I've said it many times before, for like 80% of batman's appearances, he's the least interesting thing on screen/paper. Without his villains, he is just an overly grumpy cunt with more money than he knows what to do with and doesn't come off as a hero.

So the strength of a given batman movie usually relies on the strenght of the villains, which is a shame, because Leto is a good actor, but he's a cunt, and he doesn't get the Joker at all, compared to his most relevant appearances. It's like he based it off of the edgelord 9gag posts that came after Ledgers, who was not at all a comics-faithful approach to the character in the first place.
