Good evening owls of /co/,
Ellis is done, but we're keeping going, time for Secret Invasion
>>78211689
sorry, last night I was all "is my Windows update done???" and didn't want to potentially brick the computer
's all good now
>>78211718
pastebin: http://pastebin.com/0jKyyDvj
talk to me about solicits! the Marvel ones=seriously underwhelming
>>78211775
Bees, my God.
>>78211775
Really excited about Hawkeye and the Thunderbolts getting collected
nothing in solicits was huge, all the stories are chugging along
Interested in the meta-Ms Marvel issue
>>78211775
Abnett used "Wonders"!
>>78211775
Also proof that there is no God: Booth is on Aquaman
>>78211816
NAZI BEES!
call the JSA
>>78211868
Can't say I'm interested in Aquaman right now anyway. Maybe if Johns and Reis were on board...
>>78211775
Honestly all solicits so far have been underwhelming
>>78211858
small bits of hope, am I feeling them?
no, no actual hope
>>78211897
I see we have oversized #50s, then maybe shifts after them?
>>78211689
Hello Storyteller.
>>78211718
>sorry, last night I was all "is my Windows update done???"
I know that feel. It's annoying as fuck.
>>78211775
Abnett appears to be trying to continue the book Hawkgirl's on the goddamn cover again.
It hurts, but I'll support it if it's worth supporting.
Speaking of hurt (and bees), Deadpool is going to really dark places again. He's going to go after Sabertooth for his parents, instead of what actually happened. The 90s back-issue was perfect DugPo, so I'm interested.
Good evening, storytimer. Am I correct in remembering it said that this run is inferior to the two we've already done?
>>78211942
I need to catch up on that run like woah
Gage is doing a pretty good Ellis, here
>>78211936
I let it run pretty long but then said FUCK THIS and reset it and it was fine, whew
>>78211868
On the contrary, it's Abnett rolling shit literally backwards and getting back to the Arthur/Mera power hour. Abby is fixing fucking everything nowadays.
>>78211934
>maybe shifts after them?
Probably
Some of them sounded like conclusions so I can see some creative team moving
If not after #50 then it'll probably be well into summer that we get anything. Cause you know 4+ DCYou books are gonna get cancelled in June (?).
>>78211981
I really really hope that they don't start calling Mera Aquawoman. I hope they're just bringing back an old character like Dolphin or making a new one.
>>78211965
right now we're in transition but we're heading straight into what Comrade called "Blunderbolts"
But don't let me prejudice anyone, we're in this together
>>78211981
No, Abnett is great, but Booth is...
>>78211775
Apparently, we're getting a new Martian Manhunter origin.
And the Kindt one has already been waylaid already...could be interesting?
>>78211971
>those last three panels
Oh wow. Just wow.
>create solid constructs out of sound
Never get tired of how absurd Melissa's powers are.
>>78211868
Osborn should just get Bullseye his collection of snuff films as a gift.
>>78212014
>sanctimonious ivy league surrender monkey
>>78212014
>Abnett is great
I can't agree, but he's not terrible either.
>>78211942
>He's going to go after Sabertooth for his parents
Oh this is going to be interesting. As I recall Sabertooth's reaction to Deadpool's burning his parents house down was more or less "Dude..."
>>78212057
Abnett is at least solidly competent?
>>78212067
Or solidly mediocre?
>>78211971
They didn't?
>>78211983
>Cause you know 4+ DCYou books are gonna get cancelled in June (?).
Which ones?
>Omega Men
>Midnighter
>Dr Fate
>probably JL3001 gets a relaunch later but sales still suck
>>78212014
I got through VfH. How bad could this be?
>>78212076
I haven't read much of his recent stuff IIRC, so I'm pretty agnostic
>>78212108
>Dr Fate
A shame
>>78212113
Oh, the upcoming isn't nearly as bad as that. That's a rancid turd.
there's some serious EDGE ahead, though
>>78212076
Nah, he's got a floor of like. 1.2 Jurgens. Basically, always readable with nothing to hate, sometimes better.
And then DnA is a totally different animal that shouldn't be rated on the Jurgens scale.
Sterling Gates is doing a Supergirl digital comic. Good for him, wish he was on a bigger exposure job,
>>78212108
I can't wait for the yearly updates for JL3K+
>>78212144
Yeah, I was suspecting he was on it, but good to hear
mainline book again when?
>>78212161
>>mainline book again when?
Well, if it does well, who knows?
>>78212141
I need to crop that golden reaction image.
>>78212144
>>78212161
Oh and the announcement namechecked Vril Dox so....
>>78212144
>>78212161
They're giving him Lupa and Bengal, not shovelware artists. I'll pick it up.
>>78212129
Not if they get Liew on a better title. This current one's alright, but when I think of Dr. Fate I think of the possibilities and what you can do with the identity crisis theme and striking balance between order and chaos, it could fill a void for more serious magick titles instead of being "relatable guy gets powers"
