Okey I have two great Ides for adult animated Oscar bait,. If you steal them that is fine
One:A animated drama about a kid force to live his life in a North Korean concentration camp.
2:A dark more adult Bambi like film about Animal Abuse(I'm thinking either a film about a Lion going from a illegal Zoo and the effect it has on the lion physiologically or a film about the 2 Mosul zoo animals serving there isis controlled zoo)

Just adapt a Daniel Clowes novel and call it a day

The way that was set up, I was expecting them to be obviously and irrefutably terrible ideas, but actually with the right execution I would watch both of those movies. I think the plot about the lion is already an arc in some versions of Kimba the White Lion which turned out pretty well.
That's not how animated Oscar awards win
Look at how voters have said they voted
Half of the abstain, the others only watch one or two movies and just go with whatever their kids liked.
What if you made shot-for-shot, scene-for-scene remakes of previous Best Picture winners, but animated the scenes instead of physically filming them?

And then inserted Tom and Jerry in the background?

Maybe if you want the movie to actually be seen by audiences.
But I'm talking straight 1:1 remakes of Oscar-winning films, only animated in 2D or 3D.

Is it possible to hack the Oscar ballots?
Zootopia won because racism.
Coco will win because Mexicans
