I know the other thread is still on 9, but I didn't know how long it would take me to put it up, so I decided a few minutes early was hardly a sin.
>could've gone for Dr. Facilier
>went with memes
>Leave for hour
>Last thread turn to complete shit
>This one possibly gonna follow
Might as well invite all of RT here as well.
Unless these new namefags are them already
They're usually deleted when on page 9, unless it pushes it to page 10.
The mods are very serious about this thread, mainly because it was the one that was allowed when /sug/ was deleted while the show was on hiatus
would kind of makes sense, since APPARENTLY cinder's plan she had all along was NOT about hacking the atlas military and abusing their armada, roboguards, and penny. that's just a side bonus she discovered recently.
her real plan was probably more about anticipating this guardian talk Ozpin is going on about and causing it to backfire, which might be why she was having merc and em look for "candidates" for her "list" back in s2.
Ok. I'm not from around here, except for TG. I wasn't aware there were any issues.
Why wouldn't they let it stay here? It's western, and clearly not anime.
we have a manga, a vidya, the thread is filled with fanfics and fanart, and the show heavily features crazy weaponry
so... /a/ /v/ /e/ /lit/ or /k/? maybe /tv/ if we stretch a bit.
I'm surprised there's no fan made website out, like they fans of mlp did
Why hasn't anyone made gifs of the other plushie scenes?
>Why wouldn't they let it stay here? It's western, and clearly not anime.
The same can be said about the little horse show. /co/ just hates cringe-y fandoms
Yeah yeah, they said that about /b/ too.
Actually, I've been following webcomics a lot longer than animu, at least since middle school. I can no longer even date how long I've been following some of them.
This aint no webcomic this is pure concentrated Austin Autism.
I got it from this tumblr page
well, technically it's a RWBY/RT thread, so anything RT is able to be discussed here, but RWBY is the most prevalent because muh waifus
We have RvB when it's going on, and talk about X-Ray and Vav and the RTAA when they're up. Not for very long, mind you, but they're still a thing
She's not perfect
ok back to the topic of RWBY merch: Did anyone here buy this ?
>Ren in second place
Really? Hes cool and all but dude jobs hard as fuck
>Implying Pyrrha isnt top tier.
Can someone give me a quick layout on these two guys
Is this for favourite character? Because Pyrrah is my favourite and i think it would make sense she gets a large fanbase considering her personality and how they've been setting up her downfall long ago earning her simpathy points.
I would hope it's just a beating and some time in the infirmary but seems Cinder really plans something really, really bad for her. Hope Jaune helps her.
naw m8. weiss knows what's up, but i have her so low down.
post pls m8y.
>jaune that high
naw. what your waifu likes shouldn't determine what you like.
>blake and weiss dead
Which is because the animators don't know anything about kickboxing. It's rule of cool even if it leads to janky combinations.
I wish they would watch some professional fights. I could give a shit about realism in RWBY but this fight was almost Yojimbo like in it's pacing.
That staredown wouldn't have been out of place in a duel a couple hundred years ago.
I still like it
Same domain it's always been.
plotwise? same place it's been since forever ago:
Ash still racing, Emily still actually happy with her age, Missi still a raging turboslut lesbian, Rumisiel still not ever quite enough in the good book upstairs to see any progress, the other side characters keep doing what they always have. sometimes plot or romance shenanigans happen but the story always ends up back in eternal limbo sooner or later.
Okay I've been trying to actively ignore this shit because it wasn't a big deal but it's clearly not working.
Not so much Octavia, but that flamberge is kickass.
I don't think I really favor anybody.
Neptune and Pyrrha would both be disappointed for putting they waifu and husbando that low.
>Implying I didn't like Jaune from day one.
I was the original Jaune fag son.
true. weiss deserves better.
jaune..NO. he fucked with my boy neptune. imo that was a shitty moment. maybe bc i wouldn't be brave/dumb (depends how you see it i guess) enough to 'call neptune out' bc he turned down weiss.
srsly tho, jaune goofed that moment, redeemed himself pretty much the next scene, but that neptune interaction stuck with me for some reason.
