Deck the halls.

Enjoy storytimes, contests, and trivia.
Gift a /co/mrade.
Post your wishlist.
Enjoy the best time of the year.

List of ungifted wishlists and instructions: http://pastebin.com/2R25RyGY

So share your list, join in some holiday story times and above all else be Merry.

Please only post your list once per thread, no begging, and keep it friendly. Remember to say thanks and maybe post a pic if you get lucky.

There are a lot of wishlists that don't have addresses tied to them, without an address no one can purchase something for you and have it sent to you. To update that please open your list, select the "list settings" option in the top right corner, then in the window click "view details" for the list your are sharing then select or add an address under the "shipping address" in the middle if you don't want to share your full name please make a new address and use initials or some nickname.

Posted in the last thread so I'll share this deal here. On US and Canadian Amazon the new silver age super girl omnibus is 20$ and if you're in the US and use the code 25OFFBOOk you can get it for as low as 15$

Nice collection. There are more Simpsons Christmas episodes if you want to expand it, there's the Funzo one and the one where they get snowed into the school. Also the Futurama with killer Santa
>>
>>78192984
With price mistakes like that Amazon will generally fulfill as many of the orders they can at the error price and then any other orders up and above they'll cancel and put a credit on the account.

Alright, Im going to make a wish list and hopefully gift some people :)

One question I have is, should I include omnis to my wishlist? or are those way to expensive so it would never happen?

Most gifters are looking for stuff in the 10 - 20 range. There's been a few generous people that will get bigger stuff for people but it's not much.

Can someone put the canadabros lists together so I can get something for someone when I get paid on Friday.
>>
>>78193044
Wish it was a book I had more interest in. Not at all interested in old Supergirl stories. Nor new ones for the most part. If it was that Squadron Supreme omni coming out soon I'd buy 2.
>>
>tfw really greedy and want to keep posting list even though already gifted and get more and more gifts forever

>>
>>78195023
Yeah I was hoping there would be a canadabros list like last year.
>>
>>78195141
cool thanks again for the package bro
>>
>>78195031
I just know that about 6 years ago there was a thread on /co/ about all the marvel omnibus on Amazon were glitched so they were selling for 1/10 their costs. I hopped on and ordered like 5 but didn't get any as they ran out of stock before fulfilling my order, but they gave me about $40 bucks in credit.

It was the first time I ever bought on Amazon, sad I didn't get the Nick Fury, Gambit, Weapon X collections but still over all a decent encounter with the site. It's amazing how much money Amazon is willing to give out to people, and how much they give out before marking the account for credit hounding.

>>78195139
Hey by our own rules you're allowed to post your list once per thread. Most people buy out of the ungifted pastebin anyways.
>>
>>78195031
I'm hoping for a cancellation & getting a credit for it.

You'd rather the credit than a $20 omni? Could probably sell it for $50 and make a decent buck.

>>78195198
Now that the ungifted list is so small, others might be able to get their lists looked at more because of it. I know it's happened like that last year. I'll probably post mine again with idea of you never know when I post new art here.
>>
>>78195279
oh right, I've been tending to think of secret santa pool stuff with 'packages'

I'm still just surprised it went out so fast, tracking didn't even mark it as being sent out until this morning.
>>
Could I post a secret Santa for my friend? Like his fiancé just broke up with him over Facebook and I'm already getting him a ton of things but even like dollar trinkets or something from other people would probably help him out a whole lot and make him feel a little warmer this cold holiday. If not, totally cool just thought it'd be a sweet idea, he's kinda my best friend.
>>
>>78195311
>2I8WMC9XQZ6G3
I will if you go add a address to your wishlist, the steps to do so are in the pastebin.

>>78195348
There's usually not an issue but really I would recommend talking to your friend about it before passing out his list to us. What may he think if he gets something from some one without knowing whats happening.
>>
>>78195348

>You'd rather the credit than a $20 omni? Could probably sell it for $50 and make a decent buck.
Not that anon, but I'm hoping to get the credit rather than the book. Reselling it is a hassle, and it'd only be for an extra $10 at best ($20 credit vs. $30 profit).
>>

Sticking with the 80's, Bananaman followed the adventures of a kid who turned into a hero when eating a 'nana. Think Popeye with a cape. You would think that in this day the concept is dated, however there is still a movie on its way. Yes. A big budget movie of this. Let it sink in.

