The terror before the tinsel
The horror before the holy night
The scares before santa
Post spooky, this spook train don't stop until saint nick exorcises it!
Twas the spooking before Christmas
And all through the thread
Were a bunch of Anons
Fapping to the undead
well, hopefully it's more than just jerking off
Time to choose your favorite girl again /co/.
>thread is already an image dump and muh Elsa
>4 days of this
Just saying, we need Calcium to stay strong for the Christmas. Skeleton talk, anyone?
Spooky skeletons. Wrong day maybe, but whatever.
And wait for it to get worse? Let's face it, we're beating a rotting horse at this point. Sure Herny or Lynx might draw a thing or two, but these threads have lost the novelty and it's only going to get worse.
Now seriously, are they skeletons or not? Could be that they are just wooden dolls like the other characters, painted like skeletons.
But I prefer my skele girls to be a bit boney, so flesh on their ribs looks weird to me.
>You will never have IRL Susie as your gf
>Even if you do, she probably wouldn't have the same personality as Susie
>my spirit when
What's the name of the cosplayer anyway?
Remember that we already got best spooky waifu
Both her and Tanis could use some more love.
Their bodies are made of sugar.
The theme of the Land Of The Remembered is everything is colorful and delicious. A major part of the celebrations of the Day of the Dead is eating skulls and even whole skeletons made of hardened sugar.
Contrast with Xibalba's realm, where the people look like actual skeletons.
Also remember that calacas are supposed to look like skeletons, but stylistically are given features like hair directly on the bones, or skin-features as needed. They're not outright skeletons.
Before vore comes to mind, remember that you can make that sugar stuff so hard it's practically a fucking brick that'll take fucking weeks to dissolve even submerged in water. Plus, y'know, magic I guess. Since they're actually eating food and drinking in the afterlife I imagine they're like sugar concrete.
They had to rip the roster from one of the biggest ever for a fighting game into a really, really small sampling designed to appeal to fetishes and get the basic combat styles when they realized how expensive it was going to be, then even more when they lost their dosh and had to beg fans for more.
Supposedly they're going to add more of the planned ones to Skullgirls 2 if it ever gets made, and reuse the assets from the first game.
Pronounced like "designer" with a lisp.
Good night anon. While I am heading to sleep, I will remind you that goths can have happy christmas, so, I find this months ago.
but Germaine is adorable when she isn't Psychotic and/or Depressed(admittedly that covers a relatively small percent of NY, but still), which is one of many reasons why I'm still pissed at the creator for what he did with the new season
thank you anon. that was outrageously cute.
Needs Morticia and Wednesday Addams (the Addams Family was originally a comic, remember).
Also Lily Munster.
the skeletons are calaveras (made of wood) the humans are wooden dolls, la muerte was a sugar skull
while calaveras generally refer to sugarskulls, they can be made of other things, and its just decorated skulls. the world of the dead calaveras are more like Catrina than a snack
i guess you can argue one way or another either way, but the dead in the movie are made of something representing bones, and la muerte is made of solid white sugar candy
It doesn't need to be anything big.
Phanty wearing a Kylo Ren helmet and being all autistic with a toilet paper roll lightsaber, or Sibella and Winnie arguing over Rey being marysue or not.
It was really that good, or /co/ only likes it for the waifus?
It's slightly below average, but so what. Scooby Doo movies are just fun, I'll happily watch Boo Brothers...or even the god damn Reluctant Werewolf. It doesn't matter how mediocre they are, they are still enjoyable and have personality.
and GOAT waifus
don't forget about winniequest guy's continuing adventures!
phanty quest I just concluded and we're starting on sibella quest. phanty quest got really dark and sad and hardboiled, sibellaquest is basically devil may cry
Witches are spooky right?
Can't you people at least post girls that are still alive?
Been trying to get some themes for the girls
So far I've got these
Anyone got anything else to add to the list?
i don't think i have any, actually
I think we need to dig deeper into the legends of old. Like huldra's.
you went to /v/ and walked right past Squiggly.
