yeah it kinda feels like they realized the only way to resolve Emperor Superman was to kill him, but it had to be someone from outside the book's normal cast to do it, and the Suicide Squad was simply the easiest choice to use

I can't really imagine it going well for the Squad in the next issue though, if mostly because of how many heavy hitters are at the tower and Waller appears to have only sent Deadshot, Harley, and Killer Croc on this mission

Never read this before, can someone explain it to me? Why does China have their own versions of the Justice League with Chinese versions of the heroes? Why is there a good Chinese Super-Man and an evil Super-Man who's also emperor?

It still works. Even if a member spilled the entire beans about Task Force X, it's still coming out of the mouth of a wanted criminal with zero proof. Even if they can be linked to the US government it still gives the US plausible deniability in the public arena.

So going by trade numbers the most likely last issue if this is on the chopping block for cancellation will be 18 and then 24. Issue 15 starts a new Suicide Squad crossover arc. Is it likely this comic will end with a Suicide Squad crossover? I would hate that. But this making it to 24 issues is also a high hope.
