she better exchanges his G-card for her V-card
>Leo has a big "What would Teodora do?" moment in
the finale after becoming a ghost
>we get a flashback sequence featuring a lot of the ways Teodora helped the group with her wits and powers
>midway through she calls him an idiot
>it's not a particularly useful recollection, it's just a second of her calling Leo an idiot
I couldn't help but smile at that.
Lots of threads about this show lately.
I am just hearing about this show but I got you.
Thanks m8, also, watch it, it's pretty good
Legend Quest. So far it only seems to be on Netflix.
Only watched the first episode so far; it's alright, but people have told me it's also the roughest episode, so it might get better.
Teodora is bratty-cute as fuck, though.
I don't even watch this show but topkek
>no one mentions the Hecheceria
But she's SO GOOOOOD
>people have told me it's also the roughest episode, so it might get better.
Oh good. Just finished the first one and it sort of left me confused.
Just saw the first episode
I like the backgrounds and the two girls are cute and have good designs
The pet monster has too many colors and an overall weird design that clashes with his normal way of speaking
The jokes are not funny and genuinly nothing is exciting in the show, it also doesn't help when the voice acting is so mundane with the exception of the human girl, she's only okay
The only thing I can look forward to is fan art of Teodora I guess
Is it worth watching through the whole thing?
best things to come out of this show so far
Well, the monster HAS to be that colorful... you know... because Alebrijes are like that (if you google it), the first episode is kinda confusing but if you keep going you'll find out why everything happened the way it did
Movies 2 to 4 were incredibly boring and mediocre, and the first one is hands down one of the worst animated movies I have ever seen. Do yourself a favor and dont get near them. You miss absolutely nothing.
>tfw there's no wiki entry for Netflix's Legend Quest
>tfw the only Legend Quest entry is for a canned Syfy reality show
Now wishing somebody who's seen the first season would do a Wiki writeup
welcome to neo /co/ were quality and plot is overshadowed by how much porn can you get from the hot girl/animal(?) from any show.
She's not the love interest.
But she did mind meld with the love interest, inheriting all of her memories, so she could conceivably be the love interest if harems were allowed/they weren't separated by time and space
>Quetzalcoatl is back and he's PISSED
That's...an interesting plot. I think.
I mean, it could've been a thousand times better with capable hands. Given to Del Tacos or something, but...well. What we got is what we got.
If only it was on my country's catalog.... and even then I probably wouldn't look at it on Netflix, too afraid of family judging me looking at cartoons. As soon as I move out no more inhibitions
>Quetzalcoatl is back and
>this show is actually tricking people into enjoying ánima estudios content
jesus this is like a nightmare
just binged it all
here's what I took from it in a nutshell
overall, bad voice acting, bad jokes, sometimes bad tension
characters are annoying, not really likable
bad animation except for opening
girls have good design but are not worth watching for
story's telling of monsters and myths are well animated and drawn, very appealing to watch
voices and sound effects are sometimes too low when they are supposed to sound louder for added tension
also voices are sometimes are not at the best quality, very obvious they sound like they're in a booth recording which ruins immersion
3.meh ep, some tension in dream world, character development for knight,
4.some good jokes, interesting set up, decent tension, some actual development for the cast, best ep so far
5.decent episode, some development for leo to help his friends over his mission
6.boring episode, human girl now with them
8.ghost girl is a weeb, giant robots fighting giant monster, decent ep
9. decent ep, backstory for human girl
10. bad episode, leo is more so annoying when he's by himself
nothing amazing or great about this show, it really is a waste of time
We came for the grills, we stayed for the show.
If the show has no substance at all then we drop it.
>Neighbors from hell
These shows couldn't be saved even with their waifus
>it also doesn't help when the voice acting is so mundane with the exception of the human girl, she's only okay
Are you watching it in Spanish or English?
He said if you want to know more about the series, watch Legend of the Nahuala.
It's a movie that introduces Leo, Teodora, and the others, but the animation is a lot crappier than the series. But it's not required viewing since the Legend series has a different continuity than the Legend movies.
