How many times has Marvel and DC crossed over and how come it probably won't happen again?
Like four or five times? I think Spider-Man and Superman was the first, there was a whole spate of them in the 90s. Amalgam comics was the biggest, Busiek and Perez's JLA/Avengers was probably the best.
Currently? Bad blood between upper management, mainly on Quesada's part from what I've heard. Disney and Warner Bros. aren't likely to sign off on one any time soon either.
Would have been dope to see Teen Titans and X-Men evolution team up on kids WB
This. Some great stuff was made but Quesada was the one that drove up the rivalry and allowed Marvel to take shots at DC from time to time. The most infamous was when he told retailers that he would give free Deadpool variant comics for the covers of Blackest Night comics. That meant you'd have to rip the covers off.
>What the fuck is DC anyway? They'd be better off calling it AOL Comics. At least people know what AOL is. I mean, they have Batman and Superman, and they don't know what to do with them. That's like being a porn star with the biggest dick and you can't get it up. What the fuck?
God damn it!
I thought this was gonna be a thread about Ultraman comics or something and not Big Two BULLSHIT!
Eventually it will happen. In like 10 years the comics will cross over and in 20 the movies will. At some point the movies will use up all the basic stories and go into multiverse stuff and when that becomes old hat all they'll have left is crossing over the big 2. Star Wars/Marvel crossover will probably come first after the sequel trilogy ends.
OPs pic is a monster from Ultraman.