Thank you, anon
Wasn't the entire point of that bit where she turns hot basically "Yeah I might look hot but really I'm still just a crazy asshole still"?
So even if my penis wants to, I wouldn't.
I've always wanted to see a story about a monster girl falling in love with a human boy but is just so damn terrifying to behold that she struggles to get close to him.
One day I'll see it down.
Zombie Tramp is /co/ but no one likes her and her threads die so..
"IT'S THE APOCALYPSE!" Tanis screamed through the school, running in random directions as fast as her undead legs could scramble. "Apophis awakes! Ra is slain! Pestilence and famine will-"
"Woah, hold it there twerp, what's got your bandages in a bunch?" Winnie had been the first ghoul to happen across Tanis' panicked tirade and halted her with a simple palm held against the mummy's face.
"Winnie! Winnie come look, it's awful! The sky is raining down cold ashes! The heavens are aflame!"
"....That's just snow, dummy."
"Snow? What's snow?"
"Snow, it's what happens when it's winter out," Winnie explained with a shrug. This was Tanis' first Christmas at Grimwood so Winnie and the older students would have to explain a lot of holiday traditions to her. Starting with Tanis' first snowfall; being the first girl awake every morning Tanis had been the first to get to the frosted school window and see the freshly fallen blanket of white powder and, predictably, panicked.
Then a thought popped into Winnie's still-groggy brain that woke her up better than any morning cup of coffee could. "Hey, Tanis, come quick!" Winnie exclaimed with glee, grabbing a clawful of her friend's bandages and tearing off through the school dragging Tanis behind her.
"Here, here watch this!" Winnie grinned as she pressed her nose up against the glass of the window overlooking the school graveyard. In the middle of the weather-worn and decayed headstones was a solitary grave marker kept in pristine condition bearing the name 'Phantasma'.
"What are we watching...?"
"Just wait," Winnie hushed her, waiting patiently. All was silent, peaceful, the fat snowflakes drifting lazily down to join the blanket of frost gathering on the cemetery soil. "Any minute now..."
A piercing shriek rattled the school's windows.
"COOOLLLLLD!" Phantasma screamed, flying up out of her grave in nothing but her sleeping shroud and long dangly nightcap. She hopped from bare foot to bare foot, "EEeeeeColdcoldcoldcold!"
>Phanty will never be something weird sleeping in my bed and make me bust
How about Sibella getting caught in the middle of another of her siblings' debates?
Japan is only /a/ if its anime.
The Bakeneko is a cat that grows so old its tail begins splitting. It gains magical powers like resurrecting the dead, turning into a human, casting spells, and being able to talk to anything regardless of language, cosmic state, or sentience at will. They're good or evildepending on their personality as a housecat/feral cat, and how humans have treated them. The default personality is a man-eater who fucks with villages due to being jaded from decades of mistreatment and hostility from humans. There's a story about one who's just an old laxy tom teaching a young man magic.
To recap; if your cat lives a long time, they'll become a werecat wizard.
Sibella stared at her list. Every name had been crossed off one by one as she had found, bought and wrapped each present and placed it under the school Christmas tree occupying the study hall. All but one, the last on her list, "Cadet Roper."
She sighed and flipped over another page on her notepad, writing "SIBELLA'S WISH LIST" at the top, and stared hard at that blank space too. "A kiss," she wrote, pouted, and scratched it out just as quickly. This was supposed to be a shopping list for Daddy, one of her sisters would be swinging by the school that evening to pick it up. With the vast fortunes of the Dracula estate there was almost nothing she couldn't ask for. But it wasn't material things that Sibella craved...
"A kiss," she wrote again a second time, and smiled at the thought of it. Roper would be at the fireplace in the Calloway Academy sporting lodge wearing a smart looking Christmas sweater, enjoying a hot cup of eggnog or whatever it was humans drank. She would come in from the cold and he would take her chilly hands in his and...
"Ahem," Sibella jolted upright in her chair, suddenly aware that she wasn't alone. Her older sister Elizabeth Dracula-Bathory stood opposite her, grinning down knowingly, and Sibella threw her hands over her embarrassingly short list of Christmas wishes far too late.
