebrate, let's come up with some /coc/ recipes
>Rage Racer's Cataclysmic Chili
>dice up meat and cook in until browned
>add three diced jalapenos and cook until soft
>no, keep the seeds and veins you pansy
>Add either of the following: tomato sauce, tomato paste & water
>add cayenne to taste
>ok more than that
>More!
>MORE FUCKING PEPPER DUST YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!
>let simmer for several hours
>we recommend while waiting you think about how you got yourself into this mess. the life choices made, the risks you didn't take , how much you hate your elder like FUCK YOU DAD I COULD'VE MADE MY DREAMS COME TRUE IF YOU WOULD FUCKING LET ME TRY!
>once finished, let rest for 5 mins before serving
>recommended garnish: diced raw onions, Raw jalapeno slices, tears from your previous regret sesh.
>enjoy the pure fire you will shit an hour from now

Lord Hater as Donald Trump
Commander Peepers as Steve Bannon

/ck/ here, that's our kid? He's a little cutie.
>>29295
>>29443
retarded kid
>>29915
He'll get smarter when he's older.
>>25695
The only three bored i got to are fucked today, kinda sucks, /pol/ /ck/ but at least they didnt fuck with my /diy/
The merger has brought increased gravity.
>>31174
Or does it bring more gravy.
Because a massive steel ladle for a weapon/big cooking utensil comes to mind.
>>25979
/cock/, /fitlit/, /mlpol/, /can/, /mo/, and /fap/.
Those are the new kids. It remains to be seen whether or not they are cute and precocious (if illegitimate) children, or freakish mutations like something out of The Fly.
Or both! Monsters can be cute too.
>>31552
>Hal Jordan intentionally takes his time since he knows he is single handedly keeping the joint open with his addiction to boigahs
>>31566
All of them might not even be kids.
Sure, /cock/ came pre-made, and there's any number of politically incorrect pastel miniature equines out there, but /can/ is probably a cute puppy or kitten or some other animal that looks cure.
/mo/ is probably a transformer.
/fap/ I imagine is just /fa/ being photographed nude by /p/ since no one will tell him The Emperor Has No Clothes.
>>31566
You asking concept art for the april fools board children?
Shouldn't /cock/-tan be a fusion between /co/nrad and be/ck/y? Has anyone played with that concept?
Also has /co/nrad ever let Cookie meet his batshit aunt?
>>31817
I'm having a real hard time thinking of a name for her
>>32227
well we do have cookie for /cock/ already (OP pic related) , the others we got nothing on.
>>32151
Do/cock/, the Superior Spider-tan
>>31817
Nah, I'd rather let the kid have a day to be relevant.
Ans yes, she's not allowed to see him.

>Ah, Cookie! So good to see you
>*Do/cock/ shoots a web at Cookies cheek, making her able to simulate cheek pinching from any part of her asylu- i mean apartment.
>Why don't you have some of my famous wheatcackes!
>...Auntie that's just a bowl of cheerios with hot-sauce and uncooked hotdogs
>>30034
Has there been any discussion on Colby J? She seems neat.
Any story ideas of /cock/ ?
Maybe Be/ck/y visiting /Co/nrad after a long time?
Oh, here's an idea.
Kid Cookie is /cock/-tan for a day, what does this mean?
It means he's running both his mother's restaurant and taking on whatever detective work his dad had a case open for.
Are his parents missing? Is that the mystery? Or are they just pranking him?
Currently it takes less than an hour for a thread to fall off the board.
Think of a /coc/ character.iPhone or Android?
>>37284I don't think they'd build android versions of themselves until the 60s.
>>37391
Makes me think of data discs or something circular in places.
>>37284
I see the /coc/-verse being really anachronistic. Like mobile phones are from the early 00s, computers from the 80s, jury's out on 60s TV sets.
>>38641
I see it more as a matter of setting tone preference.
>>33892
Think we'll get any new pics? He's only got about 30 by my count.
>>39888
Any ideas for cookie pics?
Did someone say /cock/?!
>>40199
-Helping his mom in the family restaurant.
-Reading comics with his dad.
-Meeting super heroes when his dad takes him to work with him.
-Playing superhero with other kids.
-Judging a cooking contest as a special guest judge.
-Cooking for a cooking contest.
