Well the idea behind VNLA was that each of them were major powerhouses on their own but invariably suck at teamwork.
Having mostly stereotypical villain attitudes and "goals" in life they all somehow got grouped together as one of the worst teams I could possibly conjure up.

V being the " my way or the highway" de facto leader, he only sees things being done with no compromise. His level headedness thinly veils his volatile temper.

Just adding my two cents since I just started heavily getting in to digital.

Depending on what kind of art I'm doing, I only have a few layers but if it's something for Artist Alley, I have anywhere of 50-80 layers.

I have hair, parts of clothes, skin, eyes and accessories on different layers then clip mask each to do detail and shading.

Once you get the hang of layers it's pretty easy and fun to do digital stuff.

I use Paint Tool Sai. It's super good I think. Better than most other more expensive programs. And yes I am using a graphics tablet. As for layers, it really depends. Pic related is 10 layers (15 if you count the initial sketch) and that's not including the layers that I merged with other layers.

Well. Okay then. Let's see... I'm fairly certain that Yang CAN be taken down by scratch damage/literally cherry tapping her to near death, so the resident telekinetic, Zinnia Waldite would be a good matchup with her Renji Abarai-tier shenanigans with her whipsword that has detachable segments.

The rest... it'd all come down to a test of skill, desu. Though, RWBY would be going up against a guy with a sword that turns into a PLASMA CANNON powered by his electricity semblance, a guy with weaponized yo-yos whose power is to see exactly how he can cause some Captain America tier weapon bouncing, and a guy with bigass Big O piston-gauntlets who can control and direct seismic energy. The latter can potentially alter the terrain to their team's advantage, and even set up the yoyo guy for some serious shenanigans with his weapons, while RWBY would have to watch out, and avoid getting vaporized by a plasma cannon.