"Oh don't be upset, I think it's adorable," Elizabeth purred with amusement. "Not the sort of thing you'd want to ask Santa for though. And a bit of a waste, considering."
"Considering what?" Sibella asked, recovering from her temporary mortification.
"Considering how easy it would be to steal a kiss from your human plaything. You've heard of mistletoe, haven't you?"
"Sure," Sibella cautiously nodded, familiar with the custom, "but a silly holiday ornament isn't going to change his mind about vampires."
"Ah, that's because you aren't using the good stuff!" Elizabeth intoned, her eyes lighting up.
Elizabeth reached into her shopping bags and rummaged through them, eventually producing a sprig of wild-grown mistletoe braided into a traditional kissing-bough design. "Here, you have it little sister. You look like you need it more than I do. We'll just tell the rest of the family that you got your present early this year, hmm?"
"Ah, what is it-?" Sibella asked cautiously. Her sisters had their fingers in many unscrupulous pies and she'd learned never to trust them blindly.
"Just as the legends go, my dear. This is True Mistletoe, cut from the plant that felled a norse god. Hang this up, and when you meet the object of your desire beneath it he'll be compelled to give you the biggest, wettest kiss you can imagine. Watch your fangs!"
Sibella regarded the little festive ornament on her desk and felt a stirring of hope inside her breast. Her heart fluttered, which was a rare sensation considering it usually didn't beat at all. "Thank you!" she gushed, rising to give her sister a hug.
"Be careful with that, mind you," Elizabeth cautioned, and Sibella nodded quickly. After completing their hug Elizabeth turned to stride off into the snow-filled night. "I must be off I'm afraid, I have more shopping to complete before I catch my flight back to Romania. Ta-ta!"
"Merry Christmas!" Sibella waved after her. As soon as Elizabeth had gone she picked up the mistletoe and turned it over in her elegant fingers again and again. Oh yes, Christmas miracles do come true after all, or they would anyway with a little clever planning on her part. Now at last she had just the thing to give to the dashing Cadet Roper.
From the look of her skin and her personality, I'd say Fangora would be full-blooded vampire spawn of Dracula.
I've always had this idea that many vampires would adopt the name Dracula just to sound imposing/impressive to outsiders, but have no actual affiliation to the supreme undead patriarch.
Since Universal, Hammer and countless independant studios realized what a cash-cow the Dracula name is and began spinning off an endless "Son of" and "Daughter of" sequels-in-name-only.
Naw, the Wolfman (Lawrence Talbot) was not any longer-lived than a normal human and didn't want to spread his curse either. Universal studios also didn't make as many sequels and spin-offs with the Wolfman franchise so as far as I'm aware there are no "Son of the Wolfman" movies. Hammer Horror also never remade "The Wolfman", although they did do other werewolf movies.
My Ghoul School universe uses a sort of "Teen Wolf" mythology for Winnie, if that's what you were asking.
Well it's not really *my* thread, so I was not trying to derail it. Plus, hasn't everyone seen those by now?
Oh, I should mention though that if any of you are following the Ghoul Quest game I've been running on /tg/ and were disappointed to see it wasn't on this past weekend, I'm taking a break as most people are currently distracted by exams/holidays/new years, but I intend to return Jan 1st. In the mean time, if you'd like to be placed on a mailing list to get updates when the new threads are happening, send an email to [email protected]
Ugly American did it better.
>Sibella looks worried and not incredibly turned on
Most of tye Belmonts had sex with witches or Alucard. The rest were usually Alucard's buddies.
Leon is the only one who'd be strange to husbando. He made a job out of killing monsters and heretics even before the Dracula business, and swore all his descendants would kill all aupernatural beings.
Then his grandson hung out with a pirate and Dracula's son, then married a witch before hanging out with Dracula's foster son who literally created monsters for a living.
The actual reason I'm not using twitter currently is that I don't believe I have that many people playing in my Quest to make it worthwhile. I don't use twitter currently and I'm not interested in opening an account if I'm just telling the same 10 people that I'm opening a thread. I'd also like to get contact info for players as I'm considering setting up a Ghoul School game using the "Wandering Monster High School" rules and could potentially invite interested parties to play in a game with multiple PCs instead of everyone direction the actions of a single Cadet Anon.