>Never was the word "turboslut" more literally appropriate.
oh man that whole scene where she got uppity at the wedding was just terrible and hilarious. "don't you dare talk shit about my waifu" but with cars instead. turboslut indeed.
Fight against shitty res posters
Kill the families of those that post shitty res pictures
Make the posters watch before drowning them in the blood of their loved ones
>YFW you realize Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele would of been good names for Rwby characters
Didn't someone already write a rwby fanfiction based on Fifty shades of Grey but with Ruby and Cardin
Yeah, as in something that's not so... entry-level?
>"don't you dare talk shit about my carfu"
it just depends on your tastes. I enjoyed food wars (shokugeki no souma) but it's actually not all that creative or unique. one punch man is okay too as long as you never ever go into a OPM thread.
Oh really? Don't tell me you plebs didn't even find KLK at least entertaining.
I'm not very surprised with the results.
Though I do wish there was a back button, Zwei should be ranked a little bit higher.
To each his (or her) own I suppose. As long as you're on to SOMETHING.
If you liked it because of Trigger, you should take a look at all the other Gainax (Trigger's predecessor) productions. Also, Trigger is coming out with a new series some time early next year.
>KLK at least entertaining
The fanservice was what killed it for me. The humor wasn't groundbreaking but it did its job and I chuckled, the story was retarded but that is how it is with most over the top things but the fanservice was too much.
I will give it credit for at least making the girls of legal age.
Really fanservice is what has ruined anime for me. It's not just stuff as blatant as KLK. It's the shit that I know for a fact is being made to appeal to some cunt's fetish.
There has to be something that has enough belief in it's own qualities that they don't have to throw in tits, cute girls and lolis.
Be right back, but take a look at this diagram here. The fanservice really serves a unique purpose, as well as parodying the common conventions of anime.
>Gainax (Trigger's predecessor)
yes, I'm aware. if it means anything to you, I was there when hoshi no samidare didn't get an anime because mizukami insisted on it being done by gainax with the OP by the pillows.
I fucking love that artist.
I wanna guess you thought she was pregnant as well?>>78044252
Entry-level isn't an insult, or at least it never used to be. It literally just means it's the sort of anime that's a lot of people's first. The only negative connotation is to people that have seen one or two entry-level anime and think they know everything now.
>The fanservice was what killed it for me
Then you're just an idiot since the entire concept of the show was born from 'fashion' and 'fascism' sounding similar and being spelled almost identical in Japanese.
If you weren't aware there's a lot of fashion these days that use the natural figure of the person to help with design and sexual appeal.
There's nothing wrong with sexuality, in fact you're kind of ridiculous for looking down on it as something bad or tasteless when it's closer to being righteous or tasteful solely due to it being the force responsible for you being alive. Have some respect.
I don't give a shit. I really don't care if it serves a purpose. I'm clearly not the target audience the message is supposed to go to. Was that supposed to change my opionion about it?
Gone Home had a deeper meaning and I still didn't like it.
And honestly from the cultural view point that exists in Japan, all that shit is also blatantly wrong.
This. KLK was actually incredibly light on the fanservice compared to what they could have done, simply being skimpy is hardly anything these days. They even had a plot reason that made sense as to why they were skimpy that was perfectly sci-fi. I'm guessing the anon would lose their mind if they were told A Princess of Mars is considered a classic work of literature and everybody is naked in it.
honestly I just found RWBY because of Monty. I thought it was neat that he was given full control of an original series that he created himself and was both being paid for it and people actually liked it. basically he had finally reached the point in his career most artists can only dream of. that's what made his death that much more depressing for me, especially since his legacy is now in less capable hands.
I came for Monty, but I stayed for
>KLK was actually incredibly light on the fanservice compared to what they could have done
I'm guessing the guy that was complaining about it isn't too familiar with TLR and the like.
