I am REALLY not getting why people are saying it looks cheap, the leather on Thor is vastly better then the plastic looking outfit from the 1st film.
The swords are colorful but looking at it in HD close up, they do look like actual metal.
I don't like that Val looks nothing like the comics, but its a perfectly serviable outfit.
Hela looks perfect aside from the possible lack of crown.
The groin lines are the only thing that is iffy on the outfit, same with the BVS Superman suit.

Hope Captain Marvel's suit is made from a similar textured leather as the Hela outfit & not cloth.

Thor isn't a huge selling character like Iron Man is, even Cap has become a pretty big seller (mostly due to having great movies, an advantage Thor doesn't have. at all.)

It's also Disney's fourth priority this year, behind GotG Vol. 2 (which might do a billion), Spidey (which needs to revive the brand), and Star Wars VIII (which will eat up every last marketing dollar)
If Disney has to choose between selling as many Thor tickets as possible in the 3 weeks before Justice League releases, or selling as many Star Wars tickets as possible, you know which one they'll do. Like them or hate them, TFA and Rogue One were popular, and a dollar spent on Star Wars probably goes further than one spent on Thor.

Also at $170M and a likely smaller marketing budget than, an Avengers film or Civil War, it doesn't need more than BvS. BvS NEEDED to make every dollar it did to offset the production budget, massive marketing, and set up the DCEU. Thor 3 is just another sequel.

I think that the sky is the limit for this movie. Doctor Strange made 650 and he's completely unknown. We have Thor, Hulk, Doctor Strange, and Loki. Plus it looks really fun and colorful. If the marketing is good, I could honestly see this making 900+ million.
