sorry anon i know it hurts
atleast spiderincent exist but that ultimate peter
So, they all went and beat Doom or something? Who all is still alive? Is Ult verse still around, but just not having any stories done from it?
I haven't been keeping up and I'm so confused.
Can someone tell me what's wrong with Miles role in Utimate End? He's being portrayed as a responsible, mature and caring teenager in a way Peter hadn't been portrayed since well, never. He's also showing his skills as a leader, something Peter never got to do in a serious way with the X-Men or Avengers (Slott portrayal of leadership was laughable like that issue where Norman comes back).
Is it because he wasn't created by Stan Lee or Peter David back in the day? Miguel was a forgotten C-list character that never got the spotlight in the franchise he was created after the 90s ended, just like all the other Spider-men were. Ben Reilly was not like Iron Man or Captain Marvel who are A and B list respectively. His only role in Spider-man books outside of the clone saga was always that of the partner or the sidekick, he was never an important character until now and conversely his most important stories always happened to be in death. I bet Stan Lee would not have had any problem with using Miles if he was allowed.
So why the hate for Miles? I don't understand.
Brian Michael Bendis is a gateway writer of the worst kind. He's a bad storyteller, with a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive double pages and WORDS. The normal anon can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the writer himself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.
However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of his core make him a breeding ground for aspie, unsociable tumblr faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The superpowered characters all trying their hardest to look smart, the unending Bendisspeak, boring personalities, the whole quipping faggotry and everything about his stories fuels their escapist fantasies, while the retconned character backgrounds, emphasis on his waifus, and overall preachiness of the writer make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average redditor and his sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes redditors and tumblr retards eat this shit right the fuck up.
Bendis is basically THE writer to attract the most hated comicbook fanbase known to /co/, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every anon to shitpost the fuck out of this writer and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no Bendis thread (excpet for story times so we can see the trash for what it is) ever encourage /co/mblr to show their faces here.
>tfw we don't get the superior 1610 jessica drew because the main one got a costume change and is pregnant.
this world is cruel and unusual.
Typical anti-Bendis brigade. You guys are the worst of the worst. Always crying because Marvels best writer is reinvigorating comics with his top selling stories. I bet you guys are the same idiots crying about the X-men too. Well too bad, his X-men run is highly praised everywhere else like reddit, and will go down as one of the best. Issue 600 took old and boring characters and reinvigorated them into a new progressive age. You guys need to catch up instead of staying stuck in the past.
And there is nothing you can do to stop the Bendis train, lol.
I'm still wondering
>What happened to 616 Mysterio since he was locked in the jail
>What ever happened to Peter and MJ
>Why didn't Harry come back to life
>What happened to Ult Venom
>What happened to 616 Galactus/Cap/Thor
so much reaction image potential
There are other recent action figure variants, that are drawn to have articulation and accessories similar to Marvel Legends or Marvel Selects, but all the Secret Wars toy parody covers have the same lack of accessories except Star-Lord who has a removable helmet.
Nah. You're just overthinking it, The Miles variant is really no different than most of the other variants, or even the real-life figures. Certain ones had accessories other than a shield but none of the Spider-Man figures did.
Actually the variant Secret Wars figures that had accessories were:
Deadpool (multiple weapons)
Falcon, Daredevil, and Wolverine had similar accessories in the actual figures, so that's expected. For unknown reasons, the Secret Wars #7 Magneto variant cover, the #8 Doom variant, and #9 Iron Man variant are missing the weapons that the original figures had.
I just don't understand.
This answered no question, gave no send off, Miles just literally appears in the end and they have a fight off-panel. A fight that is incredibly important, apparently since the fucking Secret Wars keep getting delayed, to their flagship title. Nothing was fucking solved. Nothing was sent off. It was all nothing.
This is the smuggest thing I've ever seen.
Nigga, do you even know who your talking about? He's the master of Marvel, the king of comics, the future Editor-in-Chief. He has 2 shows based on his creations, Powers and Jessica Jones, and someday Mile Morales will be the next Spider-man in movies or TV.
Sorry mate, but Bendis is the King of Marvel. Those on Team Bendis will guard any and all storylines created by Bendis, or expand on it. I mean look at this shit →
Once he finally runs Marvel, we will enter an era of Bendis continuity. As long as there's a franchise with a movie or TV show, it won't be safe from Bendis Continuity.
He' the future Editor-in-Chief of Marvel, and the other writers at marvel know it. The ones that aren't with him are off doing Star Wars.
Second prints don't really mean much, it means that if there are stores that sold out of it right now, they might reorder and get a second print.
Now, if it goes into third, fourth, etc prints, that's when it shows there's major demand (Ms. Marvel #1, Edge of Spider-Verse #2)
Did she even show up after that whole bit with trying to find Spidey's secret identity?
He didn't ask for it, the artist drew it and asked him if it was okay, he accpeted. You might find it hard to believe but a lot of people in Marvel respect and even praise Bendis inclusing the EiC.
It's Bendis. And he's there mainly because he launched the Ultimate line (Ultimate X-Men wasn't out till four months after USM's debut) and stayed with it till the end unlike Millar who bailed for Hollywood and Hickman who bailed for Avengers.