>Are you calling him an idiot because he doesn't care about a show with a bunch of almost naked teenagers?
Yes, because as mentioned, the John Carter novels exist and are considered classics and 90% of the population in it is naked including the main characters yet it's considered to be amazing(And is, but I have to finish the later novels)
KLK has a plot and a sense of humor while exploring it and the adventure it goes on.
R8 and H8
Hey Thatch, AMBR anon here (well, Benis now). I thought I'd wait to respond to this because the thread was autosaging when I got here, but it took a lot longer to die than I thought. I really like the costume, but her face looks a bit old. Maybe have her hat slightly tilted to the side so one antler pokes out?
Neptune low, Jaune relatively low, Penny high, Edgy characters low, except Blake, whose place is a matter of debate, Neo mid-high, Roman high, Yang high...
I think that's about it, the rest is pretty subjective.
Oh, zwei low, because why would you do that?
Qwaser is nuts, it has a plot but everybody gets their powers by sucking on breasts for their mana milk or whatever, before or even mid-battle.
Then there was Daimidaler with its mecha powered by lust
Mega cuteness, and cravings for stereotypical foods.
So on a statement of personal preference and dislike you found reason to expand the argument to including great works of fiction that include nudity.
Motherfucker it's not like the original statement was a militant declaration of how it should be abolished. It just wasn't wanted.
People have different tastes. And that includes not liking a show that has a lot T&A shots of teenagers.
if you're going that route, there's one airing currently with an island full of only superpowered lesbians and their body transforms into weapons when you sexually arouse them so they start kissing and groping each other before a fight. it's so blatant that over half the screen is whitespace censoring sometimes
Shush, it's all according to keikaku
Oh fuck them. They probably believe that Quiet needing to breathe through her skin was a good reason for her to be in her underwear literally the entire game.
Those fags will dig them into a hole of denial like a tick digs into its unsuspecting host if there's any "logical" reason for their waifus to be half-naked.
No, I'm talking about that and everything else. Newfaggot comes in, stirs up shit, causes last thread to derail, makes this one early as a show of "look how much I totally fit in, guys!" and now starts causing more derailment. He's on my official list of people I hope choke on their next meal, right before Octavian
That's ur mums mouth m80, not me
But the bear already rocks the tilted hat thing.
And I can't make it a hood since the spider dude already has that too.
Pic related was a good concept
>And that includes not liking a show that has a lot T&A shots of teenagers
It really didn't, after the the first few episodes the close ups dropped away and they just transformed and fought. The show handled hype and drama pretty good, if you'd watched it then you would have remembered fondly scenes like Ryuuko finding out finally who killed her father. Or the great rebellion scene.
If someone likes RWBY they'd like KLK easily, you need to stop freaking out about sexuality. You'd have a good time if you sat down and watched the whole thing.
wouldn't mind being blindfolded, tied up, and listening to her voice taunting me tbqh
true that her story isn't developed well yet.
i find myself rating characters more on 'likeable' rather than quality as characters within a literary work. so that's that.
maybe I'm just having a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of having it ruin everything with it for you. you're basically automatically excludiing tons of good shit. I figured a RWBY fan of all people would be able to look past glaring flaws and still enjoy the work as a whole.
Finals week is hell and I still have a lot to do. I need to feel like it's alright and I can keep going. Post fluff.
I didn't like KLK (not even its concept got me hooked) but I do like RWBY.
Might even prefer it than the former.
Inferno Cop is the best thing Trigger has ever produced.
It's not that I was expecting something, just ... Not this
>But the bear already rocks the tilted hat thing.
And I can't make it a hood since the spider dude already has that too
That's true. Is it possible to have the antlers spike through the hat a little bit?
I don't understand why this is so hard for you to get.
I watched the entire thing and I didn't like it. I was turned off by the promience of T&A.