Fans of the Supergirl TV show will be happy to hear that they can see more heroic exploits of the Girl of Steel in DC’s new Digital First series called Adventures of Supergirl. Veteran Supergirl writer Sterling Gates will be penning the new title, which will be drawn by a cast of rotating artists including Bengal, Jonboy Meyers, Emanuela Lupacchino, and Emma Vieceli. Bengal will be penciling, inking, and coloring the first three chapters.
This 13-chapter, bi-weekly comic will release on Mondays, which just happens to be the same day the show airs on CBS. It won’t directly tie into the show, but will tell stories in that universe with Supergirl teaming with the DEO to protect National City while also working a job at CatCo as Kara Danvers. DC also told us that she will take on classic villains like Rampage, Vril Dox, and Psi.
Digital tie-in comics are nothing new for DC’s TV shows. Both Arrow and The Flash have ongoing digital titles that fill in the gaps before/after seasons, plus Smallville enjoyed a healthy run that continued the show after its TV series finale.
However, unlike those comics, Supergirl’s series will not be printed and shipped as a monthly comic. The title will instead be collected and printed as a graphic novel, skipping the floppies entirely.
Adventures of Supergirl will debut on January 25, 2016.
>>78212161
(remember, he cut a deal with Arnim Zola)
>>78212161
Oh good. It's been around half an issue since our last shitstorm.
>>78212008
>I really really hope that they don't start calling Mera Aquawoman.
>mfw some poor damn fool calls her "Aquawife"
Her Majesty despises being referred to by silly codenames. It's really best not to insult her like that, lest she get.... upset.
http://www.amazon.com/Supergirl-The-Silver-Age-Omnibus/dp/1401262465
not bad
>>78212199
>However, unlike those comics, Supergirl’s series will not be printed and shipped as a monthly comic. The title will instead be collected and printed as a graphic novel, skipping the floppies entirely.
I really like this. also dem artists
>>78212189
and then he showed up on /co/ and left after someone impersonated him
Someone needs to tell him how to trip
>>78212190
That's a very good sign, that's top-book talent
>>78212141
It's funny you should say that, Karla, given the synergy that Cage's 'Bolts had.
>>78212228
yes lupa returning to supergirl
>>78212199
>The title will instead be collected and printed as a graphic novel, skipping the floppies entirely.
Well that's a nice experiment
People are gonna forget about it, aren't they
>>78212262
hee
>>78212259
I think it's a good idea
>>78212259
>People are gonna forget about it, aren't they
Only if it's boring as hell.
>>78212108
Speaking of Midnighter, it's actually maybe wearing the SS crossover well. Instead of throwing the unpowered mercs at him, Orlando's dumping Parasite on his ass.
That has plenty of potential.
>>78212259
atleast it got some mainstream press from HR
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/new-supergirl-digital-comic-tie-848968
>>78212199
>Vril Dox
Oh hey, a reason for me to pay some vague attention to Supergirl.
A possible L.E.G.I.O.N comeback is worth the projectile vomiting.
>>78212275
Also, with an already-known length of 13 chapters, that's a known quantity and hopefully it's been polished and refined to not waste any space
unlike how many ongoings are clearly written on the fly
>>78212318
well hey look who that is
>>78212275
Yeah I like how they're trying new things, and I'd love for more digital stuff, but I feel like big two books are just doomed if floppies aren't involved or don't do well.
>>78212313
yes please
>>78212318
I'm caught between outright horror and thinking "that's kind of sweet."
>>78212231
I don't like Andrea. She's creepy and she's giving off this incest-y vibe.
>>78212327
Please Ewing make Teddy interesting
>>78212370
whoops
>>78212313
No, you'll derail unrelated threads in a sad bid to be noticed, as per usual.
>>78212327
C'mon man, don't Kree have doors?
>>78212380
how are you owls today?
>>78212390
I bet they have those sci-fi vagina doors that you're not supposed to actually touch.
>>78212390
doors are for people without this kind of musculature
>>78212413
Pretty good.
>>78212431
>>78212419
I wish Hawkgirl and the Cosmic Vagina was, like, 2 issues shorter
>>78212431
Good old Captain Srullvel.
>>78212431
damn, Norman
brass balls
>>78212413
I can't hear my neighbor's porn today, so, alright.
>>78212459
>>78212469
Oh, ewwww, I'm so sorry
>>78212459
Karla taught him how to be a shrink? That'd be scary.
>>78212370
>murderess
Okay, I keep seeing characters say this in comics.
Stop it. That is not a word. Nobody talks like that. We do not need a gendered term for people who commit murder. For fucks sake.
