I haven't watched a single episode, but I thought this show would be huge on /co/, if only for Rapunzel alone. What happened? I didn't think it was aimed at babies, but I swear The Lion Guard gets more active threads than this.

Interesting thing about this episode is bring in a scrapped character from original tangled movie when Glen Keane was directing. They brought back Xavier the blacksmith who was scrapped character from original concept story from rapunzel. He was Bastion's trustee.

So considering this takes place right on the cusp of the industrial revolution, Eugene (and everyone, basically) should be wearing hats more often.

It uses the same animation technique as 'Penn Zero", but 'seems' to have better lore, story, and plot, but then Disney let it FUCKING LINGER for months with nothing new.

IE, this seems to have HUGE POTENTIOAL, and access to a fantastic (wasted until now) 'Look", but the Mouse is FUCKING IT HARD.

Punzie's irrepressible optimism, eagerness to please, and inherently trusting nature are getting to be more grating than endearing to me. At least when she was locked up in a tower she had an inner life and real conflict.

I really wanted to like this show, and I still watch it. But the story isn't engaging. The writing, humor, even the animation, is rounded off to the point of dullness. It's the Full House of cartoons.

Outside of the TV movie that kicked off the show, there is no intrigue to the proceedings. Which is a waste given the setting. It's still great eye candy, but that can only take it so far.

In theory, the combination of low stakes, trivial conflicts and cheesy music ought to appeal to fans of that horse show, but I guess they're all over at their board.

I dunno, but I am interested in seeing more of him. they slightly changed his design in giving him a mustache and beard while original had just a beard. giving him returning, I'm really hoping Griffol (the pic) makes it in. In the original idea for story, there were two villains. Mother Gothel and the leader of theives guild, Griffol -- who is an antagonist for Bastion (bear Flynn).