I'm not trying to impose that on other people. I'm not holding myself superior to other people. The pandering comment can be taken the wrong way but a lot of anime is made to pander to a certain sect of people and even the fans will admit that. A shitload of media is made to pander. It's what sells.
But somehow this is being painted as me slapping chastity belts on people.
Is it really that hard to accept that people may have different tastes from you?
I watch RWBY for the fight scenes. The ones in KLK were stylish but nothing like RWBY. I don't see how I would automatically like KLK as a result.
sure, let's go with that.
He's WWE's Christian of RWBY.
>One of the few main people of the show.
>Can fight well, but does not want trouble via out shining people. Yet still wants to be noticed.
>Middle jobs fights.
Yep definitely the Christian of RWBY.
Sounds weird but I guess KLK was too deep for you? Which is weird since KLK isn't really known for that, but RWBY and Inferno Cop are really shallow in the plot department.
You should watch Danger 5, if you like flashy-whimsy with simple plots. Season 2 gets amazing.
I've done 4 holiday seasons before and got opening shift on black friday twice, so glad I don't work retail anymore.
this reminds me, will the RWBY characters ever have to confront their characterizations? Ruby being hunted by a much stronger wolf grimm, Weiss falling deathly ill from poisoned food targeted at the Schnee heir, Jaune being hunted by an angry mob who wants to burn him at the stake, shit like that.
I always thought this was super cute.
I've been watching this for god knows how long trying to make sense of Neptune's movements.
>The pandering comment can be taken the wrong way but a lot of anime is made to pander to a certain sect of people and even the fans will admit that. A shitload of media is made to pander. It's what sells.
Excpet KLK wasn't really like the pandering shows and wasn't rated as one of them for various reasons by the anime community. I know you THINK you know what you're talking about, but you don't.
The show ended up being a battle shounen hot blooded revenge quest with transforming magical girls and a plot to destroy the Earth. People stood up and fucking lost it when the rebellion happened. The beheading? The years of abuse that's still talked about today? Shit.
And nobody is going to believe you watched it due to what you're saying.
Ah, yes, significantly better
He's supposed to be a shitty dancer.
Ooph. I'm in the same position as you.
We can do it, anon!
If god is real, I will catch Emerald trying to snatch my wallet on the last day of finals.
I did not like it. I just did not fucking like it. Is that really so fucking hard to believe?
And the pandering comment wasn't even about KLK but anime in general.
That fucking plot does not interest me. It does not. Why is that so hard to believe? People outside of yourself do exist and they like different things.
If there was a singular thing that everyone cannot not like Glen Cook would be a household name in my opionion. But that is my opinion. There are people who don't like Glen Cook. People don't like the Black Company. And I have accepted that.
And I do not understand why you cannot.
I'm not so sure that's definitive proof though, could just be Sun's thief senses activating since he's had to hide shit to not get caught, and so he could tell she was clearly hiding something too. from that he just put 2 and 2 together.
or maybe what you said is right, I just think it seems a bit too ambiguous still.
Always. I prefer thin Coco, but who am I to turn down thighs?
Wasn't referring to the plot, I'd rather read a novel if I wanted plot or maybe like epic related to a more risque theme with a sincere poignant nature into them.
It's what it was going for, Inferno Cop is there because it tries to be not more than its trying to show and immediately hooks you in just by its style alone (It feels like a show you'd find in AS but japanese).
I found KLK nothing more than "wait it gets better later" kind of thing which I think is a poor way to sell your show.
>That fucking plot does not interest me
Not him but the plot of RWBY is gonna wind up being really similar. Something involving the moon and grimm yadda yadda destroy the Earth/mankind and stakes are going to go up and they're going to get serious once one of them gets grievously injured/dies (Pyrrha?) and Ruby learns about her mother's fate. All really similar to what happened in KLK.
It's a real dance move that actually looks great.
He's shuffling on his right foot in one direction and tapping the floor with his left.
The angle of the shot kind of makes it looks like he's flailing around, though.
