Excited for OK KO? You better be, it's taking up precious airtime, y'know.
link or gtfo. Even CN is not THIS retarded.
As you wish.
I said it in the last thread about this and I'll say it here.
This is a second dark age and all we can do right now is just let the ratings keep falling, tune in when shows that aren't TTG are on and hope that the same thing that happened in 2010 happens in a few years.
If this doesn't happen the channel will die out, leaving only Disney XD and Nickelodeon.
It's maybe a dark age of programming, but CN is producing a lot of good shows right now. CN is producing like ten shows, and a bunch of them are at least GOOD. In the actual dark age, they actually went like a year without releasing ANY new cartoons.
I remember back before justin.tv shut down because it was nothing but channels which illegally streamed a single show 24/7, it's pretty easy to notice something: those channels were quite popular. People could easily find videos of the series on on-demand pirate stream sites, but they choose to gather in one place and watch them all in a random order. Not an orchestrated arrangement of a variety of shows, but the same show over and over. Now you got The Simpsons channel, The Teen Titans GO! channel, even the History Channel does nothing but marathon repeats of its original programming on different reality shows (better than "Alien dun it" documentaries) while the BBC does the same.
Times are changing, grampa. If you want variety, you can mix it yourself online.
I spend half my time on TV and the internet, you can do both at the same time. When you live in the mountains you're pretty much only have HughesNet as your ISP. AT&T will offer you fast internet, for 100 bucks a month as their cheapest price, and they don't bundle phone service with that either. Shit sucks.
Yeah, they're producing them, then shoving TTG and Gumball 80% in their programming slots. You can make great things, but if you don't do anything with them, then what's the point?
Nick doesn't even air Spongebob this much for fuck's sake
I'm cautiously optimistic, but based on the fact that it's CN and it's literally the only series premiere I don't think will be complete shit, I'm not too hopeful. The renaissance is over, people. Get ready for a decade of darkness once the last couple good shows airing now end.
Why don't they just fucking rename the channel "TTG Network" already
Miller has no idea how to run it.
Notice how it's currently the 25th anniversary. Now notice that there's absolutely nothing on the network that's reflective of that.
She doesn't understand CN and its legacy. All she sees with CN is toy sales.
I can't believe I'm saying this.
But this is making me miss CN Real
Don't hurt me but,
Magiswords, they finally slowed down the godawful pacing and a lot of the jokes work.
I find this hard to believe, I'll wait until next week to believe this, they can't possibly think this is a good way to start airing a new show. I mean, even Ben 10 and Cloudy got more airtime when they first started, I think.
That goes leaps and bounds compared to what TTG's brain-trust of a studio behind them would do that's for damn sure.
They'll take any form of criticism and turn it into a scarecrow argument.
Even though I know they like lampooning history, facts, reality, and then some for the sake of comedy. It doesn't work, and it often to me feels like they're just treating their audience like god damn idiots over half the time.
Ben 10 reboot is lukewarm at best in comparison to nuPPG. At least there one of the staff isn't trying to self-insert himself to become Gwen's husbando.
In this day
and in this age
I'm not trying to defend, I want her removed because she's been a stupid vapid cunt about this shit and it really started to shine 2014+, which were when AT and RS started getting ignored, eventually not even promoted, etc. She's certainly after a preschool setting and money
Isn't interactive TV a thing now? Why don't they have multiple subnetworks for different types of content?
Like, a regular stream, integrating Boomerang from being it's own channel into a subnetwork that streams classic cartoons, then one dedicated to old original CN content? Wouldn't this make everyone happy?
Yeah, TTG goes out of their way to mean-spiritedly lampoon critics. Not a gentle ribbing, but full on douche mode.
I have seen one good episode of TTG, and it's the episode where Ravager calls them out on how lame they all are.
This guy is the reason why CN is mostly TTG.
Damn. We may be months behind in the UK, and we may have to put up with some ridiculous censorship, but at least we still have a decent amount of variety and don't have TTG shoved down our throats like this.
They should just make a whole episode where they don't try to be funny, it would easily be the best episode by far. The writers know how to make cute and heartwarming stuff but instead they decided to do the opposite and wrote them as dicks
A few years ago cable companies saved us from more Spongebob by threatening to drop NIckelodeon unless they diversified their schedule and justified their price. It's time they did the same with CN.
In Germany, a free channel has the rights to air TTG. And free channels are important to get your show popular around here.
The thing is, they just don't air it. They have the rights to air it but they refuse to, they just don't seem to give two flying shits about the show.
