That was more or less my first thought when I saw this thread. I feel like there's been a lot of shows and other things rebooted/continued in recent years that didn't do the originals justice. That being said, King of the Hill is one of my favorite shows of all time.

I do wish the bevis and butthead revival worked out but fucking mtv audience is no longer made for that show. It would do well if they viacom just moved it to comedy central

I've always been interested in a timeskip series where Bobby is grown with his own family, because they really did all they could with the original premise.

That said I'm not holding my breath for this to be any good

The future of western cartoons is anti-Trump. Stephen Colbert and Showtime are making their own anti-Trump cartoon. The Simpsons are making anti-Trump minisodes. Hank is the perfect example of Trump's support base so this is bizarre.

Hank wouldn't support Hillary out of principle for being a democrat, and he also wouldn't think women could handle the presidency. This would turn into an argument with Peggy where she goes on some hare-brained scheme to prove that women can handle leadership.

In the end, she'd prove to Hank that women can be leaders too, but Hank would end up secretly writing in a vote for Jeb Bush anyway.

If they just did one or two movies I don't think that would be a huge issue or even a mini series. So long as they don't try to make it an ongoing again. That never really ends up working well usually.

Koth had an ending and a really good one that tied up everything especially in its subtleness about Bobby and hank finally having some they both fond over and care about

Terrible idea right there, KotH in it's prime excelled at covering big plots in the standard 23-ish minutes with the exception of a couple of two-parters which went pretty much as big as you should expect from a KotH story. Stretching it out any further, especially with how mediocre seasons 8+ were, would be disastrous.

Samurai Jack season five would've turned out better if there were more than ten episodes and the pacing was slower. Ten episodes was simply not enough to tell the story that they really wanted to tell.

They could, but it would be easier for them to just say "Luanne and celeb voiced Lucky moved away" than bring them back into the mix at the risk of bad publicity and rubbing the old cast the wrong way.

Season 8 and onward saw a lot of flanderization for the cast as a whole with the only new developments coming completely out of left field and often never addressed again (Khan having manic depression, Hank's mother being loopy, Dale becoming a super patriot, etc) but Luanne got beat down by it hard. I can't even think of a Family Guy character that got it worse than her... maybe Meg? But there was never much to her before and she's had her rare moments, Luanne just became a prop for Lucky when she wasn't a retarded plot enabler.