Both of you, go deepthroat a cactus and quit shitting up this thread.
I was referring to the post I responded to
>also, i guess i'm alone in liking coco and cinder.
Cinder yes, but as for Coco I'm with you. So maybe not so much brothers of African descent, but maybe cousins or something
>most of my grades are pretty solid except for one
>all I gotta do is not completely bomb the final exam
>tfw I'm probably going to bomb
>>tfw I'm probably going to bomb
Hey, don't give up. My grade in Microbiology was riding on my final, I got by with just what I needed to pass. If my dumb as can do it I have faith in you.
>That does not sound appealing to me at all.
It's not super grim our serious, it's pretty lighthearted for the most part like RWBY but there are moments when Isshin's death is brought up that makes Ryuuko genuinely wrathful. Also the seriousness of what's going on and the people involved calls for a more serious attitude that's still approached with style later on.
Well depends on what standard you go on.
By the standard of tumblr: not bad.
By the standard of imgur: you're probably gonna be burned at the stake.
By the standard of 4chan: you're almost certainly going to burn at the stake.
>There are people that don't like Cinder's voice
Do I go seek medical attention because I like it.
New Challenge, /RWBYg/! Use Beaconship to rate the characters ONLY in terms of weapons/fighting styles!
Yes. Both of them are stupid, bit I'll take the stupid that at least tried to stay on-topic rather than two cunts bitching about their tastes that have nothing to do with RWBY or even RT in general at all. Because "waah why don't you like X" "why do you LIKE X?" "blahblahblahvlahavlafignewgkr"
Nolan a best. Battle Prod is best ship.
Love you anon.
That's why I'll need a miracle.
I'll catch her hand and invite her out for a bite to eat and a drink.
Shit, are you me? I'm pretty much only worried about one class too.
>tfw spawned one of the best threadcanons by asking why he had a cattleprod weapon
Many thanks anon.
I want art of Fido.
That was a series singular stylized frames alternatively played over and over again still images where the camera angle is zooming in and long dramatic screams.
You really don't see the difference between that and RWBY?
How many times did you click everybody else then?
>Grimm murder weapon Zwei at the bottom
>Ozpin never fought and doesn't even have a weapon
Yea, I'm just tired of people expecting novel-tier greentexts and complaining that it shouldn't be allowed.
It's a thread past time that no one has cared about except one or two fucks in the past, and most people could enjoy and could skip over if they didn't.
Are you legitimately retarded.
It's a masturbation session with a self insert. Some names have been plugged in to make it RWBY related and that's it.
This isn't fan fiction general.
It's my god given right to complain about it.
Early thread, rise of the namefags, one newfaggot acting like a superior cunt, off topic debates about anime and whether you should like fanservice or not, and now the old greentext argument. I hope all of you choke on your spit when you sleep.
You are on 4chan. Ignoring all the fucking bullshit people have built around it do you honestly expect anyone to do that?
And where did it say it shouldn't be allowed. It was just called shit, which it is.
Correct, making it perfectly on-topic. If you want to give it legitimate criticism, start with that, not just "It's shit, why do you enjoy this and why is it on my thread"
That particular one was an unplanned greentext that was made up on the spot, not one that was planned beforehand
So, what's the thread's opinion on Season 3 so far?
>Plenty of fight scenes
>Animation seems to have improved
>Story actually seems to be going somewhere now
>Actual voice actors
>Villains actually fighting to show they can be a credible threat
>Didn't decide to just make Ren mute
>Hints at Weiss and Yang's backstories
>A few of the visiting hunters felt bland
>Ironwood still being a colossal nob and waving around his military dick for no real reason
>Nothing mentioned of what's happening with Adam or Roman yet
>Ruby is STILL being taken out of focus
>Team FNKY. All of it.
Personally it's not perfect, but I feel a lot better about it than I did a few months ago.
Thousand-time folded steel, infused with dust, cuts through Grimm and Blake's clothes like a hot-knife through butter.