>>78212485
He's actually using his regular Sexing Blondes technique. Worked on Gwen.
>>78212491
it's very archaic, yes
>>78212413
Found out a friend of mine may be getting dropped from our university program due to plagiarism. Karmic justice, given the way he is.
Going through the storytimes the past few nights, I'm really reminded about how I have such a poor gasp of when these books were being released, as far as what year and what events were going on. it all kinda muddles together.
>>78212491
How did this nonword get into a dictionary?
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/murderess
>>78212519
The event tie-in banners really help
Thank you anon!!
>>78212540
They stopped doing that some time between Dark Reign and NOW!, didn't they?
>>78212542
is dat some adorable Hal plushie I see?
>>78212441
>Cosmic Vagina
Wut
>>78212413
the weather is pretty bad, so humid you can't go for a walk without boiling in your own clothes.
>>78212224
>20 bucks
nice job amazon
also dat Cooke cover
>>78212561
There's some Heroic Age banners, and then INFINITY got plastered on everything, right?
>>78212562
Might be Super Why
>>78212567
OH. That reminded me, we had ice rain for about 48 hours straight. It was amazing. I didn't go outside.
>>78212575
So buying
>>78212564
Oh ho ho, anon! Once upon a time, there was an arc of Hawkgirl written by Walt Simonson...
and drawn by Howie Chaykin
>>78212567
Just be glad you're avoiding the whoreshit that is Sleet.
I'd rather be shoveling snow than walking through sleet.
>>78212581
Well um...shit.
>>78212532
>Starktech trash
Dat salt.
>>78212542
Plushie Hal, get out of the shot. Now everyone is going to start fawning over you all night.
>>78212581
D: D: D:
a-are those pec blood vents??
>>78212562
>>78212579
It is in fact adorable Hal plushie
>>78212575
>that feel when you walk into an uncollected shit thread and bitch about milestone and walk out preordering the reprints you didn't know about
My SS #2 arrived, too. Shit, I love being wrong.
>>78212609
they appear to be metal nipple blood vents, yes
>>78212619
Aw it's so fat
>>78212532
>cheap starktech crap
Heh
>>78212619
d'awww!
>>78212648
uhoh, is Norman gonna go full Khan on us?
>>78212632
I am really glad for those Milestone reprints, I've been wanting to read Icon for a while
I already caved and bought all of Suicide Squad digitally when there was a sale before I thought they'd ever release a vol 2, so I am conflicted about getting the new trades
>>78212660
dat ass
so, who's the father of Jess' blonde babby?
>>78212671
Carol
>>78212671
>so, who's the father of Jess' blonde babby?
probably not Carol, because why would we get anything fun out of this shitshow? I hope it's not Clint
>>78212671
oh goodness just look at the time
>>78212671
Futa Carol. Blonde baby, bitches.
>>78212671
Thor?
>>78212671
Morlun
>>78212619
That's a hefty sirk
>>78212671
Hawkeye, probably.
I find myself no longer caring, as the child does not appear to be a half-spider abomination.
>>78212686
It probably is Clint
>>78212714
It also looks about 6-8 months old on that cover
and I'm sure we won't get a Stealth-quality "Jess gives birth" issue, either
>>78212734
How will she balance OP?
>>78212734
so how about that Bendis/Maleev "like what we did to Daredevil" solicit for IIM?
>>78212683
>>78212686
>>78212695
Surprisingly strong support for Carol being the father. Not that I blame you, since that would at least be some quality COMIC BOOKS fuckery.
I bet people are still mad that futa-Mystique isn't canon.
>>78212734
Actually, it's questionable genetics for her to be cranking out a blond kid. Not impossible, because WALLY'S HALF-KOREAN REDHEADS won that title, but I'm suspicious it's double not-hers.
>>78212770
DAMMIT KARLA
>>78212753
is that some sort of Hulk Bolt skrull?
>>78212758
Not exactly mad, I am mad that his biological father is such a fuckhead though.
>>78212765
I remember when Lian was a redhead, before someone remembered that a half asian kid probably couldn't have bright red hair
>>78212758
I'm still in denial about never-futa Misty. Why wouldn't she have a dick sometimes?
>>78212780
Bullseye should be in the ballet
Mark Russell interview, he says he's got another DC thing coming
http://www.dcplanet.fr/166124-dc-planet-interview-mark-russell-scenariste-de-prez/2
>Can you tell us the story about the reboot of the Prez title ? How did you do to make that comicbook ? Did DC directly contact you ?
>Yes, DC contacted me directly. So I hope no one is reading this for advice on how to get into the comic book industry. Waiting for DC Comics to call you is a really bad idea. But for me, the improbable happened, and out of the blue they asked me if I wanted to write the reboot of an obscure 1974 comic about a teenage president. How could I say no ? What part of that offer is unattractive ?
