I think you have a very broad definition of what constitutes threatening behavior. I'm just kind of annoyed that there's a new Cape movie every three months.
It was kind of exciting when you got one a year, but now there's just so many.

Plus, audiences generally get tired of fads after a decade and a half, see stuff like 80s action movies and slashers. I just don't think Marvel is going to be able to capture audiences like they did with Thanos in 2012.

By the time they're gearing up for the Skrull Kree war that will probably succeed Thanos, DC will have done their big Rocky Space guy movie, and the market for capes will be saturated.

I remember the days when movies lasted just barely long enough to be considered actual full-lenght films and still managed to tell a better story with real, convincing and engaging characters than anything that either Marvel or DC have put out in the past decade

Marvel is running into a mistake. Having Avengers 3 and 4 be 3 hour ventures will likely overload audiences, and having Ant-Man + Wasp as well as Spider-Man 2 follow up so soon afterwards could basically make people feel exhausted.
