Hey guys, look who survived the Final Incursion.
Are civilians from Ultimate showing up going to be a thing?
>>
>>78228077
Does this mean Ultimate Kitty survived as well? Because I would be totally fine with that.
>>
>>78228161
Seems to be a case of "people who don't have living 616 counterparts survived." Hence why Bombshell, Miles, Maker, Jefferson, and Ganke survived. And Old Man Logan for that matter.

>>78228077
But what about Ultimate Jessica Drew?!!!
>>
>>78228252
That's an interesting case. She technically doesn't have a counterpart because she's a female clone of Peter, she should be eligible for surviving despite her name.
>>
>>78228197
Dosent miles have a counterpart thoguh. When Peter was searching his name up on the Internet and then had a shocked face
>>
>>78228347
think bendis is going to remember and address that? it's been left hanging for a fucking while, through a 'reboot' even, but I can't think of a previous time he's forgotten to deal with plot threads he set up himself
>>
>>78228347
>Bendis
>Remembering his own continuity
keep dreaming
>>
>>78228347
For all we know he could have found an article saying 616 Miles died.
>>
>>78228347
There was going to be a Spider-Men 2, but I think Spider-Verse may have gotten in the way of that.
Which could explain why Bendis refused to write anything Spider-Verse related when it was going on.
>>
>>78228506
Yeah, it got delayed because of Superior Spider-man, then delayed again because of Spider-verse, then the universe ended thanks to Secret Wars.
>>
>>78228077
we're entering the age of bendis so of course it makes sense the self-insert he created would turn up again at some point

fuck I miss Shooter. He would curbstomb Bendis' fat lazy ass

he took over avengers ten years ago

he's shoo-in for EiC

all the new writers are his flunkies

>but I can't think of a previous time he's forgotten to deal with plot threads he set up himself

Hawkeyes being affected by the Hood's power dampener.
>>
>>78228077
It's not the same Kong, though.

This the Korean American one from Spectacular Spider-Man. He's fair game since USM Kenny doesn't have a 616 counterpart. So they can just "create" him and place him in this.

He was in the background of one of those year one stories as one of the first people Peter saved. It would have to be a very recent death.
>>
>>78231121
>year one stories
>one of the first people Peter saved
>recent
you do realize Peter has been Spider-Man for 15 years by now right?
>>
>>78231194
I figured the sliding timeline was a bit more compact and that Miles wouldn't die almost immediately after >>78231107
There's no way JJJ wouldn't have used it for anti-spider-man fodder.
>>
>>78228347
Eitheir Bendis forgot or he will use that for a future plot thread.
>>
>>78231236
>I figured the sliding timeline was a bit more compact
It's a 4:1 scale.
>>
>>78228471
Why are we blaming Bendis for something he hasn't even done yet?
>>
>>78231236
in any case, recent or not, 616 Miles being dead before 1610 Miles comes sounds plausible.
>>
>>78231194
It's only been fifteen years in his mind. He's have fifty years experience, but due to Franklin he only /thinks/ it's been fifteen.
>>
>>78231550
That doesn't make sense.
>>
Friendly reminder that one day Bendis will be doing next years event. It's going to be one huge clusterfuck of each book ignoring the others continuity.
>>
>>78231614
Franklin Richards has been canonically setting the clock back so to speak since he doesn't want to grow up so everyone's individual time has been slowed because of his reality warping powers. It's why events like Captain America meeting Nixon are still considered canon. In reality they've been going at it for fifty years, but do to reality being in flux physically and mentally it appears to have been fifteen years.
>>
>>78231704
It's why he's had more than one eighth birthday.
>>
>>78231704
where was canonically confirmed
>>
>>78231107
>Spider-Man season one
>In any way cannon
>>
>>78231933
I think that happened sometime around mid 90's when the writers didn't realize what they confirmed. The fact that writers can't help making jokers about the sliding timeline also technically confirms that their perception of time is skewed. Eg Captain America discovers wikipedia and figures it's inaccurate since it tells of his exploits with all of the RL dates on it when he's obviously only been around for a few years.
>>
>>78231704

There's also the Earth X Trilogy explanation of it being Mephisto who is constantly fucking with time on a potentially multiversal scale.
>>
>>78232602
is there at least an issue number
>>
>>78233917
I unfortunately don't hvae that memorized but these two sites have lots of notes and screenshots concerning the inconsistencies in the sliding timeline. I swear it used to have a scan where Franklin implicitly was shown to but i didn't see it when glancing at it just now.
