whats really funny is that literally arent even enough individual episodes to fill up this airtime..there are literally from just a rough estimate 50 slots of 11 minute episodes that HAVE to be shown more than once in this week NOT counting Island Adventures AND Night Begins to Shine.
Fuck this cartoon.
I'm beginning to believe that this is willing network suicide.
>B-but kids like
No. Kids may like Teen Titans Go but if they could get fucking worn out on The Iron Giant marathons they're going to get worn out on this. There is no fucking way this is healthy for the network, Nick never even got this bad with fucking Spongebob at its peak, and TTG isn't anywhere close to as popular as Spongebob was at its peak.
No hope for that any time soon, my siblings all go into a trance state when TTG comes on, they claim it's their favorite show but they never laugh or react to anything like they do with other shows
If my siblings are the norm the schedules are just going to get worse and worse
and really OK KO is only airingcause its it's fucking primiere.....and it IS STILL enuglfed by fucking TTG.
amd people WONDER why I hate it so much. Its...I mean for fucks sake as someone who enjoys Steven Universe and considers it personally my favorite CN show right now (INB4 posts calling me an autist faggotlord) I would NEVER want it to get THIS level of airtime.
Hell I wouldnt enjoy this even if it EEnE.
this schedule is more proof we need to murder every child in their target demographic. just wipe the country clean and TTG will be without its source of viewers for a good 2 to 3 years hopefully.
TTG doesn't get better ratings than other shows on premier nights anymore, and CN as a whole has had a ratings collapse ever since they started spamming it a few years back. Their top-rated shows on premier night get ratings that would have been cancellation territory just a few years back. I can't speak for reruns because those numbers are a lot harder to find, but that's a pretty strong indication that people aren't that interested in the show anymore, and that the network's doing something wrong.
Also that's anecdotal evidence, your siblings aren't really a good indication of what children are watching at large.
Why is American CN so shitty?
I'm Canadian and we have Uncle Grandpa? PPG, Regular, We Bare Bears, Gumball, TTG, SU, Clarence, AT, Ben 10, Might Magic words and some shit CN shows I don't recognize all airing TODAY. TTG only plays 4 episodes in one day.
Where is your variety? KEK
I always thought the gradual lowering of viewership was due to internet usage and streaming shit becoming more of the norm for kids these days
Is that still a part of it, or is it ALSO because TTG spam?
fuck you Canada, your just our shitty hat!
While that is still happening, really no. Disney (Channel's TV ratings and XD's VOD ratings) and Nick both dominate CN's ratings like a fucking bus. TTG spam is solely the reason why nobody gave a shit about watching the channel anymore. The highest rating CN got this year was 1,500,000 from SU: Wanted special.
Reportedly online viewership for cartoons has exceeded tv viewership for a while now, although they almost never release numbers for those. A while back I remember CN bragging about getting 4 million in ratings for some show, I think Adventure Time, when it barely broke 1 million in tv ratings.
They're either going to have a rude awakening one day to a complete ratings implosion, have a moment of revelation if they're lucky, or be told by network managers to cut it out. Nickelodeon was forced to stop spamming Spongebob so hard because their carriers were threatening to drop them due to a lack of variety in their programming, maybe the same will happen here.
do you think the staff of TTG have the slightest inkling of just how bad it is their show is spammed THIS much or are blissfully ignorant and are so full of themselves they think this is good? I mean short term yeah but long term this is nothing but BAD. worse....they no control themselves over how much it gets aired I imagine.
More like USA is Canada's soiled nappy tbqh famalam
It's not just Canada. Here in Brazil we also get this huge variety of shows, as well as reprises of shows which new seasons haven't aired yet, such as Steven Universe, Young Justice and Sonic Boom. Also shows that have already ended, like Ben 10 omniverse and Transformers Prime.
Even in Brazil the schedule is better, we even air some local shows which aren't even that bad. Especially Haunted Tales for Wicked Kids, which has a lot of charm
Fuck everyone in this thread. If you understood the business aspect of this you'd understand that this is the only show kids are willing to watch nowadays. TV is also a dying medium and sometimes you gotta to what you gotta do to get decent viewership. As much as you faggots like those crying lesbian anime wannabe shows, they bring in poor ratings and are VERY expensive to produce. Teen Titans Go is a blessing in disguise and has helped CN through some tough times while bringing smiles across children all over the world. Go back to whining like a bunch if tumblrinas though, none of you would understand the complex reality of sustaining a network
fuck off Christina Miller.
