Are the comics as good as the game?

Sort of. There's a really accurate reading guide that someone made a few weeks ago, but I forgot to save it.
The first four volumes are the closest to the game.

Give it a shot. There's a point where you'll want to stop and just be aware that it's normal. I made it to #50 but most drop around #75.

This is a good list. However, I don't think it really conveys just how bad the late volumes were, to the point where they retroactively affect your enjoyment of the earlier volumes

This, the first 9 hardcovers cover the war against the Adversary. Kind of goes downhill after that since the story loses focus.

Is Jack of Fables any good? Just started on the first collected edition.