The girl is really cute, but the show itself is a welcome addition to the small pool of adventure cartoons that are currently around.
>But she did mind meld with the love interest, inheriting all of her memories, so she could conceivably be the love interest if harems were allowed/they weren't separated by time and space
She could always possess the love interest.
It just arrived on Netflix so it's to be expected.
What did you guys think about it?
Personally I started to look at it for the themes (fucking love monsters, ghosts and such) but overall I ended up enjoying it for a great amount of reasons.
the comedy felt flat sometimes and the pacing in general felt a bit weird, but I overall enjoyed the story and especially the last episodes were really good.
Especially liked the character though. They were all well crafted and balanced one another really well.
While I usualy agree with this sentence this show is a nice adventure cartoon that offers elements that you wouldn't find in any other cartoon airing at the moment, like a big focus on death, monsters and even religious figures as actual characters.
So I'd say while not the best, this show actually deserves the attention it's getting.
Next thing you know these losers are going to beg for free art of this generic looking garbage
>Is it weird that that somwhow makes her less appealing?
somewhere her unconscious body lays all defenceless
>Gets mad jelly over the MC crushing on gypsy cutie
>This is despite her knowing it could never happen between her and MC because timelines
Wasn't that hard for the gang to get her all alone in her hospital room
Okay, let me Hash this universe's rules out
>Ghosts are usually invisible unless there's a lot of paranormal activity to make them visible
>People can gain the ability to see ghosts if they're around the supernatural for even a short time in higher concentrations
>Mythical creatures have a perception filter over themselves to appear differently based on who's looking at them.
>More powerful beings such as the Jersey Devil and Quetzalcoatl don't have to follow the above rules
>Being in a Coma sends your ghost Back to the past to undo the future that is AKU
That sound about right to ya'll?
>this cartoon was made by a third world country.
>it's a /co/ finds yet another cute toon-ass thread.
I am going to be honest, I think, and I am almost certain, OP had made multiple threads of this cartoon because he really, really whats a torrent or Mega of it, but unfortunately, there seems to be nothing.
Makes me thing on all the cartoons from other countries we know nothing about, every time I see the lost media Wiki I say to me that is bullshit, there must be tons of lost media.
>TFW I went to /pco/ to find out if any lewds've been made yet only to discover that plus4 is fucking dead
Simon does not draw boobs Anon.
Remember how he made Pacifica as flat as Mabel? Know about Ruby Gloom? Know how curvy Iris and Ruby look? he made them like Holocaust survivors.
I mean guy knows how to do figure drawing, but is time to stop sucking his dong, no matter how long, thick and salty it may be.
Teodora already looks older than Star Butterfly so she MIGHT get pass.
It's uncertain with /aco/ now, though, since it's okay to request loli depending on the show for them.
He still /tries/ sometimes... well, it'd be nice if any popular artist drew her.
This is her original design from the movies.
Oh you mean the Aztec jesus that was an actually good god, that give to mankind the corn, risk his life at creating the world and literally he the only god that oppose to the human sacrifice.
Yeah... of all the gods they pick Quetzalcoat (god of wind and wisdom)
>Not Tezcatlipotla (god of night and warlocks)
>Not Tlaltecuhtli (ancient sea monster and goddess of earth)
>Not Mictlantecuhtli (god of the underworld)
My autism can't take this...
>Are the movies any good
They really are not any good, voice acting sucks and the animation is terrible even for flash standards.
>and if so where could I watch them?
Netflix but I really wouldn't recommend it. If anything, you are not missing anything that the show doesn't give you already.
They're bad to ok, in my opinion. You might be able to find them on piratesbay, but they don't have subtitles. I think there are downloadable subs for the first one floating around.
They address this in the first episode.
>well, it'd be nice if any popular artist drew her.
Ask around, make requests, either directly or in drawthreads. A snowball scarcely starts rolling on its own. Since this is only on Netflix, it's unlikely a lot of artists are seeing it simply because the other shows they give a fuck about can be watched for free elsewhere online.