>Team FNKY. All of it.
Not entirely true, you've only seen half of them. Now we go interrogate Miles (Luna, not the namefag) for the other half
>more waifu/husbando(minus roman) screen time
>Writiers still couldn't write their way out of a cardboard box
>making it perfectly on topic.
You are legitimately retarded.
Legitimate criticisms will not be given for such a thing. They can be given but why?
It's shit. That is an opinion someone holds and that is the opinio2n that was given.
It's a circle jerk green text. If somebody looks at it and says it's shit he's correct.
>Writiers still couldn't write their way out of a cardboard box
If you can write your way out of a cardboard box by boring a hole through repetitive writing, I'm sure they can write their way out of plot holes by brute force
Which isn't a good thing.
The fight scenes have declined in quality to a great degree.
Say what you will about Monty but the man knew how to at least film a fight scene and the close up shots, constant cuts and declining choreography are making what used to be the only good thing about RWBY go to shit.
On the other hand, as if to balance it out, everything else has been improving.
Then why bother stating it as such? Is it worth the effort to type it up and post it? Does it make you feel better to get your hot opinions off your chest?
Also, I'm autistic, get it right
> Better animation , figths and all that
> More characters and with more focus (just a little bit) on others, not just team RWBY adn JNPR
> Mostly of the teams who lost on the tournament just felt like it was their first fight or had poor training
>The only good character on team SSSN was Sun, by far
>The Festival is going too fast, i would love to see more figths like team CFVY first one or CMEN or even Penny's team
>I didn't know this was /b/.
Have you ever been outside of /rwbyg/? Ever?
There is no guro being posted. Or memes. Something that was shit was called shit.
Have the circle jerks blinded you as they are colloquially said to do so?
Then I gotta start writing then.
>There is boy
>Boy had big dream
>He wanted to be great someday
>His parents and their parents before them were great
>People love good family
>But boy does not know how to be great
>His other siblings was getting good at one thing after another.
>This makes boy very sad, but still very determined
>Years later, boy is now fine young man
>Still don't know how to be great though
>But is still determined
>Family not do great anymore.
>Family drive all other good people away.
>Boy do not like family not do good.
>Up to boy to finally be great for family and bring good people back.
>Boy has plan to be great but first has to learn the way how to.
>Boy want to leave for couple of years to learn how to be great.
>Siblings give boy bad time
>Except for one, sister
>Sister help boy with dream because sister believe in boy
>Boy secretly leave but not with sister
>Boy is sad but still determined.
>Now knowing how to be great, boy can't wait to get back home and make family good again.
>Jaune hurry up, you're going to be late for your match!
>Yeah, just give me a sec
>Boy also found many friends to help him be great and maybe future wife too.
>Ok, now let's go.
Team FNKY a con? That was a gutsy move anon... I dig it.
Ehhhh, it's very much a boutique/niche/SMG created to solve a problem no one had kind of gun. I admit the mechanism is pretty neat and could have potential if it could be updcaled to a rifle caliber weapon, but it's an SMG chambered .45acp which no SMG really uses and most SWAT/Military close combat units are mostly using SBR (Short Barreled Rifles) in place of SMGs anyway. Still, cool technology, just wrong time wrong caliber.
The monkey girl was annoying as fuck and looked like an entire rave threw up on her. The musician actually had a good design and concept of using dust-powered music to fight, but... Flynt Cole. Why?
Have to say, I'm really liking this manga's style. Can't wait for the next chapter
Theory: Pyrrha is the only one in her family with any kindness. Her family is made up of mostly women who are based on Amazonian warriors and the few men are kept around as servants/sex slaves.
Which was fine in XR&V since that's the whole point of that show, but using it not only in this context, but after they've already used it in a more appropriate context is just baffling.
>Stronger character-focused writing
>More creative shot composition
>Fights are more infused with personalities of those participating.
