She actually flirted with the idea of Carol and Peter both in the first issue and in a two issue team-up in Avenging Spider-Man (probably the best she has written besides her first arc in Avengers Assemble).
Then, out of nowhere, she brought back from limbo Frank Gianelli, her love interest from Claremont series in the seventies. Then I guess she got bored with him, and hooked her up with Rhodey for three whole pages before sending her into space. Because they’re both pilots you see. It’s brilliant.

In the early Scorpion fights, Peter almost broke his hand on Mac because he threw a haymaker, and Mac hardly stopped.