>Spanish or English?
The japanese dub isn't bad. I'd go for that one for completely weaboo reasons.
She was a duchess and marquise in the movies. A witch was going to sacrifice her and two other girls in exchange for eternal youth and great power. Teodora got killed, with her soul remaining trapped in the witches house, but one of the girls escaped from the witch, and grew up to be Leo's grandmother.
In the second movie onward, she has a much more modern appearance that is never explained.
Jesus Christ how horrifying.
I didn't mind it, but I guess I'm just used to waifuing girls with annoying voices.
I didn't like them in the movies, it felt like they ate up too much screentime and their inclusion felt extraneous.
They're good in the show though. Actually useful, and have some connection to some larger force.
same>>90323092, not sure why they are there.
I like catrinas and sugar skulls but i don't see the point of them.
They are made by a guy or a couple of guys who want to see the episodes for free.
I have never ripped anything from tv or netflix before, how do people do it? what is the modern equivalent to a vcr?
She doesn't really like him like that.
Then why is she so jealous of the qt Gypsy?
It turned out she distrusted her because she was a witch, like Yaga Baba and Ni Gui. She and Marcella immediately got chummy when Teodora saw gypsy girl was on the level.
Maybe they maxed all their stealth points.
>It turned out she distrusted her because she was a witch, like Yaga Baba and Ni Gui. She and Marcella immediately got chummy when Teodora saw gypsy girl was on the level.
eh, I'm still gonna ship it
I can?! Okay, I'm listening...
So how it works is that someone get's their Netflix info stolen somehow, malware, email scams, etc, Then their details are sold online. Obviously it is illegal, but morally it's pretty solid since you're just piggybacking off them, especially if you don't have other options (though you are supporting identity fraud). If you want to pick one up you'll need TOR, which is an anonymity browser that let's you access the dark web, which is where similar shady stuff goes down. From there find a reputable site and seller, then exchange Bitcoin for Netflix. Good luck anon
>tsundere ginger ghost
Clearly you meant to say tsundere ginger astral projecting coma girl with a connection to a mysterious goddess and spiritual powers beyond that of a normal ghost that is constantly following around a hero from the past along with 2 cute mascot characters and a witch.
Of course not
is what they would say
You're in luck
thought they were just there for cheap laughs and was pleasantly surprised how they used them towards the end.
can't wait to see if we'll ever know why
La Muertesent them to our heroes.
true, but why she was the only deity to actually do something? I mean, we know the norse, latin, south american mithologyes are real and probably the christian/judaic ones too, why se was the only one that cared if the worl was going to end?
>why se was the only one that cared if the worl was going to end?
Let's look at the facts.
1. Jörmuncoatl's plan is to destroy his future incarnation to prevent it from coming into existence.
2. If the plan succeeds, he would use his powers to destroy the world, remake it in his image, and rule over it for eternity
3. If the plan fails, he would reincarnate and then immediately destroy the world and remake it in his infant mind's image
4. Jörmuncoatl is the creator god and presumably more powerful than any other deity that gives a fuck about earth
The Earth is absolutely fucked regardless, why would you even fuck with Jörmuncoatl in that situation?
There's also the matter of
5. Leo's prophecy is complete bullshit, but if you don't know that you would think he's got this shit handled and if you do you would think he's incompetent enough to fuck up before bringing the egg and dagger together anyway so why get involved when shit will work out either way?
Jörmuncoatl's plan was predicated on Leo having as much competence as Jörmuncoatl had knowledge of the future, ie just enough to fuck himself in the ass with it.
Catrina probably only got involved because she happened to time travel enough to know there was a third option that didn't involve destroying the world and possibly pissing off her boss.
No, the prophecy is 100% true.
"Only the Lion can Destroy the Serpent."
Leo is the destined one who can kill Quetzalcoatl. The bullshit part comes in three pieces:
The "can" part (note: not "will") which outright states that he doesn't have to, the fact that there's more than one "Serpent," and the implication that destroying that Serpent is inherently a good thing like the Brotherhood thinks.