>Rebooting Prez was ultimately the idea of DC Publisher Dan Didio, who matched me with artist Ben Caldwell and editor Marie Javins, which were choices made in Heaven. When I described the dark parody of American politics I had in mind for what was supposed to be a mainstream DC comic, it would have been fair for anyone working with me to wonder if they were committing career suicide. But Dan, Ben and Marie were all immediately on board and have been really great to work with. I wanted the world of Prez to be someplace at once familiar to us, but also deeply unsettling. I wanted to populate the world of Prez with people who don’t realize they’re living in a dystopia, as is usually the case. I think this dystopia of the unaware lends itself well to satire, as people are funniest when they don’t realize they’re being funny.
>DC has allowed me a lot of freedom. So far, they’ve let me get away with everything except putting Meryl Streep in an exoskeleton and using the word fishdick.
>I do. I have recently signed a deal to write another title for DC, but I can’t be more specific than that until they make the announcement.
>>78212734
They give a skrull her powers, but neglect the Pink and White hair.
This is why you're shit, Skrulls. You just don't commit.
>>78212780
Karla...always ready to look out for #1.
>>78211971
Panel three is in boobvision.
I approve.
>>78212734
>and I'm sure we won't get a Stealth-quality "Jess gives birth" issue, either
Not sure it's even possible to recreate that magic.
>It also looks about 6-8 months old on that cover
Time skip. They are determined to be as boring as possible with this.
>>78212805
Yeah! Great!
He's taken to it quite well.
>>78212693
Poor Mac :(
>>78212805
Probably Wild Dog
>>78212829
Lesse, probably one more SI issue
>>78212517
Dat Ghostbusters reference
>>78212805
Huh, interesting
I wonder if he's taking over a creative team or if he's gonna be launching a new title
>>78212836
it's only natural
>>78212765
Jessica does not naturally have black hair.
>>78212842
>>78212845
Two more SI issues
this is fun but much lighter weight than Ellis
>>78212789
Redheaded Asians are rare, but they exist.
Hell, they're a bit of a bullied minority in school over in Japan.
And the teachers respond not by teaching kids to not treat people shit based on hair color, but telling the kids to..dye their hair black.
>>78212845
I'm surprised he didn't see Gwen.
>>78212857
I'd be really surprised if he was taking over an ongoing, it'll probably be another mini
>>78212864
I'd be surprised if the writers knew that
>>78212805
>DC has allowed me a lot of freedom. So far, they’ve let me get away with everything except putting Meryl Streep in an exoskeleton and using the word fishdick.
That's oddly comforting.
>>78212889
Hopeless doesn't strike me as a Man of Deep Comics Research
>>78212899
It is
Marie Javins is amazing
>>78212845
See, this SEEMS like a good idea, but all it leads to is him singing folk songs while pumpkin bombing left right and center.
>>78212889
it's mentioned onher wiki page, skimming that is the least you can do before writing a character
>>78212917
>this hentai doesn't end well
>>78212864
Fair, but is it still canon? Is there any reason to believe the obvious will be mentioned in the book?
>>78212845
To be perfectly fair to Norman, a whole bunch of Peter Parkers all yammering in your ear all at once is a pretty horrific nightmare for anyone.
>>78212927
>mfw my virginity is intact
>>78212957
>>78212950
Is Peter even funny any more?
>>78212957
Embrace us as liberators? Didn't Kodos say that on the Simpson's?
>>78212967
Huh, they really do have Andrea in a cut-rate Ms. Marvel getup
>>78212860
Def
>>78212984
and now, a Geoff Johns special
>>78212967
Are there any funny Spider-characters left?
Post-Slot Silk, I guess? Kinda? The writer might be doing damage control on Felicia as of the next solicits, which is amusing. But he did exceed all expectations.
>>78212967
sure. he still jokes.
I mean, at the moment he's not in a joking mood, but that's because Punished 'Venom' Osborne sicked his Goblin Army on Aunt May in the middle of Africa
>>78212224
I already have both Supergirl Showcases, but for 20 bucks I'm tempted.
>>78213010
wait, what
>>78213010
>Punished 'Venom' Osborne sicked his Goblin Army on Aunt May in the middle of Africa
wat
>>78213041
That's our Bullseye!
>>78212967
>Is Peter even funny any more?
No, he just never shuts up, and mistakes that for humor.
A lot of people spoke out against the portrayal of other heroes outwardly disliking him(Storm and Falcon most prominently), but honestly, I agree. Peter Parker is annoying as fuck.
>>78213060
a-at least he's not Captain Atom
>>78213060
>>78213081
A+++++
>>78213081
That's a rather flat ass
>>78213010
That sounds ridiculous. It's common knowledge that nothing can kill Aunt May anyway.
hope the people i gifted get their stuff by Xmas! enjoy the books yall