Remember when every time you would be able to catch your favorite show it was always the same episode you had seen 100 times and there was that one episode that despite having been watching for years you had never seen? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Thank god for the internet. TV fucking sucked.
>CN as a whole has had a ratings collapse ever since they started spamming it a few years back.
I would say it started even further back when they spammed the shit out of Johnny Test. That was when I stopped bothering to watch CN on TV.
I'd wonder what was on, and oh surprise, 5 fucking hours of horse shit.
Really? Our kids only like Gumball, Adventure Time, Loud House, and Gravity Falls. TTG doesn't appeal. Now it's not a bad show, but I guess we're a little tired of the superhero theme.
Did you guys realize they have a contact page?
If you write something I'll send it and share the results.
That was back during the dark age, they had a strong ratings recovery after AT premiered and were even beating Nick for a while in the early 2010's. They collapsed again when they started spamming TTG.
Nigger, no executive or intern replies to those things, especially if it's about complaints of the schedule. The contact pages are like sending letters to a dead person. Besides, CN already knows that everyone hates the shit out of TTG and their reboots. But since they make a quick buck they don't see a problem with it.
>He says that while defending TTG
How about how Nick treated ATLA like a normal cartoon and aired reruns out of order? I tried to catch up and went from the south pole one episode, to a swamp the next.
I don't hold it against them since it was their first show with a overarching plot that needed order.
They'd been spamming TTG for a year or two before then, it was around the time they started peddling it as "Your new favourite show!" that they really started to go hard with it. There was a brief letup around a year ago bout after that they went right back to spamming.
>Grizzly Tales For Gruesome Kids
I suppose it must be a reference, but the name in brazillian portuguese is actually a pun of sorts, the translation teams must've decided to make it into a reference for the global audience.
It's actually on paper one of the worse shows for CN to air profit-wise because they have to split profits with DC. Like they'd probably make more airing reruns of any other show since reruns cost the same to air no matter what.
Desperate network executives will take anything. They are distant and don't understand kids. They have no fucking clue what to do except what will make them money.
I actually sent them a message years back and I'm pretty sure they listened.
I said they needed to air better shows because people needed to laugh during the recession like bugs bunny made people laugh during the great depression.
I actually left them a YouTube link to the creator of adventure Time's other shorts when AT was a single short and told them to make shows like that...
I never got a response, but a few years later the reboot Bugs Bunny show and Adventure Time aired. May have been coincidence but still pretty sweet if they did listen.
>Baby Looney Tunes
>Tom and Jerry
>nuPPG on a Friday
That's an old schedule. Besides, TV provider schedules change last minute anyway.
this is a shoop, right?
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
Turner/Time Warner needs to fire this fucker.
>Christina Miller in the flesh
Decent, but likely not good enough to deliver a killing blow to TTG. It'll either get a little bit of airtime for new episodes every month or so, or it'll get moved to Boomerang.
Actually you know what, this. Just fucking balls to the wall spam the shit out of it until the ratings completely collapse and the channel has to air something new just to try and survive.
I take it you never watched the show, then? Just assumed it's like Rise of Lyric in quality?
>It goes without saying, but cut down on the TT & Gumball Spam
>Everything gets played for 30 minutes-1 hour each three or four hours or something along those lines
>Maybe try to have themes regarding what shows are playing (airing certain shows on certain days for example)? I dunno
>Move Ninjago and JLA from early saturday morning to saturday night. With Super as a lead-in (though the 9:00 showing may disappear soon so that might be moot) it creates something resembling an action block (something resembling because I can't think of too many other action CN shows aside from maybe Adventure Time and Steven Universe and the latter would cause intense REEEEing). Also, show the two aforementioned action shows early in the morning during the week instead of once on a Saturday.
Those are some suggestions to get the ball rolling.
CN might as well just change their fucking name already.
Im giving you a (You) for striking a weak point.
