HAZAH!!!!!
>>94052329
Thank god my superior taste OP. Was worried for a sec.
I just had to resize a shit ton of pages. Fucking hate the 4 megabyte size. ALso hate that Bendis has a boner for two page spreads. There comes a point where it just comes across as tackey.
>>94052329
We must bump!
Probably doesn't need to be stated, but everyone PLEASE refrain from posting images in this thread. I'm going to be cutting it close for the image limit and I'd be pissed if I was a page or two short from finishing the issue. Once I reach the end though, go for it. Thank you for your time and consideration, now back to the show.
>>94052948
AND I MUST THANK AWESOME PEOPLE FOR BUMPING!!
>>94052836
You too!

Thanks a lot op
>>94053179
Uh oh...
>>94053179
I re-read this page recently and all I could think of is what would happen if he tried pulling this line with Kaine or Spock
And then there's these assholes.
>>94053104
And thank you for visiting the thread! As I mentioned in prior threads, I had repeatedly kept seeming /co/mrades absolutely lambast this series because of Bendis' name on the front and I don't think that's fair. He's definitely written some stinkers but to completely write his off as a writer is doing a disservice to the guy and quite frankly some of his work is actually really good.
>I loved Ultimate Spider-Man
>I loved Daredevil
>I really liked Alias although it took me a try or two.
>I fucking LOVE Powers!
>Select Arcs from all of his Avengers series (New Avengers Vol. 1+2, Avengers Vol. 4, and Dark Avengers).
The guy has a lot to offer.
>>94053272
They would have laid his ass out. God knows I would have. The second you make a threat like that is the second you get to take a nice long nap complete with concussion.

>>94053391
For legal reasons, no
Jean, you know what you're doing. Stop being a judgmental cunt. It probably wouldn't have happened if you kept your mouth shut.
I hate all of these characters sans Peter. Honestly I dislike the X-Men in most incarnations. They have the biggest martyr complex and they think that allows them to be colossal assholes a lot of the time.
>>94053468
This is Jean "Make You Gay" Grey we're talking about here.
>>94053450
Jesus Jean that's rude as fuck.
>>94053468
Why is jean grey such an awful character?
Every incarnation of her is just awful
>>94053512
The issue whereshe switches Peter's mind with Logan's makes them seem like true pieces of garbage. Peter telling them all off was the best part of that entire issue.
>>94053661
Understatement of the century. The worst part is that this is played as just a normal character interaction instead of Peter losing his shit and saying that she needs to back the fuck off. PSychics in the Marvel Universe (Jean Grey in particular) need to understand the people don't want them in their head and its the mental equivalent of busting in while someone's taking a shit and staring them down while saying they're not even there.
>Sorry for ranting.
>Every Jean Grey I've ever seen written by Bendis deserves a bat to the face.
>>94053450
>I don't feel comfortable with you in my head
No one does peter. No one.
>>94053775
I know I said this before, but Ultimate Kitty a cute and it pisses me off to no end that Bendis dangled her relationship with Pete in front of us for all of 2 issues before breaking them up so he could have her run off with his self insert.
>>94053735
I wanna argue that the X-men Evolution incarnation wasn't that bad. Though I haven't watched that since Disney XD aired it.Netflix might have it still but only S1 for some god forsaken reason
>>94054189
Damn X-men just got no fucking respect for a guy in a mask.
>>94054250
Later in the run UltimateDeadpoolshows up and warns off one of his minions from removing it, saying that one of the rules is that you "respect the mask". Probably one of the only characters who didn't end up seeing Pete unmasked.
>>94054304
Oh fuck you you didn't know his name, Chuck was in his head and called him by his first name, and you just know Jean did the same thing.
Is it acceptable to use the phrase "fucking muties" if we're referring to Ultimate Universe only, or is that not cool?
>>94054417
I'm completely cool with it. Fucking muties willingly and without remorse violate teh rights
Would I be going too far by saying that the X-Men of this universe are by far the most hypocritical fucktards out of all the X-Men? I don't remember them being this big a group of assholes in the Animated TV show but maybe I'm wrong.
>>94054834
I think what Bendis did with the Ultimate X-Men is basically an early version of that Red Skull page that always gets posted.
>>94055093
Ultimate May and Ultimate JJJ were so fucking based.
>>94053775
I like how the jet is based on an SR-71 in 616 and a B-2 in the Ultimate universe. Those are two of the most sci-fi looking airplanes.
>>94055718