-Setting up Home Alone traps to catch Tatyana.
-Meeting Alpha, the boy robot for the first time (I just like the idea of him having a robot friend who looks human who can get him out of any really deep trouble he gets into).
I can think of a bunch more.
>>35656
Well is there anything worth discussing about Colby? any untreaded territory?
quickie
>>41160
This make me want to see him unpacking the boxes in the back of be/ck/y's restaurant and finding Boxy Brown
>>41160
>old Meatwad
Just wait until he finds the whole cast of Chowder in the bottom drawer of the fridge.
>>41581
fucking nice
>>40514
I really wish i wasn't so shit on krita.
These are really good prompts
>>25695
Whenever I read the Conservatory, it makes me sad that no-one ever made an Anime or cartoon series about 4chan House and the Board-Tans.
>>37098
this is the only ship in all of everything I care about...
>>45121
-Kid Cookie builds a food golem (origin of Cheesecake?)
-Kid Cookie meets the monster kids who Deelette is friends with (SFW, really, that requires a lot of additional info)
-His dad takes him to the movies, it's a super hero movie, Kid Cookie's child like wonder prevents his father from over analyzing it and makes him relax
-Kid Cookie and his mother bond over grilling (think King of the Hill)
-Kid Cookie needs a haircut and must pacify the competing barber shops with baked goods
>>45121
Fuck it I had to post something!
Cookie had a busy day today, running a whole board by himself! Now it's time for him to go to sleep
>>50066
God dammit
>>50066
>>50220
Holy shit I'm so sorry
>>50685
I'm trying to get this upright, I swear. It's upright on my desktop I swear!
>>51142
How does the even happen?
>>51355
I just wanted to post something cute to celebrate the comfy thread! WHY MUST EVERY THING I DO BE A HUGE FUCK UP!
>>51471
It's all good. Don't beat yourself up. By tomorrow all this will be naught but memories. Enjoy it while it lasts.
>>51551
Do you think the thread will get copied to /co/ or just get deleted if it out lasts April Fools?
We could do with a "What's the history of April Fool's Day" thing like this if anyone knows the references.
>>52287
Probably vanish. But if that pic is saved, someone might recognize it.
>>52416
I'll never forget, that's for sure.
>>52416
That pic is old.
I just don't know how well known the references are.
one more bump since I'm up.
Well, I don't think the thread is going to survive the night at this rate.
Posting is too slow and the board is too fast.
I don't even know if the board will exist come the daylight hours.
I will give this thread the best odds I can for it to persist through the night, but I don't have high hopes this time.
>>60144
That's what I was about to do.
>>60218
Kinda surprised there was no word on BQ progress.
Also if this thread is just deleted anyway what's the plan?
>>60549
yeah...THAT anon.... what a fuck up that guy wasI still don't know how I fucked up that royally
>>60599
I've done that.
It happens, it's cool.
>>60635
yeah, I know. I guess the old saying is true "you'll never forget your first"
>>60692
CUTE!
>>38641
Having information technology be limited is always better for superhero stories, I think.
I mean, how can any superhero keep a secret identity in the modern world were everyone has a facial recognition machine in their pocket and are more than happy to snap pictures?
Plus there's just the aesthetic benefits that doing that has, in my opinion. How can you be a comic book mad scientist and not have a 50s computer with spinning tape reels?
>>61229
There's actually plenty you can do to mess with facial recognition software, if you go even a little cyberpunk.
>>61452
There's even simple cloth that screws up flash photography.
>>61229
The thing is that a lot of modern cryptography is still very low-tech. Most encrypted messages are sent as plaintext that's decrypted back into readable plaintext at the other end, and there's nothing new about ssh. And handling these technologies requires barely any computing at all (Stallman's computer is a 10 year old netbook). Add in things like >>61465 and >>61452 and there's no reason that it can't exist in the modern world.
>>60308
>BQ progress
Check
https://sidneyanders.tumblr.com/
Now that /co/ and /ck/ are both back and the April Fool's merger boards are all hidden boards, the board's speed has dropped way down.
The thread might be up until the board gets removed.
Since this thread doesn't look like it's leaving today I guess I'll post this.
This is some costume art I came up with during the last discussion of Blackout. classic one piece and the suggested "Luke Cage" look. I also added a gradient to show the costume glow where applicable as well a what I think his light absorption might look like.