Catrina herself encouraged him to use the Esfera to "defeat" Quetzalcoatl, not destroy him.
>No, the prophecy is 100% true.
Except he said he literally made it up. Fuck, it wasn't even going to be Leo destroying the serpent, it was going to be Jörmuncoatl puppeteering his body.
Yahweh had the Friar representing him
Norse guys don't give a damn about normies
Greeks are too busy getting drunk
Hindu deities think our current epoch is the worst age and must die to make way for a golden beginning to the next cycle.
Shinto spirits had
Ultraman Samuraicome in
>naked except for shoes
Truly the best type of nudity.
What do her feet even look like?
I could seriously get used to this look.
Leo's sitting in class when Teodora sneaks up behind him, as he's drifting off to sleep she reaches through his body to slowly stroke him from inside his trousers. He awakes, confused about the feeling when BAM, he cums down his pant leg with a whimper as to not arouse suspicion. Everyone turns to look at him as you hear "Weirdo" and "Leo's sleeping again..." Slowly she floats up between his legs, licking her fingers, savoring her spoils.
It is written, only Leo can defeat the serpent.
I just like that she isn't shy about liking Leo back
also did anybody find
her deathjust a little bit graphic for a kid's show?
La Catrina taught her how to astral project and sent her through the Tree of life portal it's literally inside her hospital room
Also, apparently peeps over on tumblr are hardcore shipping Marcella and Teodora
>did anybody find
her deathjust a little bit graphic for a kid's show?
But again this cartoon had various reference to people actually dieing, soldiers and foes being killed onscreen and various references to different religions.
So yeah, it was graphis but after a while I learned to expect the unexpected.
Heck, I think this is the first kids' cartoon that actually had me worried for the life of the main characters!
Really hope this thing gets a second season.
I want to know how is
Marcella's momdoing and if they'll Bring back Teodoraand especially HOW!
Speaking of wich, do you guys think Teodora could work in the show
without being a ghost?
>I think this is the first kids' cartoon that actually had me worried for the life of the main characters!
same here, I genuinely felt like the characters were in real peril
maybe Mexicans have a knack for that sort of thing
She's pretty smart so I think it would work without her being a ghost, also considering that the crew are in "good terms" with Fenrir, there might be a way to take her from her timeline
>Villain is Quetzalcoatl
>Keep thinking about the Shitty Dragon Maid Anime
>More specifically the Tittydragon seducing Leo
A pair of witches use
one of their friends as a human sacrifice to bring the Terracota Warriors to life to be used as an army of evil. Leo doesn't want to believe that their friend is dead, so he has an extremely reluctant Teodora go to her body to try and help while the rest of them distract the warriors. Teodora realizes that their friend really is dead, but her body is otherwise still in working order. So Teodora even more reluctantly possesses the corpse, takes control of its arms, and has the body give itself CPR while she tries to force its lungs to work. When it begins to take effect, she has to undergo through this really intense first-person flashback sequence that details their friend's tragic life (what's really cool here is that every time their friend's heart starts to beat,it causes a smash cut to another scene, and as the heartbeat gets stronger, the smash cuts get faster), but a side-effect of ghost possession is that it lets the native soul of the body (if any) meld minds with the intruder, so we get to see some of Teodora's own memories mixed into the sequence. With their friend revived, her soul that was powering the stone warriors gets snapped back into her body, robbing the army of life and causing them to crumble into dust.
>the crew are in "good terms" with Fenrir,
>implying that Fenrir will ask for simething impossible for a favor
>Fenrir, the world eater and one of the most dangerous monsters that can bring the Ragnarök just by free him from his chains.
in the second season fenrir will put a trap to be free and he will be the next quetzalcoalt.
mark my words
You have a point, but
How is it impossible if
He's literally next to Yggdrasil, and the crew already used the tree to travel through timealso The Catrina could help her again if she's needed againBut I'm not saying you don't have a fair point
I am the source, I don't know how else to beg for episodes
Thanks anyway, anon, we will get those downloads someday!