So IIRC, upcoming in a few issues we have a crossover. Should I throw in the other books we're crossing over with?
>>78213152
They any fun?
>>78212491
I love goofy outdated feminine forms of words. Aviatrix is my favorite.
>>78213009
Miles was great in Chulk.
>>78213159
it depends very, very heavily on your definition of 'fun'
oh, it's later than I thought, no point thinking about it today
>>78213097
The universe will bend over backwards through its own ass to keep Aunt May alive.
Also, Peter is totally fucking his aunt. After One More Day, I refuse to believe otherwise.
>>78213182
>>78213170
so I should read Chulk?
>>78213182
>very heavily on your definition of 'fun'
Sounds fun indeed
>>78213041
>>78213056
Norman showed up, face covered in bandages, supplying goblin juice and tech to third world militants. One such group attacked a village that Parker Industries was building solar panels for, Aunt May was there helping. Once all the panels were blown up the village chief told Spider-Man that until they can defend themselves, there's no point rebuilding, and then was seen hiring some of the goblin army from Norman himself to provide protection.
>>78213186
>Also, Peter is totally fucking his aunt. After One More Day, I refuse to believe otherwise.
someone post thatTroubleedit please
>>78213206
>Aunt May was there helping.
Isn't she like, 90? How'd she manage a flight to Africa?
>>78213201
Well, Dave, to go ahead and spoil it, is Waypool your idea of fun? :D
>>78213194
If you like Pak's sense of humor, yes. I've always been on his Amadeus and Pak doesn't fail me, but I'm only speaking for me.
Avatar Press solicits came out right now.
Providence is SKIPPING ANOTHER MONTH.
Goddamn, I love that book the wait hurts.
>>78213224
...spoke to goddamn soon.
Into the fray anyone?
>>78213152
Depends on what the other books are.
>>78213225
iHerc was fun although Chaos War was a mess, so I'll give it a spin
>>78213206
>implying bandage face is Norman
i mean it probably is but still
Forgive my lack of reading, but is this how Norman somehow makes his way to Iron Patriot later on?
>>78213252
that's because of what he does at the end of Secret Invasion, yes
>>78213245
>>78213252
Yes, he triumphs here and then in the main Secret Invasion book he kills the Skrull Queen in the final melee