He's Vishnu, the scheduling manager of CN USA since mid 2014.
Before that, he headed the Asian and Indian scheduling departments where, from what I've heard, proceeded to spam Oggy and the Cockroaches like he doing now with TTG.
Name the last known day TTG wasn't on CN. Even Thanksgiving when it was just movies, they squeezed in 11 minute TTG episodes as filler, aired their music videos during the credits/commercial breaks, etc.
I refuse to believe CN can fall lower, it'd be actually impossible for them to just air TTG because of broadcast standards, so this IS as bad as it can get
whos in charge of this crap
To be fair, it is a new show. Judging by those slots it only has those few episodes to air in that time so want to wait about a month till they expose it more. That is why most new shows, no matter the network, tend to have premiere weeks where they air a new episode every day. Without that week you have a very limited number of time slots.
>yfw [adult swim] starts getting less slots in favor of more TTG
>because of broadcast standards
sooo they KNOW they're reaching a breaking point and still doing nothing?
what? was the show pitched by the exec so she shilling as hard as she can?
K.O. is not OK with this...
Is it this way because CN has no cartoons or what the fuck? Is there shit in production and because of that CN is filling everything with TTG or is CN just that fucking greedy that they don't ask for more cartoons because TTG is doing just fine?
They have a huge backlog. They even had a great programming opportunity with Regular Show's series finale, they could've aired a marathon leading up to it, but instead it was just a day of TTG, Shrek, and Rio. They were actively struggling to make sure they didn't air anything RS related except the finale.
Fucking indian gods can't be trusted.
You all know what you have to watch now
They'll probably forget there was an anniversary, then do some sort of two hour block the next day. The block itself would consist of the later season episodes of Grim and Mandy/Scooby Doo/Regular Show/just some schedule some intern made at the last minute.
>tfw the block is just more TTG
CN México schedule.
I find it hard to believe all of the guys North of the border are going through cartoon hell, meanwhile we get both CN, Boomerang and Tooncast showing varied cartoons.
>thinks not complaining about TT:Go is b8
I bet you'd unironically want that mediocre piece of a shit anime version back
>pic related is your average "reboot sucks, bring original show pls" faggot
>This isn't even considered a marathon for CN
>shitting up your main network so people have to buy expanded cable to watch anything decent
No thanks, that's what piracy is for. :^)
They want you to watch the episodes you want online on their app/website with lots of disruptive ads but lmao
>check guide on TV for Monday
>Guide doesn't even break it down hour by hour. Just says..
>6:00am Cartoon Network Programming
>8:00pm King of the Hill
I watched the leaked K'O episodes and they were boring.
>ed edd edy
WHY THE FUCK CAN'T WE HAVE THIS?!!
Mighty Magiswords season 2. I'm looking forward to that.
I was checking out bunsen is a beast but now I can't find more than 6 episodes online, now I kinda sorta want to get into Welcome to the Wayne but other than the promise of plot nothing else is grabbing my attention.
what I get from K.O is that it's all flare and no substance.
I meant series premiere. There are a couple good or at least not terrible shows airing now, but the point is that these can't go on forever, most are already a couple years old, and there's nothing even close to quality coming up to replace them.
>implying a manchild mentality makes you smarter
theirs a reason guys like Mysterious Mr. Enter and PhantomStrider are openly mocked and ridiculed for their autistic mentalities for shows such as TT:Go, Gravity Falls, and Steven Universe
>All these complaints about shitty tv scheduling
>Even top premium cable companies don't provide CN here, because it's shit
Oh, it goes further than that, anon!
Miller's more kid-friendly vision for CN can also be seen through the network's bumpers/promos (remember that obnoxious CN Sayin' period when children were displayed on TV if they sent in a video of themselves shilling various shows) as well as every recent original series they've picked up being TV-Y7 as opposed to the TV-PG that was the norm just 3-4 years ago:
>We Bare Bears
>OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes
and most likely:
>Summer Camp Island
>Apple & Onion
>Craig of the Creek
YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS UP
YES I'M FUCKING HYSTERICAL[/spoielr]
when you see his face and burst the fuck out in laughter you KNOW they're probably gonna do a fucking shit job
i'm actually fucking cry-laughing this guy looks he just got divorced
what's the difference anyway?
also, when are we getting guns liquar and cigs back in toons? it never should've been a big deal in the first place. fucking looney toons and HB had shit like that
hell, they had suicide jokes
Is this real???
This has really good variety, considering we're talking about modern day CN. These guys know EXACTLY what they're doing.