>all these teodoras in this thread
all of you who contributed are fucking gods
actually i was just thinking for all my non US anons what about the kodi app that lets you stream movies and shows
since everyone in the states are buying and hacking amazon firesticks just to be able to get free movies and shows
I honestly don't know how it is in y'all country but its the only thing I can think of
In what sense?
How about when we look at Japan that gets 100+ shows a year, while the west gets 2/10 that and even then their quality isn't all that great.
When was the last time the west had a serious romance series or action series aimed at an older audience? How many threads like this where the show is eh at best but people talk about it just for the cute girl cause we have so little to go off of.
>implying gringos can even try to pronounce those name
By quality, do you mean the animation? Western animation makes things cartoony on purpose. Japan pumps out lots of anime each year, that's true, but that doesn't mean they're all that great either. Possibly even at lest 9 out of those 100 are actually good. Also, who the hell watches cartoons for serious shit?
Hmm, not very active lately, I just deliver things in different boards. Mostly /co/.
Buttt here is my DA! I'm about to give it a big, well-deserved update in some days:
And I can't wait for /pco/ to be back!
also, you wanna take a shower but this appears, what do?
Deviant I haven't actually used my account in forever
its not that I really wanna draw her I just can't think or find a pose that would work for her
>be from hueco mundo
>watch the show
>it's actually ok
>ghost girl is fucking great
I really hope this show marks the start of an era of good mexican
Maybe that's what was throwing me off since I've never drawn a ghost before
Sorry for killing your drive (?) but if it helps, don't think about the poses TOO much... at least not when it's just pin-ups.
I don't know the character
besides the shitty moviesso I'm drawing whatever pose comes to my mind. Or just any pose that comes up.
See? This is a nice one!
Gah damn, never saw the appeal in edits like these but now I've seen the light
Looks great so far, man
So, those little devils that popped up in the Terracotta warriors ep, what was their deal.
Also kinda bummed they classified the Tsukumogami as an all evil race (They're described as more of pranksters than soul eating monsters, unless they were needlessly thrown away or broken)
It was trueee
I don't know how to thank him but OH BOY
I found it in some spanish forum:
The resolution is low and at the beginning of the episode that asshat who ripped it put his name in the corner.
Tried to think of something to draw for like an hour, but nothing's coming to me. Didn't wanna just go straight for the lewd or pinuppy route.
Why the fuck bother then, eh?
But eh, here, have the only draft that made it past the head. Does she ever take off her little jacket?
If anyone else has any ideas, I could maybe draw it. No promises.
She looks really adorable here, very nice drawing.
Don't have big ideas but maybe Teodora taking a selfie with her hair down? Or posing alongside a creepy monster like she doesn't care.
>Does she ever take off her little jacket?
Nice drawing, but technically no. Probably to save money, the production team chose to have her be dressed in her usual clothes
despite being in a hospital bed and showing her in a hospital gown in the style shifted animated sequence.
Y'know, I really wish that Leo had some way to defend himself.
like 90% of the time he's in dangerous situations and he never thinks "Huh, maybe I should get a weapon to defend myself"
I don't care if it's just a fucking shovel, give the poor kid a way to keep his ass from getting murdered
He's a resourceful, (mostly) smart, and agile kid. Kind of like a Guybrush Threepwood if Guybrush had a massive stick up his ass and too little sleep.
>Makes me thing on all the cartoons from other countries we know nothing about
Because other countries are faggots that dont like the idea of local animated productions available in internet. I remember Pumpkin Report fanbase died because the producer send C&D letters to everybody.
Compare how easy is get Japanese anime in internet meanwhile local cartoons fade into obscurity.
>literally at the start of 1st episode
>"I got you jew-lio"
I am a super slowpoke, but here's the rough draft so far.
At least 15 minutes was spent rationalizing her weird shoes.
I actually wanna finish this picture with lineart and all. So in the event that either I decide I to sleep, or the thread dies before I'm done, I'll toss it in the drawthread.
pretty good looks better then mine
i'm stuck on her hand
Ok, yes, she's very cute.