>>78213271
I know they're invading and shit, but this kind of gleeful cannon fodder never sits right with me

it's either Norman wit a hideous scarred face, Norman with plastic surgury to hide his identity, or just plain old Norman.
>>78213245
Well, it's lewder than either (like, not quite sex comedy, but it could tip at any point), but if I were 18ish and also a Hulk, I wouldn't be any better.

after like four issues of bullshit in the Savage Land
TOTAL DERAIL, but there was a DC/Marvel official recipe thread and I'm fukken making this shit.
>tfw the marvel recipes are absolute trash
Pak is touching on Azz Wondy for TT, nice they're finally doing something (potentially) non-retarded with Cassie

>>78213478
>Wasn't one of the marvel recipes just get shit out of the fridge and eat what you can cold
Dr. Strange is a lazy asshole
>>78213448
They've been after him since he first started on Action. So much whining that he would dare focus on Lana Lang for an arc.
>>78213422
>Azz Wondy
>non-retarded
In any case, anyone else find it amusing that the cover to that issue is a reference to Eric Luke's WW run of all things? How... quaint.
>>78213466
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHH
>>78213492
they make me hope they stay buttmad forever
>>78213459
If he sets it back to her being a demigod she'll still have fewer origins than Donna.
>>78213478
>>78213484
Not as lazy as BP.
>>78213466
>can still see black cat's mask in the thumbnail

>>78213312
I suppose that was intentional.
>>78213501
>>78213493
Cassie as Lennox's daughter has story potential
it's also less stupid than the boobspike armor
>>78213466
This is Quesada's doing isn't it?
>>78213513
Literally Penance. With none of the fixing.
>>78213520
Here comes Diggle!
>>78213471
top kek
>>78213520
Karla's been in that tattered costume since Chen exploded, and I think it was just an excuse to draw her tits.
>>78213501
Lois deserves better fans. They make me offended on her behalf.
>>78213484
>>78213466
It's disturbing because the subtext is hard to deny at this point.
>>78213492
>So much whining that he would dare focus on Lana Lang for an arc.
Why do they object to Lana? Is it because of Smallville? Because that's petty as fuck if so.
>>78213541
It was 100% an excuse to draw her tits.
>>78213406
I'm surprised Osborne's controlling himself this well around the real deal.
>>78213530
Oh hey de la Torre. He drew some of Diggles Daredevil
>>78213505
>eat a sandwich
THAT'S NOT A RECIPE
>>78213520