>>25964
Line 155
>since she off going somewhere else.

??
It's improved a lot since the first version.
>>61894
Great to hear!
Did you read the intro as well? I forgot to mention I edited that a good bit.
I'm kinda debating if I should edit out mentioning the coworkers. My Idea was to have them talk about his subway meltdown spreading on "market brand social media website" but I'm not so sure anymore.
>>61984
I did, it flows better now.
I think that's fine as is with the co-workers, them mentioning him in the subway would only justify why he was late to work and remove one source of anger from the equation.
>>61802
Light absorption is tricky. I think the best visual way to represent it is with visual distortion around the character since light is being pulled in.
Like a very small, very localized mirage.
>>61995
I guess my idea was that someone at the subway was a friend of a friend of a friend of a cousin of one of his coworkers. This would make his local virality a little delayed, showing up around when RR himself arrives, beyond the time for BB to change his mind, aside from BB's obvious anti RR bias.
Also can you give a picture of a particular mirage that's about what you imagine the absorption looking like?
>>62018
I don't have a picture.
Just think what shimmering water looks like, only darker.
>>62032
Like this?
>>62039
Kind of.
Have you ever seen those reflective mirages before on a hot day when it looks like there's water on the road?
>>29443
This is so cute!!
>>62058
Ok you kind of confused me with shimmering water. Like this, then?
>>62070
Yeah, like that.
There's a certain effect I'm trying to think of that's hard to describe, but I've seen it used before in movies and cartoons where it looks like someone is covered in a layer of light that's creating a distortion effect.
Like if you look at an out stretched arm, you see the arm, but everything around it is all bent.
When you say light absorbing, that's what comes to mind for me anyway.
Not sure if any of this is actually helpful to you though.
>>62101
you have any particular cartoon you remember seeing it?
>>62109
I just remember the effect and that I've seen it in cartoons before, not which ones in particular.
Think of a guy made of living glass and how the light looks when it goes through him and that's sort of similar, but since we're talking light absorption, the core of him would be dark and the outline would be reflective.
>>62113
Hmmm. I might have an idea of what you're saying. I'll see if i can squeeze some time to make a quick doodle.
>>62131
I doubt there's much of a rush.
Not unless the board gets deleted tonight.
>>62062
I don't know if all of the pics of him live up to that standard.
>>62265
Is this anywhere close? also is there a time frame of when these movies you saw were from? maybe I can find this elusive effect that way. Animated films I assume?
>>62383
That's kind of like it, yeah.
Sorry I can't be more exact with this, it's just something I remember seeing, but don't really remember much of the details about it.
Like when you hole your finger up close to one eye and look at a computer monitor, the edges of your finger look like the light from the monitor is bending around it, like pushing down on a piece of firm, but still flexible plastic.
>>62414
Not gonna lie, these descriptions are getting more vague as we go on but i think I follow. So like with mirages but with more fuzz on the edges?
>>62495
The more you press me for details, the more they seem to slip through my fingers.
>>62524
Ah well maybe a change in topic is necessary before both our brains melt.
What do you think RR's job would be. I was lean towards auditor.
>>62629
Any mindless soul sucking bureaucratic job would do.
How significant is his actual job to the plot?
>>62636
Probably none at all, for the most part. I think it's only for a small gag where he constantly hits a single part of his desk only to end with punching a hole in it as well as him actually throwing some things to show his anger rising.
So really any job that could theoretically be done in a cubicle. Auditor only stood out since I not only have friends to reference for horror stories but it doesn't seem to be brought up as much as tech support or code monkeys. Maybe I could have a small arc where he slowly shifts from dual life to full time heroics.
>>62649
Doesn't he hate being a hero since his powers run the risk of killing him?
What kind of compensation does he get for being a member of the FJCs?
There's gotta be some perks.
>>62651
Well I just sort of assumed that this would be something to be brought up later. I would think at least his angry antics would be fun (as fun as angrily saving the day can be.) before he starts noticing negative effects.
As for benefits, I feel there would be tiers so he would start with bare minimums like comfortable income and build his way up (Maybe having this be tied with out of town Heroics giving incentive for crossover comics)
>>62664
Right, you have a point there, that's all stuff that comes up later.
The early stuff is angry antics and establishing how he fights villains.