LOVE IT! Thank you so much for drawing her.
>spinoff that takes place in the modern day, with Teodora being the human
I wouldn't mind a spin-off about Teodora's past life, with her friends and all that.
Or maybe having lesbian adventures with the gipsy girl.
Or a show about Alebrije and his crazy adventures, he's a cool guy. Still hated him in the movies.
When we get rebooted Kika and Valentina.
Did the 4th movie have a new girl too? Seems like it's a trend in those movies to introduce a new loli like they do with every season of pokemon.
I need that.
Also I kinda wanna see how they'd redesign Kika, she was ugly in the movies but
so was Teodora
How come Teo's redesign was so drastic in comparison to the other characters tho?
I don't shitpost, I just tell the truth.
>How come Teo's redesign was so drastic in comparison to the other characters tho?
Don Andres and Alebrije look pretty different too. Don didn't have a tumblr nose, and was more...lumpy looking. Alebrije looked more like a dragon (and even got mistaken as such by Don Andres in the first movie.) Teodora's outfit looks much more simplified, but other than that she didn't really change that much. The sugar skulls look more stylized now, and Friar Godfreydo had a much different face.
Forgot my picture.
Now Don Andres looks like an old guy from a Disney movie, and Alebrije looks like some colorful kangaroo.
Well, it's implied in the show that Leo and friends still went on all those adventures shown in the movies, just with certain characters not present and certain features omitted (like Father Godofredo giving him missions).
So we could see her a little more grown up in Season 2 since a few years have passed since then.
>How come Teo's redesign was so drastic in comparison to the other characters tho?
They changed her backstory significantly, so with that came a lot of leeway in how she'd be redesigned. They just had to have her retain her fierceness and femininity and they'd be golden; make her look simultaneously anachronistic, but not too out of place. Besides her skirt length, her outfit doesn't look all that unusual for the times she's in: it's just a jacket, dress, ribbon, earrings, belt, and boots.
SHADMAN, WE SUMMON THEE. LEND US THY HAND SO THAT WE MAY HAVE FUTANARI.
I felt that it wanted me to know quite a bit about the history and myths of Central America. If you read the Netflix synopsis it kind of explains all you need to know about the character. Other stuff is left to be discovered, which is part of the fun. But I get what you're saying.
Took my sweet damned time with it. But, here ya go anon. Hope ya like it!
While you people from successful countries can watch the shows normally, he can't watch the show (that same show doesn’t air in his country) because he lives in a country that experiences the privatization, that was communist before, that felt the smoke of war, where majority of people are middle class (low class compared to your middle class) who watch maybe 12 channels in their language. I will not tell you about the content they consume. Majority of them are backwards minded.
There was a circumvention before. It was VPN. But when Netflix listened to MAJOR ultrarich production companies to block VPNs, now what? He will pirate it. But then you will shun him because he is a poor pirate with your "muh morals, muh copyright" and calling him a subhuman because he lives in a third world country. Oh yeah, you must be 18 to visit the site, because ALL underages are retards.
>Make a Teodora request in the drawthread
>It gets deleted
this is why drawthreads are no fun anymore
well, she's supposed to look like la chimltrufia so she's gonna look fucking horrible.
Ghosts get to keep paraphernalia they had on them when they died and it works just as well as it did back when they were alive like Don Andres' armor and the Ghost Romans' weapons. It might also be a magic thing like how Medusa's petrifying gaze still functions even after she died.
Finally finished it. Wow, this show definitely gets better in the second half. Episode 9 in particular when
Teo finds out that Marcella died and when they merge mindswas probably the best part of the show for me.
You know, what I'm looking forward to the most about this show becoming available outside of Netflix through the usual unofficial outlets is that those that were intrigued by Theodora's design alone will be happy to find out that she's also a pretty great character
It's decent, definitely better than Trollhunters. The best part for me is Teodora- and not for waifu reasons, believe it or not. I found her arc and the revelation of her backstory to be the most captivating part of the show.