Jimbo. Because as Thomas the Tank Engine proved that giving faces and turning vehicles alive isn't creepy in the slightest. Rather than dick about on trips to Spain or get into unfortunate accidents over Ukrainian air space, living aircraft Jimbo rode the britfag animation crazy on weekday afternoons. Before being grounded for life.

Once upon a time the children's show Blue Peter showed everyone in the UK how to make the hottest christmas toy for a long while - Tracy Island from Thunderbirds. Kids went MENTAL for it, resorting to those unable to secure one to build their own from yogurt pots and bendy straws. The boys from International Rescue have recently been rebooted in CGI, but while the locations are spot on, the characters themselves are freakishly looking.

One for Minifig. Following in Superteds footsteps of soft toys that come alive, Raggy Dolls took this concept further, dealing with the doomed rejects of manufacturing. Rather than be thrown in a furnace they gained sentience, embarking on random adventures. You would imagine they would make a break for their freedom, at risk of being discovered and binned.

I figured i'd ask this in a thread about giving.

Please note that this is not a request for donations but just for help.

I have been made aware through my partner of a family of six (we'll call the smiths to protect the family) have been forced to live in a 3 birth caravan on a private site in England, the children are between 2 and 8 one child has been diagnosed with heart problems, SPD and Autism, the cost of travel to and from appointments is what caused their issue in the first place. They are unable to be offered a house at the moment the on site washing facilities are broken meaning no clothes washing, since its an old style caravan it uses the bottled gas a service which has now been stopped due to missed payments, the father/husband works as much as he can but his entire pay bar £64 per month is spent on covering the bills, due to a screw up on behalf of the britbong government they can no longer get financial help.

So what i'm asking is where and how is the best way to raise money to help this family over christmas, £137 has already been raised so far but any advice would be appreciated.

we're trying to do it on the quiet as a present for christmas at the moment just to ease the stress a little also its £159 raised so far, if enough can be raised (not sure of the total) to pay off the debt preventing her from being moved into accommodation all well and good.

But thank you for the advice i'll get my partner to let the others know now.

I've only ever purchased on .uk once. There should be a section in the help area explaining shipping on that site. I do know that with the prime trial you get a month free, that you need to change the setting on the account so it doesn't charge you the normal subscription afterwards. But in the US the prime shipping gives free standard shipping to Hawaii and Alaska and/or other outlying Providences.

It's pretty straightforward. I'm an American, but I can log into Amazon.co.uk or .de or whatever with my regular Amazon account and order things through there. So if there's a UK anon I want to gift, I just log into Amazon UK and order it and pay the standard UK shipping.

>Understanding Amazon The Post
Amazon has sever different ending domains .com, .ca, .de, .es, etc. These ending domains correspond to the country's Amazon store so .ca is amazon.ca or Amazon for Canada. The nice thing about Amazon, however, is if you have an account in any of those domains you can use it in any other domains so an amazon.com account works for amazon.ca
>BUT
Unfortunately Amazon Prime does not transfer from country to country. The good news is that you get a free trial of Prime with EVERY Amazon account and country, so it can actually be much cheaper for international Anons to just gift each other and make use of the free shipping. It is important to note that Prime shipping is only eligible for Prime items (duh!). It's also worth while to note that if you buy in a foreign country Amazon you should expect a language change (duh!). Thankfully Amazon will do currency conversions for you and you won't have to worry about localization costs.
>Cheating the Prime system
The best way to cheat the free Prime system is to create a new Amazon account each year and do a new free trial. If you use gmail email addresses you can use this method https://support.google.com/mail/answer/12096?hl=en to actually use the same email, but have a new account according to Amazon. Thus you'll get free Prime with minimal effort!
>>
>>78210212
3S8P4W39TIMO6 (co.uk)
>>
>>78210301
You also have to be careful of your credit card on the account being the same when trying to get free prime every year. It's sad you used to be able to get free prime every year as long as it was 12 months since you had it.