But seriously, i think one part of the "Issue" is that Boomerang is the designated "Old Stuff" channel that got the "old" padding stuff, and as bad as having all this TTG is i guess it is preferably then having the same stuff air on two channels for the execs.
Well fuck, i will take your word for it since i usually only can check it during nights where it is good old Hannah Barbera time.
Why don't they just make other cartoons that are easy to produce than? It's fucking summer. Kids are at home all day. There's no way they're going to willfully watch a straight week of ttg. They will watch a couple of episodes and then find something else.
In Mexico we have the best of both worlds, you have morning stuff from the past, and afternoons and nights are filled with the new stuff and some movies.
You Amerilads dissapoint me so much.
the more I think about it the closer I realize
the 2010s really are Shit
Kids don't like it that much though, new episodes can't even break a 1 million anymore, they're actively sabotaging their own network to boost their app sales.
Because dedicating that much time to a show can easily bore viewers and ultimately result in loss of viewership. Which has already happened as evidenced by CN's ratings going down in tandem with their decision to spam TTG all day, and has the potential to get even worse.
They've been spamming TTG forever though, this isn't a new event relegated to just this week. And how the hell would that draw in more viewers when it doesn't get especially good ratings and is what they do as a default anyway?
Barely. Only happened with that ThanksGiving and it with Knight & Me. Plus, viewers might bother to check the schedule to see if other shows are airing to watch. They're using the hate for views.
I remember writing to Viacom not Nick about reairing El tigre after it was finished and I didn't hear a word. A couple months later they actually did start doing that so I sent them a thank you email under 500 characters
Not even meming, The Loud House is the highest viewed kid's show on air right now. Disney is doing pretty good with their show Andi Mack, and Star is Disney XD golden child right now.
Wait, aren't there only 6 episodes total?
And they actually took Gumball off the rotation for a week? That's a first in years.
Faglord, Steven Universe ain't leftist, Uncle Grandpa ain't leftist, WBB ain't leftist, fucking none of the shows that used to air are leftist apart from maybe Adventure time.
Only a retard would think otherwise.
Actually, I wonder when it will come to the point when the showrunners of the series CN purchases will start taking their case to CN about the scheduling.
The crews for Adventure Time, Steven Universe, We Bear Bears, Clarence, Mighty Magiswords, they should be the ones threatening to sue for unfair treatment and scheduling. They have a legitimate case for loss of viewership and profits due to CN schedule trolling.
Not if they could not get everyone involved, if just 1 or 2 series crews were pissed it would not mean anything. CN would shitcan the show and go about their day. It required a group effort
Suddenly Johnny Test & CN REAL don't seem that bad
Air TTGo during Adult Swim and Toonami's Block. Air it all fucking night, all day, everyday. And when we're done, air it everyday on Boomerang, too. We'll even have a "Year of Titans" and air 1 episode on repeat a day.
It's a like a genuine Monkey Paw wish for those fuckers who kept crying about wanting TT to be revived.
>CN spams one show in particular for several years
>Take some shows out of rotation entirely, or dump them quickly to never air again
>Stop promoting new episodes of most other shows or even use TTG to promote those episodes
>Viewership drops across the board
>Kids start to lose interest
>Lose all ground made to other networks
>People don't want to pitch shows to CN anymore
>Actually give other networks an advantage when it comes to getting new pitches
So how is this not intentional network suicide? What's the advantage to any of these practices?
there is an OK KO! discord where someone posted that schedule and everyone was ripping it apart. then one of the CN staff on the discord came out and said this.
I just wanna tell him its okay, you can say how shit TTG is. you're safe with us
Why don't you fucks do something about it?
Start writing complaints to cable providers and FCC then start listing grievances or even demands that TTG is offensive maybe put some bad for children language in there. Send some links to some prominent internet complainers that love to take their fight to tv series that never had anything to do with anyone, it's pretty simple
>On one day in July 2015, "Puppets, Whaaaat?" aired for six hours in a row.
>On January 21, 2016, nothing but "Serious Business" and "Caramel Apples" aired from 8AM to 12PM.
>On June 27, 2016, four airings of "Caged Tiger" and "Hose Water" made up the first two hours of thCartoon Network schedule.