>mfw counting down the days until the 31st.
You feel it too, don't you?
"Whaddya mean you cancelled the Christmas party?" Phantasma cried out aghast at Col. Calloway's insensitivity.
"Miss Phantômas, please calm yourself. The cadets will still have their allotted holiday study break. I just decided that the budget for the party would be better served funding a small and completely voluntary field expedition instead. R&R is R&R however you slice it, and the boys would benefit far more from a weekend of winter camping than yet another dance party. I am training soldiers here miss, not socialites."
"B-but-but-but... this isn't just some dance party, this is CHRISTMAS!" Phantasma pleaded with the surly headmaster. "The cadets should be opening presents by the fire and singing carols and eat fatty foods, not freezing to death in a snow bank."
"As I said, Phantasma, and the decision is already made. We're departing at 0600 tomorrow morning, so if you and your cohort have gifts to exchange I suggest you do it before Last Post."
Colonel Calloway turned and sat stiffly in his desk chair to resume double-checking the itinerary for tomorrow's expedition, only to find Phantasma superimposed on top of his desk and having picked up the garb of a 19th century British street urchin.
"Pwease suh, pwease rayconsidduh. Where's yuh bloomin' Christmas spirit, wot wot?"
"I believe I'm looking at her. And she'd best vacate from Academy grounds before I fetch the sanctified salts and holy water."
Phantasma frowned and glared back at the Colonel's practiced scowl for only a moment before she flinched and backed off. She drifted towards the nearest wall, choosing as always to make as dramatic an exit as possible. She paused just before disappearing, pointing a skinny finger at Calloway and giving him the most ominous scowl of her own (or at least the best she could muster on such short notice.)
"Take heed, Calloway! Tonight you shall be visited upon by THREE CHRISTMAS SPIRITS! They will show you~"
"Get OUT Phantasma!"
That's Nofre from Die Schule der kleinen Vampire. She only appears in one episode though.
Its a quest on /tg/, or rather a series of five quests. Questguy has described it as a pseudo/League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. We play as five different anons, one for each ghoul in a universe where they're all granduated and living their lives, through five different multi-part quests. First part was Winnie Quest which started during spooky threads and moved to /tg/ and we just wrapped up the excellent Phanty Quest pt.I. If you go on the archives of/tg/, Sibella quest should still be there, where you will find archives of the other two quests. Lots of unique created lore and Hanna Barberra Cameos are there to be found.
Being PQAnon is suffering
So long as QuestGuy finds a way for us to earn EXP on the other quests similar to how we will be doing SibellaQuest, I will be okay with everything. We got to ditchs some of those terrible negatives.
>not liking spidergirl
what's is like having terrible taste?
fortune cookie :^)said that I'd have "an enchanting evening next full moon" Christmas is a full moon
Just say this earlier, but, merry christmas anons (the art is from the new drawthread)
is she allowed? she may not be spooky, but she is a werewolf and, in this pic, festive
Do it mother fucker! Make /co/ proud!
>she's a werewolf
If by werewolf you mean donut steel sparkle dog.
Hey I've put my money on the table but Herny has said he's taking a break from Ghoul School stuff for a few months at least. I don't want to pester him so he's going to finish up an Elsa pic he's working on currently and then I'll give him space, maybe offer again in the spring.
In the mean time, I'm approaching some new artists about picking up the torch. I still have plenty of money I'm ready to drop on Ghoul School art, it's just a matter of finding the right artistic talent who can capture the spirit of the characters.
No, I'm not joking
I know a lot about dead bodies, if that's what you mean. But I've never seen a ghost and embalming work is mostly just really low-stress surgery.
However, I've been watching 3 horror movies a week, every week, for the past 6 years. It's part of a horror movie streaming group I joined a little after getting out of college. So I do have a broad body of knowledge about horror tropes and characters to draw upon when I'm writing Ghoul School stuff.