They're even airing Regular Show reruns after it ended, and for some reason over here it's like an unspoken rule to never speak of it again
That better not be real
Holy hell its real
>Soon the schedule will be filled to the brim with absolutely nothing but TTG
>Soon, as you scroll through your guide, you'll see this menacing, endlessly repeating pattern of GO! GO! GO
>Soon, the creators themselves will grow weary and attempt to quit, only to be hell in captivity and ordered to do 11 more seasons
>Soon, we'll see Miller herself, dressed in a Robin costume, doing sommersalts and displaying a maddening dance in her office, decorated to look eerily accurate to the main room of the modern Titan's Tower, with the stolen Soundcloud soundtrack blaring in the background as she slowly approaches you, a menacing smile on her mug with steel shackles stylized to look like two Birdirangs
I really don't feel all that surprised by now
And at least those shows had a variety of things in them to where if you didn't like one aspect there were others you might like, TTG is just the same wacky stupid humor with annoying voice actor reads in every episode, mixed with random "fuck you!!" messages that are just retardedly executed anyway
But even if there was a series everyone loved 100% it wouldn't deserve this much air time
So I found 5 episodes already out, what the fuck happened to the VA after 3? It's so much worse. If any of you have On Demand they're already uploaded.
Anyway the show itself is decent, has a lot of causal anime-tier slapstick and isn't particularly tumblry
>he doesn't like Kid Goku's VA
though yeah the delivery isnt the best
I really do to be completely honest. Didn't care for "DUDE, what would happen" though
Why is this whole network run by shit heads? TTG have a stranglehold on CN daytime, Lazzo is a shit, and then there's Jason.
>britbong equivalent of a strip mall is sometimes called a power center
real missed opportunities here
Things are about to change again, right? RIGTH!?
Which Cartoon Network president had the best run of shows?
>Space Ghost Coast to Coast, What a Cartoon!, Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, The Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog
>Samurai Jack, Codename: Kids Next Door, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Star Wars: Clone Wars, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Camp Lazlo, Ben 10, Class of 3000
>Chowder, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Adventure Time, Regular Show, The Looney Tunes Show, The Amazing World of Gumball, Teen Titans Go!, Uncle Grandpa, Steven Universe
>Over the Garden Wall, Clarence, Mighty Magiswords, We Bare Bears, Wabbit, Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!, Bunnicula, PPG 2016, Ben 10 2016, Justice League Action
Fuck everyone in this thread. If you understood the business aspect of this you'd understand that this is the only show kids are willing to watch nowadays. TV is also a dying medium and sometimes you gotta to what you gotta do to get decent viewership. As much as you faggots like those crying lesbian anime wannabe shows, they bring in poor ratings and are VERY expensive to produce. Teen Titans Go is a blessing in disguise and has helped CN through some tough times while bringing smiles across children all over the world. Go back to whining like a bunch if tumblrinas though, none of you would understand the complex reality of sustaining a network
Nostalgiafags like to scream and rant about how great the shows were under Cohen, but that middle period was 100% where the network really found its shine.
And now Miller has plugged in week after week of YOUR NEW FAVORITE SHOW.
Honestly even the dark ages of CN real were preferable to this. At least there was variety
CN is basically the Old days of Merry Melody/HB/MGM reruns, the golden age of the late 90s/earls 2000s, the decline of 2004-2006, the first dark ages of 2007-2011, the revival of 2011-2015, the second dark ages of TTG to the present
The most annoying thing about TTG is even the creators know it's awful and they constantly reference that. They take no pride in their work
A "point" of the show is that it's deliberately bad
CN shows Nick Jr., Spongebob, Loud House, Thundermans, and a few other shitty tween sitcoms during daytime. It amounts to at least 10 shows.
Meanwhile CN's daily schedule by this point is literally 75% TTG, 20-25% Gumball, 0-5% other
>Squatting on the arabs holy land and having a good laugh about it
>Sitting here with my assault rifle because of lax gun laws
>Your puppet is in the white house
>Our CN bloc doesn't show Teen Titans Go at all, Ed, Edd, n Eddy and Billy & Mandy are still big here
the goyim lose again
Remember when "marathons" would be the same show like 3-4 times in a row? Not a whole week of it? Because there were so many shows you got so much variety?
I remember the "marathons" Nickelodeon used to have in the early 2000s on summer afternoons, the Nicktoon Summer Beach House. It was 3 hours of a single nicktoon and this qualified as a marathon. Now 3 hours of spongebob is the norm on Nick, and ONLY 3 hours of TTG is a big deal on any day of CN