>On January 14, 2017, the first part of "Two Parter" played four times in a row, with the second part being nowhere to be found on the schedule that day.
>On April 1, 2017, nothing but "Batman vs. Teen Titans: Dark Injustice" played.
You'd best believe it anon.
Sounds more like some newer execs that never once worked in tv before not really giving a shit what is on or how much of it as long as they keep getting a paycheck.
You probably have a few people that does not give a flying fuck about entertainment or cartoons in any way at all dicking around on the internet in their offices all day, or going on their 4th vacation this year because who the fuck cares about some kid's channel anyway?
>"I-it's okay guys, really. We don't mind being shit on. Maybe they'll be nice and give us more airtime, you never know"
This is really anecdotal. My daughter gets bored of TTG after one or two episodes, but actually likes Gumball and Steven Universe. Off CN, she prefers Gravity Falls and Star VS. My son on the other hand, is three and likes Transformers and Dinotrux, none of the big 3's shows catch him, it seems.
>In two weeks of programming, Cartoon Network airs a total of 5 different shows and a single film everyone's already seen
>Nickelodeon about to have Invader Zim, Hey Arnold and Rocko's Modern Life made by the original creators
CN's gonna be fucking dead in the water
I genuinely don't understand how their business isn't fucking going under
The TTG crew fucking revel in how much their show pisses off the 20-40's crowd, and love it when middle age loser types bitch and moan. In everything, from the shitty stories, to how much they miss the old series, to the show being on too much, or characters not remaining consistent. They love all of it because they know damn well that no one above 12 should be watching so they give no fucks when anyone older has a grievance.
Someone contracted to a company to show or display their work maintaining unfair treatment that leads directly to a loss of revenue can easily sue for the loss.
In the US they can sue anyone for anything either way, but if t can be shown that their action is leading to a noticeable loss in a court then they have a very good case against them.
No other crew in tv history has ever had this much success in dominating airtimes, Those numbers on paper will look fucking AMAZING to all future employers who will will read resumes in the future. You think some suit at ABC or Viacom are going to give a shit if their show pissed off internet fans in their mid 30's? You think they will know a damn thing about CN to know that it was unfairly promoted over other series? You think they will have seen a single episode of TTG to have a personal opinion?
No, they will see that X person animated/storyboarded/etc a series that maintained a 70-80% ratio nonstop for 30 months straight. Everyone on this series is going to be heralded as the golden goose that knows how to drive success.
oh god you're right
RIP Animation Industry
So what are they going to do when inevitably the show gets stale, much better shows on other channels air, and the 12 and under crowd aren't interested in it anymore? Though to be honest, that seems to be happening already.
I'm pretty sure it's not, with every other show they laugh or at least react to what is happening on screen, but with TTG they just stare and it's really fucking creepy, I've been trying to get my parents to stop them from watching it but they don't care
>Not wanting a rocky horror show cartoon
What are you, gay?
Wait, what the fuck, the US doesn't actually fund cartoon networks does it?
>KIDS WILL WATCH THIS SHOW, AND ONLY THIS SHOW, SO DEAL WITH IT!
Well yeah, if that's the only show that's actually on the schedule, it's the only one that'll get ratings.
>TV is also a dying medium
Radio still exists, it just moved online. It's only dying because it's being forcefed nothing but TTG. Give your average viewer to watch CN and only CN online and they'd snap that chance up.
That being said, 4/10, made me reply.
I even hate the TTG TTG TTG WBB WBB WBB B10 B10 B10 TTG TTG TTG style they do, I miss not knowing what would air and be happy when a show I wanted to watch popped up, even for 30 minutes. I just want them to cram in as many shows as they can but be smart about it, make it fun and not as retardedly "we're professional" as they organize it when they decide TTG isn't the only series they have
>spamming the same show constantly is good
>if TTG isn't your NEW FAVORITE SHOW you're a nostalgiafag
>implying you know anything about running a network
You air what kids are actually watching. You promote what is your most popular product. If people consumed their other shows just as much then the tables would be flipped but they aren't. All I see is whining about how CN's most popular show is popular. You do know the creators make fun of you fags for this autism right?
THEY TOOK AWAY JUSTICE LEAGUE ACTION'S ONE SLOT!