>Much healthier pacing style
>Deeper exploration of world with relative fluency
>Fights are less interesting overall in a visual sense
>More animation shortcuts apparent.
I'm loving season 3.
That contrast is actually something I really like about those two and their relationship. Sun, despite his relaxed, happy-go-lucky demenour, is the one who charges in and gets shit done. While Blake, the passionate activist, tends to either run from her problems or just do nothing and stew in her own emotions until someone pushes her to act.
>This is literally the man that voiced Flynt.
This is my first time posting in these threads. This is more of a /v/ question but I figured if I was to ask about the game it would be best done here. I wanted to get it because four player co-op interests me and I just started watching the series, almost done with S1.
For those who have Grimm Eclipse, how much should I already have seen before trying to jump in?
>Fights are more infused with the personalities of those participating.
Flynt is best member. Neon is the worst faunus in the series.
eh..going through /rwbyg/ really makes me feel like i'm borderline normie on some spectrum.
i never found myself picky regarding the specifics of characters or storylilnes. just in general liking and disliking. no really strong opinions. i think /rwbyg/ still finds enjoyment in the show, but if we're saying rwby is good but could be better, a lot of things could be better.
i'm probably tumblrfag and redditfag to you all.
sorry for blogging.
Dude I fucking love Oobleck. And didn't we get a glimpse of him already in S1 already?
anyway thanks for the responses >>78045807
Anyone liking the game so far for what it is?
Jesus Christ I'm dying, it's like Jaune's a low-Intelligence character in Fallout.
Me too, although I'd say that they're actual personalities are the flip-flop once again. Blake's Semblance may be escapist and passive, she's done more for the Faunus cause than Sun is ever likely to do by the act of doing SOMETHING at all. Sun doesn't do much even if his Semblance is "active" compared to Blake's. I like the Blake-Sun relationship, but I think that at the end of the day, Sun's apathy will spoil the whole thing.
It's going to be difficult to articulate what I mean, but I'll try
>Flashy, interesting, thrilling
>Devoid of much emotion or character expression
>Uninteresting fight choreography
>Characters' personalities are at the focus, and interactions are emphasized.
I love Monty's work, but when people started to fight, they often turned from characters into nameless models just doing through the motions. The new fights are "bad", but they're more emotive to the characters.
Remember when JNPR started dancing perfectly out of nowhere and how weird it was despite being pleasing to the eyes? That's how I felt about a lot of RWBY fights. All style, no substance.
This I think summarizes the major changes in the fights. The fights are slower, more deliberate which allows us to catch the corners they're cutting on the action scenes, but I completely agree the emotion and impact is much more noticeable now.
They majorly improved the facial animations with this volume, that's probably the biggest improvement with this volume and that's been conveyed into the fights. I'm personally for this change honestly, it gives everyone a much bigger shot of personality than they had before. I mean fuck, Yatsu finally has some idea of a personality beyond just a mute giant. That kind of stuff is all gravy in my book.
If Monty comes back from the hospital sooner, he can probably fuse those both together maybe for the finale seeing how both can be integrated together in a fight scene really well.
Um... Thatcher buddy?
Is that a joke or are you serious about him coming back from the hospital?
>If Monty comes back from the hospital sooner
I'm too drunk to tell if this is sarcasm.
If only he could....
Although I think he usually monopolized the fights beyond the point that any emotion could be conveyed.
Exactly. I'm not saying the fights in RWBY are "good", but I'm saying that you can more clearly see the traits of the characters within them than before. Nowadays it's more "Yang is fighting" than "Yang model, engage in fight-mode."
It's not only uninteresting, it's just blatantly bad.
And the interactions are still pockmarked by the gaping holes that were present before. They're not particularly well planned out and the writing is janky.

She has a tail, though it's understandable to miss seeing how garishly loud and absurd the rest of her get-up is.

Props to you if this is a troll because now I'm really worried for you, but in case it's not man I'm sorry you had to find out this way.