>>78213530
The Black Driver writes comics?
Oh, so CM Punk/Bunn's Drax is actually maybe the one decent cosmic book. Fin Fang Foom is apparently pregnant or something, what?
>>78213406
Hey Skrull Pym, the Cows was the Skrulls ideas, it's not Reed's fault your species is so fucked up being dairy cows was preferable.
>>78213545
No, it's because their main focus is Lois to such a degree that it excludes other women, and they frame the focus on Lois and the Lois/Superman ship as a feminist issue, in fact, one of the most pressing ones in comics
>>78213544
>Hey kids are you hungry? Try some raw onions and kale!
>>78213545
>Why do they object to Lana
Her crime is not being Lois
>>78213541
>>78213549
Tits are fun to draw.
>>78213573
Black Driver got named after Diggle because Diggle wrote Green Arrow: Year One, with Jock on art
>>78213513
>Cassie as Lennox's daughter has story potential
Not seeing how. Especially considering he's dead and only like, three people even give enough of a shit about him to even remember he existed at all.
>>78213545
Smallville is probably the source, but it was dressed up as some feminist thing. Lois is feminist and Lana is "traditional" so it's un-feminist to focus on Lana, even when Pak's goal was to beef up Lana's character and make her less traditional.
>>78213544
How awful
>>78213551
like he said, killing a half-dozen spider-skrulls was surprisingly therapeutic. He'll be sleeping well all year.
>>78213596
My joke was so bad it looked serious. Shame on me. :(
>>78213602
>Lana is "traditional"
I like Lois, but that's just horrible to say, these guys man
>>78213594
I wish that more people would draw realistic tits. Like, go hire some nude life models, and do some studies. real tits are great!
>>78213600
it's a good clear origin, it has no boobspike armor, it gives Cassie a connection to Diana and her pantheon for future stories, and it can be aspirational, which TT needs more of
>>78213611
I'm really earnest! It's not you, anon, it's me
>>78213576
>>78213587
>they don't like Lana because she's not Lois
.... Y'know, at least the Smallville thing would make a stupid kind of sense, but this is just detached from any form of cohesive thought.
>>78213622
Yeah, and, if good creatives ever align, do give them a base for clearly defined and engaging dynamics
>>78213649
Yep. Smallville Lana deserves the hate, but Pak wrote a great Lana.
>>78213602
>Lana is "traditional"
And yet new 52 Lana is a tomboy-ish electrical engineer
>>78213429
>Black Bolt and Doctor Strange Skrull
Fucking hell, that's broken as shit
>>78213687
Skrulls are often notoriously nerfed compared to their originals, especially when they're masquerading as heavy hitters.
>>78213652
And, gasp, that's what good writers do. Build story potential without breaking all the toys.
>>78213704
For you young'ns here, this is 100% Dick Nixon
>>78213645

>>78213723
The last two pages were straight up Joe McCarthy.
Also "STORMIN NORMAN!"
>>78213723
>Norman wouldn't hurt a fly
He was massacring Skrulls on the front lines. This was public knowledge.
>>78213737
Because it was cool and it tried to break Marvel out of a ridiculously NYC-centric rut
>>78213758
oh Karla
>Vance and Richie don't hate you, Robbie
>>78213737
Because it takes odd combinations of characters to new locations, as if there were a world outside of NYC!
Wasted potential, but we got some gems.
>>78213749
Skrulls aren't people so it's okay.
>>78213758
Marvel was NEVER going to let any city outside of NYC get any spotlight. We were fools to believe otherwise.
>>78213543
Yeah. I do want Lois and Clark to get back together, but in a way that feels natural and not jus to appease whiny fanboys parroting the same New52 complaints.
>>78213795

For the sake of fun stories, I'd rather it be someone completely differentlike Selina, since she's on the run and tieri's tenure was two goddamn issues and the series is probably canceled

>>78213951
Jurgens JLI mangled her with grievous injuries, unless that was retconned/fixed.
>>78213818
>isn't it just as bad?
Yeeeep. That Pre-New52 book with Lois and Clark is doing pretty bad sales-wise, right. The "NOT MUH SUPERMAN?LOIS" fans couldn't even put their money where their mouths regarding their beloved ship.
>>78213950
I think he was that writer, or one of the writers, yeah.

>>78214050
Did they pull the Adams variant or something? I thought it had one solicited
>>78214068

I think everybody who was excited to see those versions of Clark & Lois lost interest real fast when they saw that it was set in the new 52 DCU, they thought they were going to get a book that was actually set in the pre=Flashpoint DCU
but yeah the low sales on that probably aren't going to convince DC any further that they need to bring pre-FP stuff back
>>78214127

Because it's going to happen.