She is super hot, but unfortunately I've never actually seen the Baskervilles and it's approaching "lost media" status since nobody seems to have recorded the episodes in order for us to upload them. If someone could show me a torrent of the show though, I'd probably be interested enough to buy some art of her. But for now I'd rather buy Ghoul School stuff.
Yeah I'm not sure what that is either... I think it's a businessman hanging around a dumpster?
Anyway, it doesn't pay THAT good, but I'm smart with my money and I don't have any expensive habits; don't smoke or drink, don't play consoles, limit myself to a couple PC games a year. Most of my entertainment comes from my own writing, which is pretty damn cheap, so that money can be put towards freelance artists.
There you go. 10 minutes in is where her family appears.
The premise was pretty bad, a lot like one of the Saturday Morning cartoons on lesser channels. Jimmy Two Shoes relying on dry retorts and unflappable cheery characters in grim situations.
Wasn't bad in any way, but there's nothing really of value either besides /co/'s fixation. Solid mediocre.
They couldn't get away with any actual supernatural for the network, so the premise is like Jimmy Toe-shoes where they skirt around it.Unfortunately, they handled it very hamfistedly.
The "devil" is a lunatic who thinks he's the devil and built a theme park around the idea of putting people in hell, becomes obsessed with breaking an ultra-nice family barring the 90's kid daughter. Everyone is just an actor.
But then when they get that out of the way, they act like legit monsters in every way. Fuck, a walking skeleton will point out he's just a robot then be a skeleton for the rest of the episode.
Well to be fair the show couldn't decide what it was.
They kept throwing the idea of them just being actors in costume, or monsters and undead just being robots, every episode to get past censors then immediately dropped it.
So do you people have an imgur album or some collection of all the Ghoul School girl pictures, or is this something that has to be remedied with a good heaping helping of "LURK MORE FAGGOT" and archive binging?
alas, my spooky waifu, I was only able to get one pic of you.
welp, there's always next year.
Toonspew keeps an archive of his own work, but the rest is on the /co/ booru and spread over DeviantArt and tumblr. So... I guess not much of a central repository.
Yeah, I know. Sad isn't it? I ought to commission some....
Seeing this for the first time in years, made me remember that this was one of the first things that I saw that I had sexual attraction towards.
Her (specifically in ghost form), Ursula from a Little Mermaid book my cousin had (no idea why, but them tits man), and Uma Thurman in Batman and Robin.
No wonder I'm fucked up.
Nice to see you here, Lynx. 'Tis the season for more Sally?
perhaps! I just finished a long string of commissions. I wanted to do a couple of holiday themed pictures for my own characters, but maybe I can fit in a Sally sketch here and there.
no more fucked up than the rest of us mate!
Working hard, eh? Glad to see it. Finally something comes out from drawing for deviants on the internet.
I'll just sit here and cross my fingers for Santa to deliver a Christmas miracle, then.
I rewatched it during the October threads and quit after rocket cabin. The whole thing is bad puns and evil plans that go nowhere. I have no idea how anything even works in this fucking movie, it's complete garbage. It really does feel more like a movie for little kids, though as a kid I just watched for the cute girls.
I like the theory that it's just a VR dream sequence from the Cyber Chase movie.
Phew! I didn't have to commission him to draw her.
So /co/ I have a comic on the backburner i plan on posting online. I've got the first chapter completely written/sketched out, but the premise boils down to girl in a town that has spooks creeping in every shadow, she's done something to upset them, and the town doesn't want to let her leave. That's the bare bones of it, but in you guys' opinion, what would benefit the comic to make it creepy?
I know artisitc quality is a factor (one reason i haven't gone through with it yet, I want to better my work first). But what sends chills down a hardened /co/nspirator's spine? what would be some horror tropes to look at and what would be ones to avoid?
The witches in this thread have a particular lack of it; Phanty actually has ten times as many images on the Booru as Melusine or even Wuya.
Hell, even Elsa has as many images as either of them and nobody cares about Elsa.
Skullboy is best boy
You can't even begin to comprehend how wrong you are.
Susie could play catcher for me any day of the week