But if you happen to have something arrive past the 2 day shipping guarentee you can call/contact and get an extension on prime, free or not. Free can only get one extra month added to it though while paid can have like 6 added per year.
>>
>>78210301
>>78210382
>Additional Addendum Bonus Round Edition
Edu emails get free 6 months of prime, do the alias trick if you're one of the many schools that uses Google Apps and you have prime!
>>
>>78210255
Orders including £10 or more of eligible books qualify for FREE Delivery. All orders of £20 or more of eligible items across any product category also qualify for FREE Delivery. Items will be delivered 3-5 days after dispatch. All of this works as long as it's shipped by amazon.
>>
>>78210352

One thing to bear in mind is that people in mainland Europe sometimes use Amazon.co.uk, as it's easiest for them. I had to deal with some bullshit last year gifting somebody in Finland (granted, the bullshit was due to i-parcels being dumb fucks, but still)
>>
>>78210501
I'mma try with the uk servers even tho I'm from eastern europe. I'mma check some of ungifted anons, but I probably won't gift anything too expensive so I kept my kinda cheap. I hope I did the address right.

You mean Porco? Yeah, the Disney dub has Keaton as Porco.

I've been tempted to upgrade our Totoro to the Disney edition since it offers both English dubs and the original Japanese, plus bonus features. I saw that they have the Blu-Ray at the Best Buy near us for $12.99, along with Arriety which I still haven't seen.

We've current this version, which apparently is going for ridiculous prices for whatever reason:

I'm surprised the Santa-life equation isn't on there.

beard + hat + red + white + sack ÷ sleigh ÷ reindeer ÷ tress × holly × jolly × merry × Christmas n=y where y=cookies and n=milk, hope=happiness, life=love, gift=Santa

I mean, having them all you can really pick out the pros and cons of each.

Like with Dragonball Z. If it were possible to mix and match parts that would be great.

Amazon's Miyazaki box set they released this year is really awesome. I own most of the ones I want already, but it's a great collection.
Castle in the Sky a best. Though somedays I think Mononoke is. And some days Spirited Away. And it's hard to go wrong with Cagliostro.

Hey, how is everyone. My day's been interesting for me, I had blood taken for the first time (at age 25), I lost my shit over the Smash Bros ballot announcement and I lost my shit again at the newest Jontron Star Wars video and may have teared up a little because I 100% am that lame.

Also, if anyone who lives in the UK wants a Captain America lithograph poster (limited edition, 1 of 1000) they can have it for Christmas. I've had it since last year and not done anything with it.

Every first date is super awkward.

OWN THAT SHIT, ANON. WE'RE CHEERING FOR YOU.

That reminds me, I really need to ask my crush if she wants to get a drink in the New Year. I mean, even if she says no then I can at least move on.

Yeah, moving on man.
Then you get drunk one night and have a really simple suburban tinged dream that makes you really weirded out the next morning

Sometimes you just have to roll with the awkward and pray you can reasonably escape soon. I hope it does not come to that for you. Good luck, anon.

I love the Ghostbusters' IDW comic because when I read it I easily hear everyone's voices from the movies in the dialogue. It's very faithful to the source material and feels like a natural extension.

Yeah, I think if you're going to to do one of these franchise comics...you have to think about drawing from all sources.
Not definitive per se...but showcasing the breadth.

They said if they do a second game or a bigger expansion, they'll draw more on Ghostbusters II. I'd imagine we'll see Louis as a Ghostbuster, plus Janosz and Vigo if that happens.
>>
>>78215502
It's a lot of first appearances, but Tajador covered it with the table of contents lol
>>
>>78215571
There's 9 playable characters as it is.
>>78215592
I would like an expansion as there's so much more they could pull from. I was saddened to find I didn't have the zombie taxi driver, it was an add on and not just a stretch goal. I would have dropped the extra $8 bucks to get them too.

Who's gonna make the new thread?
>>
>>78215578
Gonna say it - GL #20 should have been in it
>>
>>78215642

I got the spectral, and I got the delux version of the board game so all of the included streatch goals and the print. But I should have read more and done the zombie driver. Maybe some of the impossible level ghosts too.