WHY CN! WHY!?
Except The Loud House is the most popular show in that demographic these days
>Nickelodeon is getting the Hey Arnold Movie, Rocko's Modern Life movie, Invader Zim reboot
>Disney is coming back in full force with the Ducktales reboot, and a hinted marathon of saturday morning disney shows
>Cartoon Network is actively killing all new programming by drowning it in TTG garbage
What makes this whole thing worseis the way the executives talk about the kids watching their network
They make them sound like fucking morons who can't handle any sort of variety or can't operate without a fucking smartphone
>You air what kids are actually watching
You don't need to air it that much you autist, even kids that like TTG would get sick of it.
This wouldn't be so bad if I could just watch shit on their site or if Cartoon Network would release decent dvds.
I cannot watch anything on their site without logging in and providing my cable bill information and their back log of episodes for shows is limited.
As far as dvds go, CN is still releasing single dvds with random episodes on them. Just release full seasons with the episodes in proper order you dolts.
I refuse to believe an exec in the business for years is this retarded
so, crazy theories?
>someone's got a vendetta
>blackmails him into doing ridiculous and sabataging his own relations and rep
>everyone hates him, he hates himself and has nowhere to go
>they didn't need to lift a finger
the best revenge
>tfw one of the few CN series to get a Blu-Ray release is
This is another baffling practice, why are they not releasing more dvd/blu rays of their shows, especially popular ones? To my knowledge only Samurai Jack, Courage, and Powerpuff Girls ever got full physical releases. They even did earlier seasons for most of their shows but never finished releasing them, what the fuck.
>You air what kids are actually watching.
right, and since there's literally no other options, it's going to have views from the kids that are dumb and can't remember they just watched the same episode for 2 hours, but those that can realize that leave, which is what's happening since CN can't get even acceptable ratings anymore. What they cancelled Regular Show for is what TTG gets even in premieres sometimes, the difference is CN fucked over RS to give it bad ratings, they promote and spam when a TTG episode is premiering and it gets about the same
Did you even check for this week?
For the people asking why CN USA is different than international hubs:
CN USA is the main hub that spurts to the others, what CN USA does is the most important to them and the main driving force for their direction, which is why most shows/crews are here, while international CN channels don't have to do the same. Whatever CN is doing this for, it's not required/going to help them in a different place. Example being merchandise, CN quit releasing RS on home media in 2014 back with S3, but internationally Season 7 is just being released on DVD. It's because international markets are different than the main hub's market. They're basically completely different and most of the time the hands of the main building never interfere with the other outlets.
That goes with how some shows in the UK/Asia air on CN while the same shows air on Disney or Nick here, they're almost entirely seperate
>the first part of "Two Parter" played four times in a row, with the second part being nowhere to be found on the schedule that day.
Every day I thank God that my favorite show didn't get picked up by CN
>They're airing your show on one day! You should be happy
Go to bed Vishnu
Star VS is obnoxious wacky dumb shit that /co/ parades as cute
2010 and 2011 were probably the most variety filled years. Sure, Johnny Test was spammed a bit, but we still had reruns of KND, EEnE, Courage, ect. It felt like there were too many shows to air in one day.
It is objectively cute and your tastes are disagreeable.
Besides, if CN picked it up they would have ran with the original pitch and turned it into an actual shitty wacky gross-out show that wouldn't have lasted two seasons.
No anon, it's a middle aged weirdo mastabutory aid
Yeah well, that's, like, your opinion, man.
>hated Johnny Test back then and thought CN couldn't possibly get any worse
Not saying Johnny Test is good, but it's still watchable sometimes and I'm actually starting to miss it.
>most of the shows on the key either don't even air or haven't aired in months
what the fuck are they even doing with these anymore? we could have a lot more variety than we have now and yet about 60% of the regular schedule is TTG
>literally nothing but TTG and a tiny bit of OK K.O.
Someone at CN actually needs to be fired because this shit is beyond levels of ridiculous.
I'd still watch it over TTG though.
Dukey, Bling Bling Boy and the CIA agents are the only characters I like.