>>94055216
I actually didn't know that. Learn something new every day.
>>94053925
I think they went longer than two issues......maybe
>>94055795
They're doing it because they can. And it shows that they're in control. Probably not the reason why but I'm a pessimist that thinks the entire world has control issues.
>>94054424
I would kill to see Spiderman and Superman team up.
>>94056053
Which iteration of Spidey and which iteration of Superman? I'd hope for 1610 Spidey and current Superdad. Peter needs a strong male role model that isn't psychotic (Norman), manipulate (Fury), or mentally abusive (JJJ).
>>94053877
At least she didn't make him gay.
>>94055546
Dude Jersey 911 is AWESOME. I doubt NEW YORK's 911 would be that open to help.
>>94056283
Is there a reason she did that to bobby or is she just a huge cunt.
>>94055974
Nah. Ultimate Deadpool is a merc hired to kill the X-Men for a reality TV program that's live broadcasted and Spidey gets caught up in it.
>>94054497
That was a pretty cool sequence.
>>94056490
She's a huge cunt and the general populace thinks it was a "natural" thing for the character. Only /co/ realizes the red headed bitch is to blame.
>>94056376
And this would be the moment where I told Jonah to crawl up his own ass and die because we're tired of dealing with your shitty attitude.
If I was Spider-Man, this would be the point where I straight up beat the Kingpin to the brink of death and told him to leave or else I come back and finish the job. Peter played nice. He followed the rules. And even when catching that fat man in the act of crushing some dudes skull on tape, he still got off. I would guilt free walk up to that fat bastard and reach inside that tub of good and yank out his intestines so I could strangle them with it so I would have to listen to his garbage.
>This is why I would make a terrible superhero.
>At least this page is funny
>>94056160
I grew up on the cartoon. I gotta say Kingpin is my favorite spidey villian. Im reading this in his voice actors voice and I hope, somehow he is,the villian for the next movie.
>>94056053
There were actually 2 crossovers. Second involves Peter getting a job at the Daily Planet. Would post a page I have saved, but storytime and all that.
>>94056490
>Is there a reason
They threw a dart for which new character to make "progressive", then chose a convoluted way to make it happen. They just had Jean pull him aside and go "You're totally gay" and he was like "ok", then they confronted his older self and also went "You're super gay" and his older self went "Thank god someone finally knows".
Also doing it to the older self really fucks things over though, and makes it so they can't change it. It just makes some shit confusing since its a retcon, just like all retcons.
>>94056126
Did Kingpin gain weight? He looks even bigger than usual here.

>>94056708
FUCK YEAH PETER! Don't even bother going back because that bitch wouldn't even give you a straight answer. You've literally learned all you can from her and you also learned a valuable fact about how the world works. He who has the money, makes the rules
And I don't say this often, but Aunt May needs to shut her fucking trap and stop making this about Ben. It's not even remotely the same thing and she knows it.
>>94056207
Silver age and this one.
>>94056452
I love Robbie.
>>94054912
Man, this was an amazing issue. This series wasn't afraid to get real. I miss this Bendis. I mean, look at this dialogue. No Bendis speak. At least not really. And the amount of depth and context it gives may is incredible. I like that the series dealt a lot with loss and the grieving process and how the different characters go through it in their own ways.
Now we're getting somewhere.
>>94056854

This was a great intro sequence. I actually wonder if it was influenced at all by the Brendan Frasier Mummy movies as the way Marko forms and turns into a snadstorm reminds me a lot of the Mummy in that movie at least visually. The bullet spitting moment was also very cool.
>>94055718
Wait, are you not doing Ultimate Six, OP? Pretty important story.
>>94056857
And there are people on this board that will dismiss it simply for the fact that it's written by Bendis. Fucking tards.
>I have no idea why I am so angry right now. Should probably look into that.
>>94057118
I second this. Ultimate Six is pretty big, although I'm pretty sure most people reading are familiar with it.
>>94057118
Oh I definitely am, but I remember an anon saying it takes place after issue 53 so it is coming up. Promise.
>>94057015

>>94057016
I may end up posting it in the next thread, I had a few drinks earlier and I'm feeling a little drowsy now
This page is devastating.
>Are you hitting on me?
It's official. Ultimate Peter is my favorite version of the character hands down.
>>94057573
In a way he has a point. Its hard to be a relatable symbol in some ways when your a superhuman in a mask.

You're not wrong. It's definitely distracting.
Peter, you and I both know that's never going to happen.
I've never said I love you to anyone. Felt it but didn't say it. Kinda glad I didn't. She was a manipulative harpy.
Anyone have that panel of spiderman bowing while holding a roseand a guy comments on how even unmasked he cant recall what he looks like?
FUCK YEAH! Stonewall that bastard.

