A second season that focuses more on the plot of trying to restore the protective barrier around San Lorenzo.
Oooh, neat. I can't get Netflix right now, so I hope it's up for download/stream.
On one hand, they'd have a tough time explaining Clover's absence, as well as Maurice's feelings towards Julien being different between the show and the movie.
On the other hand, they went through the trouble of fleshing out minor characters from Julien's kingdom to have consistency, so I dunno.
Dulcinea being baffingly naive was a weird thing that they pushed for a couple of early episodes and then dropped in favor of just being overly nice (assuming Jack wasn't around to be a shit).
Which was for the best, they already had an entire set of orphan children to fill the role of naive exposition bait. I guess you could justify it as Dulcinea being sheltered from spending most of her time before the series behind the magic protective dome and just adapting quickly after it disappears.
I personally like the dynamic between Dulcinea and Puss more than Kitty Softpaws in general. She's not bad or anything, but she just feels too much like a female copy of Puss.
I wish they'd put more care into unifying the artstyle of the Netflix show though, it's creepy as fuck seeing the cartoony major characters mingling with terrifying Shrekling children and townsfolk, and there's really no excuse for two cat characters who interact constantly to have a different finger count.
The show has almost nothing to do with either. He mentions the events of the Puss in Boots movie a few times but its one of those blink and you'll miss it moments.
It seemingly takes place before he meets Shrek so the movies have no baring on this.
Yeah, unlike King Julien, The Adventures of Puss in Boots is pretty much totally self-contained. It probably works better to just think of it existing outside of the Shrek canon, in fact.
Also, I just caught up and that second Pig Brothers episode had no right being as hilarious as it is. I guess it's just the ultimate proof that Toby's terribleness is just dragging everyone else down.
I thought it just opened up the evil within someone.
Dulcinea likes Puss so I'd think the sword would release any inhibitions she would have to jumping his bone on the mountainside.
I know what kind of replies you expect.
But I'll try to be 100% srs and say she is a fictional feline-based creature, and not a normal cat, therefore she can be anything.
The show isn't popular in porn circles. It has nothing to do with the character. Rule 34 isn't absolute and not every character gets drawn in equal measure. Hell, Ebvert - one of the few people to draw something for both Puss in Boots and All Hail King Julien - said he had more fun drawing Dulcinea.
But he's into feral stuff, so I wouldn't expect him to keep drawing either show.
>The show isn't popular in porn circles.
Netflix Dreamworks shows in general aren't popular. Everyone just dismisses them as throwaway cash-ins.
In some cases, they aren't wrong, though.
If I'm Puss I'm staying in San Loranzo with Dulcinea. She's a teacher and seems very homely. She only downside to her is that she's likely a virgin and has no idea what she's doing in bed.
Puss in Boots is getting two more full seasons, perhaps more. A recent interview said 78 episodes were in production, but since that interview was last week, it's possible 78 more episodes are in production bringing the total to 104.
Either way, that's a good chunk of episodes.
They made a deal for 12 shows and 900 hours, so it's pretty sure at least everything is getting at least two season.
There are storyboards, but good luck deciphering anything from them.
A lot of storyboard artists surprisingly can't draw very well.
She's bound to be in one of these. Maybe.
Dulcinea is a reference to Don Quixote. It's the "name" of the "noblewoman" the main character believes is his true love in his delusions. In all actuality, she's just some random peasant lady named Aldonza who he's never talked to and probably doesn't even know he exists.
Storyboard artists tend to be hired for their ability to quickly frame a shot and convey a general tone over technical skill, since storyboards aren't really supposed to be seen outside of development. That's not to say there aren't artists who draw meticulous storyboards, but it's not a prerequisite, especially not for a CG show where you don't have to worry about the characters being drawn off-model during animation.
The really rode that joke about milking her last season.
I will admit that first episode when she passes out from milking was erotic in a sense that I was aroused mentally but not physically. Is that what its like to have a fetish.
He leaves her and realizes he made a colossal mistake which makes him repress everything and becomes a crappy sword for hire?
He died when he left Lorenzo, he's just waiting for his boy to stop moving.
His loss. Puss might have become afraid of women. He chases that which he cannot have. He could've fucked the hell out of Pajuna or the Sphinx (she's no doubt as lonely as Callista) by now...maybe he has erection problems, and chases the one chick who won't fuck due to being brainwashed into seeing sex as wrong (or in a hilarious twist for potential rule 34, also has a penis) to keep up his image as a healthy male.
I still think Dulcinea will remain behind when the spell eventually gets fixed. Since the town is hidden, there will be no proof of its existence. People won't believe that Dulcinia is real.
It's cute in it's own way, but I disagree with the extent of your statement.
Who cares, just watch the movie and the show. They're both good. Come to your own conclusion about such a pointless question. And be sure to come back in 2018 to discuss Puss In Boots 2: 9 Lives & 40 Thieves.
Technically, nothing bad would ever have happened if it weren't for Puss. But then, Dulcinea was the one who he followed into the town. I guess Dulcinea really is to blame for everything bad that happened in the show.
What a bitch.
I would say it would cost more than that, but they practically get paid slave wages.
I still like the show for what it is. These recent episodes were a marked improvement. Hopefully that trend continues.
It's a more visually interesting shorthand for flashback than standard effects and it works well in the setting because it looks like a storybook.
Best Dulcinea...in fact, it would be fun if she were all innocent like she currently is, but hulked out when she got angry, yet still made cute-sounding, pathetic excuses for threats.
Wait, she actually murdered someone? I mean, at the end of the first episode they had him talking in her stomach but then they admitted that he was melted down in stomach acid.
She fucking murdered a guy on a kids show. Netflix really isn't pushing censorship at all.
As she said, he deserved it. She probably could have at least been merciful enough to chew him up.
His wizard soul escaped, so I guess it's a cop-out in that regard. He lived on in another form.
>Morbi tweeting about PiB
>No sign of drawing any fanart
Come on, don't tease me like this, you little cloud fucker.
I still remember Ebvert and other artists saying they couldn't draw her naked because they couldn't get a sense of what she looked like under her clothes. I doubt this will change that, but here's hoping.
The only people drawing art for this show are the people who work on it. This was done by a storyboard artist.
Just seems weird is all. I can find a working torrent for 1969's Support Your Local Sheriff, but not the rest of S1 of a recent cartoon. Hell, I see a working 5yo torrent for Snake and Crane Arts of Shaolin, but all the S1 eps are dead.
The question is, do I go hunting on IRC, the old Direct Connect hubs, or try my luck on DDL sites?
>Promote Peabody with Peabody chat
>Promote Julien with Julien chat
>Promote Puss in Boots with Sphinx chat
What did they mean by that?
They did not have it. I'm thinking about ripping from a steaming site, but I need to go get an older version of firefox since Greasemonkey doesn't work in 36.0 or something. Still, appears to be my best bet.
Been busy. 23 credit semesters equal 14 hour days at college. Never really had a problem finding a torrent for recent material before either, so I figured there was no rush. This was wrong.
Well, everyone here who likes this show has or SHOULD have every episode on their hard drive, so maybe someone with a Mega account will help you out. Don't tell me I'm the only one here with every ep, guys.
Because the showrunner was fresh off Beware the Batman, where the same policy for the villains was applied there.
I don't think the PiB writers even wanted to do anything big with villains until the season finale.
Well, I enjoyed this thread. I'd have enjoyed it more if those webms from a few months back were reposted, but they seem to be lost forever.
Maybe we'll be lucky enough to have another thread in due time.
