I had a bad day. I had a depressing talk with my grandmother where I basically told her that I am incapable of providing any sort of emotional support or affection, being damaged as I am. She lives alone. I live alone. She is sick. She knows I am a ruin but doesn't and must not know how deeply damaged I am, but she caught glimpses of it through the years. She knows I value absolutely nothing and don't care about anything because I am dead inside, and she told me

This is correct, yet it shook me up a bit. This was a pure emotionless statement, an accurate observation without malice. After a moment of painful silence the first thing I started to talk about was the japanese custom of seppuku, and proceeded to detail it. This did not help.

Why does shit like this always happen on Christmas? Last year I almost ended up homeless. Now she is sick (heart problems) and I basically told her that I am both unable and unwilling to help her in any capacity. I can barely keep myself functioning and I am so very, very tired. My family is not a family, my parents divorced when I was little. My dad is her son. I do not communicate with him and he doesn't communicate with her. I am technically all she's got and I'm a fucking mess, I cannot help myself and I cannot alleviate her loneliness and despair in any way. Her life now is one of isolation and memories of the past. The past I'd like to forget and she can't let go. I am completely and utterly wretched and I know I'm evil, yet I cannot be good and I cannot help her. I do not believe I am capable of watching her die. She was always so strong, so manipulative, so shrewd. Her actions were like some Game Of Thrones shit and yet she taught me so much in all the wrong ways, and now I cannot bear to see her suffer and yet a part of me rejoices. Please God kill me and end me.