>>94226580 Isn't me, but still. Either way the writers have a very shitty way of humor that only kids and women could like, since women seem to like wacky dumb shit that's very obnoxious, hence why most of the TTG defenders here that have a proven gender are women
Steven Universe, Ben 10, and Clarence have beat TTG recently. Almost everything on Nick beats TTG. Disney XD hasn't had any show go over 600k yet this year, which is mostly due to most XD shows airing new episodes at 7am or 11am.
We're never getting a Chowder/Flapjack renaissance again, are we? We're never dropping the shitty "limited to 4 colors because it's easy for autistic kids to register" layout, are we? Hell, I'd take the entirety of 2010 CN over whatever the fuck this is, the bumpers actually didn't hurt to look at and had some really memorable shows on
Most popular with their own audience you retard
The point is that if the other shows pulled in the same viewership then they'd get more air time. They air GO because that's apparently what they watch the most. Logic, it's not hard
Nielson ratings have fallen to the wayside of on demand and streaming ages ago not to mention that cable Nielson ratings work differently than for regular television
Just imagine how much worse the future is going to be
Sudden schedule change for tomorrow and Sunday says otherwise.
Everyone here must be a poorfag because anyone with cable now only watches live television when a new episode of their favorite show airs. Otherwise it's all about On Demand which let's toy watch what you want, when you want. Some networks don't even bother with air times before having their new episode available On Demand as long as it's the day it was going to air, like STARZ
I don't watch live television unless it's football now
Guess I'm converting to Nickelodism now.
I hope Welcome to the Wayne is good.
Let's face it, there's no real way to save CN now, the network we loved for years has been dead for a while. Just move on and reminisce on the good times
I always changed the channel when Johnny Test came on so I have no idea what happened in either of those episodes.
I really hope CN actually dies. With such a shit new lineup of shows coming in 2018 and their current schedule handling, there's absolutely no recovering unless we fire Miller now and hire someone who can make drastic decisions for the better
RS got cucked also by Titans and Shrek
what the fuck is with CN and Shrek? is there a budget thing happening? that and the damn diary of a wimpy kid movie series that aired just one of the movies 5 times in a week
Nah, I'd rather just google it.
I'd never actually watch Johnny Test unless I wanted something to make fun of.
>On the same week as OK KO make its public debut.
It's like getting shot on your leg on the first day of school. disgusting.
>ADV, and Manga
this is the truth and only the truth. Now and Then dub was the shit
>We Bear Bears, Clarence, Mighty Magiswords, Steven U
WBB gets promoted and aired regularly, Clarence gets promoted 70% of the time and has been regularly aired until almost recent times, and despite a lack of airing, Magiswords has this fucking huge game that interferes with every other show airing when they decide to do it, like every fucking day in June. SU? mistreated? Sure, but it's not nearly as bad as AT or RS, and despite not knowing much with Uncle Grandpa, it's only fair to point out that they had a finale bomb planned and last minute decided to not air most of the final episodes anyway
>times, and despite a lack of airing, Magiswords has this fucking huge game that interferes with every other show airing when they decide to do it, like every fucking day in June.
Don't CN advertise SU on their Twitter Page?
No, it's how I was when I was younger and "liked" watching the terrible episodes of SpongeBob, soon these kids will grow up and realize they're watching trash.
Let's just hope no new kids start liking it, that's how SpongeBob is still around.
>Every dub by funimation sucks.
>Nerima Daikon Brothers
Yeah, okay buddy
>tfw wanted to make a show for CN one day
Do you think the network will be better in a few years or is it going to just keep going down
CN promotes SU MUCH more than any other show. They give it all the attention they can on social media, they just made that Estelle music video that also aired on CN yesterday, they have a podcast for SU, not to mention that they give the show a shitton of merch. Console games, a soundtrack (including a vinyl version), a lot of Funko figs (most in the POP style but some not), Monopoly and Yahtzee variants, and all that stuff. Sure, they should do MORE (Blu-Rays when), but I don't see TTG getting any of that except the Funko figs.
When new episodes are on the horizon, CN on TV goes ahead and puts all their effort into some big or sometimes dramatic promo advertising these new eps. And they deliver great ratings, often beating TTG.
The reason they don't rerun it often is because its not exactly easy to watch in reruns. If you don't know the plot you'd be pretty lost. CN wants you to watch SU on demand or on their website, where they can still get revenue from it.
