Which got me thinking, remember how one of the earlier episodes (S1 maybe) Ludo mentioned how he considered Star a friend? And Star said 'we were never friends'. Maybe it was Storm the Castle?

Anyway, what if that wasn't simply a throwaway joke and Ludo is an actual time traveler? It's certainly looknig like they are trying to paint him as 'not so bad' with the recent episodes; and actually in the future he's fulfilling a role kinda similar to buff frog.

You don't understand. I was following Star vs. info from that comic con leak of the person who recorded the OP song reveal. I was hooked from day 0. I followed every piece of information. The way Nefcy described the show seemed exactly like my aesthetic especially considering it was magical girl based. My butt was in my seat ready for episode 1 on premiere day and I was just so disappointed that what looked like something that would be fun and unique was just another lolsorandom generic story with some bitch horse head.

Now we did eventually get that show but the first episode is the worst intro to that show and it doesn't get much better until a few episodes in. Why do you think we always tell people "stick with it until Mewberty"

Back then there were other cartoons around like we were still in season 2A of Gravity Falls which hadn't gone down the drain yet, I discovered Bojack Horseman around that time and I still thought Adventure Time was "alright".