>>94058517
Jesus, Tony is such an asshole when he drinks tequila
>>94058594
Hot.
I wouldn't last ten seconds in this universe. Whenever an injustice happens, like this guy trying to be intimidating, every plan I come up with to deal with these kind of people ends in violence. Every single person pulls a power play and just expects the other person to roll over. It's sickening. Nobody has a goddamn backbone.
I totally had a student pull this crap in my class. Admittedly it was an 8AM class but if I'm forced to drag myself there, I expect you to do the same. I wouldn't have gotten in his face like that, but I definitely I would have thrown something like a balled up piece ,of paper or just waited in silence admiring the situation. And before anyone says I'm an asshole for doing that, be aware that for a while I brought my students coffee, creamer, and sugar on some days along with styrofoam cups in case you didn't have a thermos.
>>94058740
MJ cutting real deep.
Awwwwwwwwwww
>>94058699
I had one professor who instituted a rule that anyone whose phone rang in class would have 2 points deducted from their final grade. She never followed through on it, unfortunately. Don't be like that prof, OP. It's your class and your rules. Next time you catch some fucker sleeping in class, say that everyone who raises their hand gets one point of extra credit on their next quiz/test.
God damn, I think I'm in love. Then again I am attracted to beautiful women, that would be absolutely horrible to me so I'm not surprised.
>>94058756
Okay stop being a manbaby, Pete. Like seriously what the fuck are you doing blowing this good thing you have.
Wow. Just...wow.
Peter, you're not old enough to drink. Also if you're anything like 616 Peter you're seriously one of the world's cheapest drunks because of your nervous system works on overdrive.
That is a lot of throwing stars.
Alright. Final issue of the night. Let's do this.
>>94058946
Also he has a girlfriend. Also the meaning of the ad was really obvious to anyone who watched the news, so there could be people after him (Oh, what do you know, there are). Also you're taking a drink from a strange thief who kicked you, when it could totally be poisoned.
>>94058999
Or roofied. A lot of people would pay big to know who Spider-Man is, so having a camera and some GHB wine handy would be a nice little windfall
>>94058999
To be fair he is a 15-16 year old kid in the throes of puberty. I don't think he would have done anything but it was definitely a stupid move.
>>94059046
Definitely not his smartest move.
I want to join in. HA!
Peter's internal monologue is priceless.
>>94058766
I know she didn't quite mean what she said, but she really should have known not to press that button. There are some things you just don't attack. It's too easy and you're only going to feel like shit afterward.
>>94059147
I don't think he's actually having this moral dillemma.
>Oh, hey...
>...catfight...
God dammit, Peter.
>>94059147
To video tape it peter.
>>94059147
>I'm so conflicted! Should I help the thief, or the person who just tried to murder me?
Or, you know, stop them both.
>>94059157
Peter you are probably the most capable of stopping this why would you even say that.
>>94059189
>"GET OFF ME!"

>>94059181
Phones were abysmal at this point in time.
>>94059204
He's thinking with his head and not the one housing his brain.
Nicely done. Peter is surprisingly good at thinking on his feet, or in this case while falling.
>>94058830
I do give out a fair amount of extra credit. Mostly it's when I walk into the room and see half the class missing. I used to just get angry but then I channeled that into giving out extra credit like candy. My students have completed a good number of quizzes where one of the problems is, "Draw a Happy Face" or tell me how much sleep you got last night. Or what I'll do is give them a pop quiz where every question you get right is a point added to an upcoming test.
Zero sympathy for this fat bastard. You don't get to crush someone's head to make a point and expect me to give a shit about your plight.
OH NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Also I hope everyone enjoyed this thread! Going to pick up later tonight around the same time.

Spider-Man's fights would end a lot quicker if he just started all of them by webbing his opponent's feet to the ground.
>>94059480
I think Peter likes purposely making his life harder than it needs to be.
>>94059405
thanks, OP
>>94059015
Yet he referenced Elektra at the beginning of the run right before Electro was introduced.
Never read this before, hope Black Cat gets more characterization. Always hated the "female character who commits minor crimes and gets off scott free because she's hot" archetype. Been really good so far, so I'm sure this arc will be good as well, just saying I'm not all that impressed with Black Cat so far. Thanks for storytiming this, anon, I heard good things about this but never got around to reading it.

>>94067832
That is exactly who I picture in my head. I like Josh Keaton but I always thought he sounded a tad older than Peter would sound. I really liked Christopher Barnes for an adult Peter in college as well as Neil Patrick Harris for another adult version of PEter. Drake Bell can suck it.
Rino Romano was interesting as Peter in the Spider-Man Unlimited show but I actually prefer his as a young Bruce Wayne. Roger Craig Smith was also a good choice for young Bruce and I feel they both bring something to the role.
>>94067997
Agreed on everything. Especially hearing Christopher Daniel Barnes or NPH when reading Ultimate Peter. I liked Rino Romano more in those PS1 Spider-Man games than on Spider-Man Unlimited.
>>94057573
Did JJJ ever get a redemption arc?
>>94068396
He actually did but it doesn't hap till much later. Like, at least fifty more issues.
If my calculations are correct, we're actually going to start Ultimate Six in tonight's thread.

>>94062107
how does she die. doesn't she become carnage or some bullshit?
>>94068396During and after Ultimatum
>>94070953
Carnage kills her, then clones her. They end up taking the clone to live with them when Reed says she's pretty much 100% Gwen. There was a subplot where that would have side effects but it was dropped just like the MJ has shaky hands subplot
I was so mad when Gwen died, I like Ultimate Gwen much more than 616 Gwen
Why can't Miles get any of this development? Ultimate Peter had tons of character and charm, his book was well written. Miles' book isn't. It feels rushed and pointless
Miles probably would've been great if he was written by this Bendis, and not current Bendis
>>94059524
That's Peter, alright.
BUMP!!!