Maybe but it's hard to tell and they aren't saying it anywhere that that's the case, unlike the time they made a big deal over the 11 minute beast boy birthday episode
but anyway my point is every show that isn't TTG is being shafted but some fandoms like to say it's worse for them and then it becomes a circlejerk, SU has it pretty decent
>Nerima Daikon Brothers
It was ADV anon. Though I respect you for even knowing that show exists. The dub getting miscredited bugs me because I love how the voice actors thank the view at the end of each episode.
So much so that I felt guilty about streaming it and tracked down a physical copy even though ADV is out of business so they'll never get my money anyways, which makes the whole situation kinda sad.
>people still argue over dub vs sub
Itll never end
>They managed to surpass themselves
It's one of a very small number of shows where I think there's consensus on the dub being better, I think that the creator even acknowledged it just like how the creator of Bebop said he thought the English dub was better.
Its dub over sub retard, it's about quality of the dub and some companies are better at it than others. Funimation is notoriously bad at dubbing, in some cases changing entire dialogue and soundtracks like in the case of DBZ
It's pretty shit bait, but there's a corn nugget of truth in there. No 'leftist' show would have a straight (if faggy) white male always be right while every single female he interacts with (including his parental figures that are many thousand years older) ultimately be subservient to his will.
>it can't get worse!
In about a year and a few months CN will premiere The Emoji Movie on TV and it will be the next spammed flick mixed between ben 10 10 summertime go ben 10 10 summer time go
This plus TTG is going to make CN the DC channel
Probably, every time I hate a series or have something to complain about something happens that turns it into a situation where people will strawman it.
Like I hate TTG because of its humor, its the epitome of what I hate, but then CN started spamming it and everytime I say I hate TTG it's always "cry more that your show isn't airing" or "nostalgiafag"
Goddamn did this lady dodge a bullet by her pitch getting picked up by Disney instead of CN
I legitimately never ever thought the network could get as bad as the Johnny Test spam days but god was I wrong. I remember when the show as pulled from the air. It was such a happy day.
It's not even the most popular show on its own network. It's ONE of the most popular but AT and SU both have been known to get better ratings on premier nights, and it barely outclasses most of the other shows anyway. If you factor in Nick and Disney it's not even in the top 5 most popular cartoons currently airing.
Yup, that's one of the nails in the coffin. That makes space for a better channel.
It ain't. We are being bamboozled yet again.
>implying anyone at Cartoon Network owns the intellectual property of their shows and isn't just work for hire who can be replaced at the snap of a finger without any legal recourse
>The original Teen Titans made 65 half-hour episodes plus one TV movie
>Teen Titans Go! has so far made the equivalent of 93.5 half-hour episodes.
Teen Titans GO! is the main core and Gumball is the secondary core of CN. CN is trying to find a new main core. Look how wild they went with Ben 10 and Cloudy then totally gave up. They're taking every new show, throwing it on the ceiling to see if it sticks. Then if it fails, they give up completely and go to the next new show. TTG is shrinking their overall ratings. But it is still their strongest show in reruns so they still need it to make enough money... It's a vicious parasitic cycle.
They either lose their overall ratings slowly with too many TTG reruns or they remove the parasite completely at one time and then they instantly lose 20%+ of overall viewership.
CN is in a race against time to find the medicine (Next successful show) to kill the parasite (TTG!). CN knows the parasite is killing CN. Look how hard CN tried to make Ben 10 and Cloudy successful. They are extremely desperate to kill the parasite.
Kill it? It's perfect for them. They do not have to bother much and spamming it all day still pays the bills.
If anything they want to find the next TTG so they can spam that all day instead.
Has CN done anything at all to promote the month of OK KO next month?
I think it's like when I was a kid and wanted to see how retarded and episode of something I dislike could get. Unless they're watching episodes on repeat, then it's not normal. Or maybe they're wondering the appeal of the show and trying to understand why it keeps airing.
"i think the idea is to imprint OK KO with a lot of the TTG fanbase, which is (duh) the fanbase on CN right now!"
While I don't doubt there are genuine fans of the show, I doubt the fanbase of the show is bigger than, say, SU's fanbase.
